What replaces Adobe 10- photographing & printing at events.
Adobe PSE 10 in my mind still surpasses any of the newer PSE versions & Lightroom for cataloging & transferring photos. I create a catalog for each event we photograph, am able to create individual tags from a list I've made that is always available on the right panel, drag photos to the editor, grab photos by caption & drag them to a cd or usb to process orders. We also print on sight & I do not have time to learn all the "shortcuts" alt... etc when I can drag a photo to it's destination quickly & easily. I use different versions of PSE's editor to process photos but the latest versions 11,12,13... have lost some key features available in PSE 10.
One example missing in recent PSE versions is the arrow keys which are critical in my usage. I can look at 5, 10!! different photos one at a time & go back to each previously viewed photo without having to view ALL on the grid & do a "find" again. Any suggestions on where go? I'd love an updated version PS Cloud, Lightroom but when I tried Lightroom it wouldn't let me drag & drop for instance when grabbing a couple of picked photos to a cd .I found the tagging complicated as I could not set up for each individual event... too many steps takes up time I don't often have.
Update:
I';ve resolved this issue by adding the printer to the machines with the queue name "lp" and using generic post script drivers, not the Xerox drivers. Prints PDF now, but not with the full printer configuration options.

Go to File>print in Editor. In the dialog that comes up, you should see "Page Setup". Select "Portrait".
This assumes that the file is in portrait orientation as well, before sending it to the printer.
As for question #2, I am unaware of a numeric sequence such as you would like in this program. You can alter file size via File>save for web, however. -

We are looking to replace our LaserJet 8150dn printer. What model replaced the 8100 series? - Thanks
Hi Allan...
Will try to keep this short. Tried to respond yesterday...but message kept coming back as undeliverable.
I am in SW Louisiana.
Did some checking. Back in Sept of 2006, my screen went black and was experiencing some "popping sounds" prior to it going black. Took it to Baton Rouge (about a 2 hour drive) to CompUSA. They kept it a month and "repaired" it. If I do some serious looking in boxes of old receipt files, I may be able to find the receipt. (Kept receipts because we got flooded out by Katrina in the New Orleans area and was living with mother-in-law during repairs.)
Currently I have the same little problem described earlier to you...collapse to center and black screen for about 15 minutes. Once or twice daily. It has been consistant since first happening back in August...and usually daily when on the computer.
My computer is in the G84201xxxxx range and an eMac USB 2.0.
Saw the message to look at the ones on eBay. Saw a used computer lab one for about $150. May decide to buy it. (Am leery because I bought one some years ago that turned out to be stolen -- I had to give it up when a tech working on the screen saw the serial number from a list of stolen computers from a college computer lab.)
Basically, in your opinion, this problem that I am having will or will not get worse? Capicator problem or cable problem?
Am wondering if the fix done in '06 actually replaced the cable? and WHY I was not told of the recall problem at the time. I know that I had to pay well over $100 for the fix, whatever it was.
Anyway, I will call the 1-800 number this week but expect little or no assistance from them.
When experiencing the problem initially back in 2006, I called Apple tech support and they could do nothing for me and my problem? My extended warranty had run out and was no longer renewable. Strange, if there was a recall fix out there for the problem that I was having, nothing was told to me.
Anyway, thanks for your input!

What is a good app to replace adobe flash player
what is a good app to replace adobe flash player?
If you are using a Mac computer you can install Flash on a Mac for your browser to use.
If you are using an iPhone or an iPad, there is no mobile version of Flash for those devices. There are browsers for the iPhone/iPad that give folks access to websites that use Flash with varying degrees of success and satisfaction. Skyfire is not available for those devices in the US. -
I just installed Adobe CreatePDF desktop printer on a Windows 7 home PC. When I try to use from Word or EWxcel, it does not print. The Adobe print device queue reports an "error" in the status column.
Adobe retired this Feb 17, 2014.
This app sent content to and got content from the web based services of "CreatPDF" and "PDF Pack".
These are subscription services out in "the cloud". When the app was live you had to be online and signed into your account. The user forum for CreatePDF has a DOC that speaks to the app removal.

Unable to use Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer
I want to convert a web page (html) to a PDF document. When I tried to do this using my Adobe PDF Pack, I received a message indicating that I would have to do it using the Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer. So, I downloaded and installed the Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer as directed. I went to the web page and printed the document to the Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer, as directed in the instructions. I received the following error message: Could not open the file. Access is denied.
What do I do now?I get exactly the same result. It doesn't work. Please note that I am
trying to SAVE the web page as a PDF file. That is, I am trying to convert
a web page (html) to a PDF document. I am not trying to print it. I want
a copy of the PDF version of the web page to save on my computer.
In any event, printing it does not work. I get the same error message I
indicated in my first missive. And, yes, my printer is working just fine.
Please: tell me how to use the
<http://forums.adobe.com/message/5836668#5836668> Adobe CreatePDF Desktop
Printer to convert a web page to a PDF document. When I try to do that,
using my Adobe PDF pack, I get this message:
"Adirondack-Wildfl ... ng-Shrub-List.html" is in a format not supported for
conversion to PDF.
You can save the file to one of the supported formats or use the PDF printer
for Windows to convert the file. For a list of supported file formats
<https://createpdf.acrobat.com/redir/cpdf_cpdf_supported> click here"
When I clicked on the link, I received these instructions:
e_to_PDF>
http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat-com/kb/using-pdfpack.html#main_Convert_a_file
toPDF This page included the following:
"To convert a file type not listed above, use
<http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat-com/kb/using-pdfpack.html#main_adobePDF_desk
top_printer> Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer. " So, I clicked on that link
and downloaded the Adobe CreatePDF Printer. I followed these instructions:
"Print To PDF Setup
The Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer lets you convert any file (in a
printable format) to PDF by printing it from an application on your desktop.
The resulting file is saved automatically to your Adobe PDF Pack account,
and you receive an email when conversion is complete. The desktop printer
functionality is available for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. You
don't need any special hardware to print to Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer.
To print to the Adobe CreatePDF printer, first install and configure the
Adobe CreatePDF Desktop printer. Then, open a file in its native application
and choose the print function. Select the Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer
from the printer list, choose the appropriate print settings, and then print
the file. Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer converts the file to PDF, and then
stores the PDF file in your Acrobat.com account."
So, the instructions say that the Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer will
convert a file to PDF and store it in my Acrobat.com account. It doesn't do
that. I tried just printing it (after selecting Adobe CreatePDF Desktop
Printer). I also tried printing to file. In both cases, I get an error
message, and there is no file stored in my Acrobat.com account.
It doesn't work.

What is the best program for designing event flyers? I am looking for something basic and simple.
Poor old Photoshop® is forever being put down when it comes to layout work, but it is perfectly capable, and can output a high quality print PDF the printer will be perfectly happy with. OK you don't have the text flow between columns bells and whistles of InDesign and [spit] Publisher, but if you have a $10/month Photoshop/Lightroom subscription, instead of the $50/month full subscription, don't think you can't do a perfectly good flyer or poster.

In CC214 PS Why has adobe removed the "print Size Button" And why have they made the Brush preview window so small you can't see the effects to accurately adjust them?
These two things need to be remedied in their upgrades because It's become such a bother I've had to revert to older versions of PS.Yea, and it's a pain to get to. What was the rational for removing the print size button? With the magnifying glass tool selected in older versions of Photoshop you would get a button that says "print size" right next to Actual pixels, Fit Screen, Fill Screen. Now I have to go out of my way and dig for it if I want to see the print size. Of all the buttons you could have taken away, why not fill screen? I never use that.
Besides the point I just downloaded the Oct Upgrade for PS and surprise! Nothing has changed and these are two big black eyes on newer versions of Photoshop. The Brush preview window is unchanged in CC but in CC2014 it's basically worthless. If you apply a texture to a brush you can't properly see the scale of the texture, the spacing, scatter, etc... -
As we were instructed I attempted to download the new Adobe Cloud to replace Adobe CS6 as it is about to expire. It had been downloading for about an hour when I lost power due to a storm. It was only off 20 minutes. When it came back up it had stopped because my internet of course was also off. Now I have tried to do it again and it tells me “that number has already been approved and uploaded” However, it has not because I do not have the cloud programs yet. I still have my CS6 but I am not sure what to do from here. Can you assist with this please?
After admittedly only a quick read the one thing you don't say is how you are trying to make this move. Most people with moving library issues do it the wrong way. Plenty of web sites tell you how to do it the wrong way.
If the iTunes application is started before the drive with the library is fully mounted and awake iTunes will revert back to the internal drive. -
Where do my Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer Files Go?
I've spent hours looking through the Adobe website for a simple answer to a simple question.
One reader replied that all you have to do is log on to your account and you will find the document right there. Good guess, but sorry. Not so. Just to test his theory I printed 500,000 pages. I watched the Windows 7 print window to make sure all pages got spooled and printed. They did, but they cannot be found.
My congratulations to Adobe for the company with best no customer support support. Once I log on there is no where to enter a simple question. You can however enter something to start a discussion. Maybe, just maybe someone might happen along and make a correct guess. Who knows?
And then you find a page like this one:
Whoops. Just like Adobe. Set up a window to enter an Image. Select the image, meet the requirements. Select the image. An hour later no image, no error message, but the window is still up and active.
When you open the Printer window, and it shows the files printing to Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer, why do some files have the status of "error?" What does "error" mean? Where can I find what "error" is there and how to fix it? Or am I just some dumb ******* who gives up my money for nothing in return.
Adobe is as adobe has always been. Impossible to navigate. Slow, slow, slow. And impossible to get any customer service. And I am the dumbhead that pays for it.This document should help explain a bit What is the Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer and how do I install it? The files get stored back in your online account.
Also, make sure you have this information completed as well. -
Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer
I have a subscription to Adobe CreatePDF. I've downloaded the Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer and can see it in my list of printers. However, when I try to print a doc using the Desktop Printer, the doc doesn't print and I get 'error' under status. I've tried reinstalling the Desktop Printer but that hasn't helped. Can you advise?
I had this same problem. I'm running Windows 7, Service Pack 1. That was the problem. After countless times installing and uninstalling the Desktop Printer, with no success fixing the problem, I finally came across a notice from Adobe that Windows 7, Servicce Pack 1 is to blame. The only fix is to go to Microsoft and download a hotfix for the issue. Microsoft will email you a link to the hotfix. The hotfix is downloaded as a zip file. I recommmend extracting it to your desktop and then double clicking the extracted file. (The default extraction process wanted to dump it somewhere I couldn't ever find on my system. That's why I recommend extracting to your desktop.)
After a system restart, the Desktop Printer should work just fine. It did for me.
This is the link Microsoft emailed to me:
http://hotfixv4.microsoft.com/Windows%207/Windows%20Server2008%20R2%20SP1/sp2/Fix381852/76 00/free/437635_intl_x64_zip.exe
You can also try searching for KB Article Number: 2616471
Even though, this is a Microsoft issue, I'm very angry that Adobe doesn't have the courtesy to save us all a bunch of headache by including a disclaimer and/or instructions for the hotfix next to the install Desktop Printer instructions. I mean, isn't the majority of Adobe's customers running Windows 7, Service Pack 1? What a freaking waste of my time it was to go through this hassle. -

Solution 1: Use a supported installation.
The following are unsupported installations, and the supported solutions:
If you install Acrobat (Professional or Standard) on a 64-bit operating system, then you may
see this error. Please update Acrobat to version 8.1 or later. You can update from within
Acrobat via the help pull-down menu, or download the updater from the following location:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows.
If you install Acrobat to a shared network disk instead of a local hard disk, then the Adobe PDF
printer is not installed. Install Acrobat on a local hard disk.

1. Choose Start > SetI am having similar problems. After years of successful use, about a year ago, my printer (Epson stylus Photo R300) stopped working. After much investigation, it appears my computer no longer recognizes my printer. I've followed resets, safe boots, uninstalls, reinstalls, etc. This happened so long ago, I don't recall what I was doing when it happened. I'm figuring it happened shortly after a Software Update... So far none of the fixes recommended to me have solved the problem. I've been using Epson customer support, but they've stopped responding. None of their suggestions have seemed to work either.

Adobe Create PDF printer not working fully!
Hi all!
I have a minor problem with Adobe Create PDF printer. I installed and I was able to print couple word docs, but stopped working.
I dont know why. I am still able to print web pages and others, but cant "print" pdf from word, ooutlook, Autocad, etc.
It is stopped working correctly after I tried to print from Autocad, also I have had problems with activating my Photoshop sub and Adobe support made same changes to my AAM and Photoshop, may be that is what caused my problem, I don't know, neither does support. Support has no other idea we went thru every detail but still can't use Create PDF correctly.
Any ideas?
I have already installed this hotfix:
http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat-com/kb/createpdf-desktop-printer-windows-7.html
But still no solution.Hi Pleso
Can you login to this website https://createpdf.acrobat.com/signin.html using same account?
Please email me directly at [email protected] and we can do a online session to troubleshoot this issue.
Thanks
