What sounds should come through Bluetooth

Hello, I just got a Blackberry Curve 8330.  This is my first Blackberry so I know very little.  I was wondering if all alerts and sounds should come through my Bluetooth headset?  The only thing I am am hearing through the Bluetooth are calls.  I don't hear text or email alerts and the ringtone I hear for calls is not the ringtone I have setup on the phone.  Also, when I do receive a call the sound still comes through the speaker on the phone. On my old phone when the Bluetooth was enabled it shut off the all sounds to the speaker on the phone and routed everything to the Bluetooth.  Is there a way to get the Curve 8330 to do that?  Thanks

(Sorry this may be difficult to read, but) Perhaps policy routing will fit the bill:
interface
ip policy route-map ISP_B
route-map ISP_B
match ip address 1
set ip next-hop
next_hop_of_ISP_B
-or- set interface interface_facing_ISP_B
access-list 1 permit 203.121.14.0 0.0.0.255

  • I can't get the sound to come through my headphones

The sound on my computer is working just fine but when I plug my headphones in, the sounds still comes through my computer. I know it isn't the headphones because I have tested them on other devices and they work fine.

    Jeff,
Unless I'm misunderstanding something technical, I think we're talking about two different things. Yes, I understand your point about copying DVD's, copy protection, etc. But the main point of this, and other, threads is not about breaking copy protection; it's about successfully converting video to put it on iPod, and retaining the audio. I have a bunch of short, non-copy protected, non-copyrighted video clips on my computer that the Conversion tool in iTunes simply won't convert with audio. That's where the "muxed" thing comes into play, or whatever it is. My clips vary: some are .mpg, some are .avi, whatever. I don't think iTunes successfully converted a single one of them. I ended up downloading some third party software that I learned about in these discussion forums.
That's my point. Whatever it is that these third party programs do, why can't Apple make iTunes do it?
Am I missing something? Are what these programs doing tied into breaking copy protection? Is there some link between "de-muxing" (is that right?) and removing copy protection? I plead ignorance on this one.

The auxillary jack on my Itouch does not allow sound to come through with headphones, though it works in a dock as well as external speakers.  How can I fix this?

You can try the standard fixes of reset, restore from backup and restore to factory defaults to rule out a hsoftware proble.  Frequently it is to to a problem with the eadphone jack and the solution is to replace the jack.

  • When using earphones, sound still comes through speakers

When I plug in my earphones, the sound still comes through the speaker

    Hi @jasbreezy ,
I saw your post regarding the sound coming out of both the speakers and headphones. I will be happy to help you with that. Try setting just the headphones as the default audio device instead of both. Do the headphones you use have a microphone by any chance?

  • I have the earliest version iPad (updated running system) I am trying to use my earbuds. How do I turn off the external audio so the sound only comes through the earbuds?

I am trying to use earbuds with my iPad Earliest version with updated running system. How do I get the sound to only come through the esrbuds and not be audible to everyone around me? Thanks!

    That's strange.
You should inky be getting audio from the headphones.
Make sure that they are plugged in all the way.
If they aren't, you will get both audio.
Turn up the volume on your ipad with the buttons.
where it shows the bell, it should say Headphones.

  • Sound should come while saving a form

    Hi All,
I am currently facing with a requirement where whenever user saves the changes in a form, the Ding sound should also come.
Is there any changes that should be done with respect to the application server?
    Appreciate your help
    Thanks & Regards
    Maddy.

    Hello Andreas,
The "quiet" parameter is for running and debugging a form from the builder in 10g R2 10.1.2.0.2, [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/web.1012/b14032/configure003.htm#sthref147]RunForm Paramaters
This has nothing to do with the sounds, and I can hear the bell tolling clearly regardless of the value of this paramater.
are we talking about the same parameter????

  • When i plug in headphones, the sound still comes through the computer.

I have them plugged into the right slot but it comes through both the headphones and the laptop. I updated the drivers and ran a systems check with the HP Support Assistant but it couldnt find anything. Is it just a setting problem or is it something wrong with the hardware?

  • Sound only comes through one headphone

I use my ipod with a belkin accessory in the car to play through my radio speakers and it plays fine, i havent used my ipod with headphones for a while and doesnt matter which headphones i use can only get one headphone to work and i know its not the headphones as they work fine on my husbands ipod, im wondering if its the jack that is damaged, if this is so, would it be cheaper to buy a new ipod than try to get it repaired?

It probably is the jack. You can check with http://www.iresq.com and see what they charge to replace a headphone jack (you can Google for other 3rd party repair sites), you can buy a headphone jack and replace it yourself (http://www.ifixit.com has videos on how to disassemble your iPod so you can see if you want to attempt this).
    Or you can buy this:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA070G/D
    and bypass the headphone jack.

  • Sound only comes through one ear bud

Sound is now only coming through one ear bud.  When I check the headphones with other devices, both ear buds have sound, so it must be the iPod.  Has anyone experienced something similar.

It usually a likely indicator that your headphone jack is damaged and in need of replacement.  You can have it serviced by Apple or a third party repair service for a little less.

  • Sound not comming through both side of my earbuds

This is driving me crazy I cant hear in both earbuds. At first I thought it was just something wrong with the earbuds so i bought some more and i am still having the same problem. I did a reset on my ipod and that didnt work. I dont know what to do.

Did you try a different set of headphones with the laptop? Once headphones stop working, often times you can only hear sound from one side.

  • Cannot get sound to come through my iPad it keeps coming up airplay dock connector and I can't switch it off ?, Cannot get sound to come through my iPad it keeps coming up airplay dock connector and I can't switch it off ?

The sound on my iPad sound doesn't always work, it will work without headphones for less than 3 minutes when I'm playing music but will work for longer when I'm not. It will work for an hour maybe with head phones in but then stop, in which time I have to take them out and put them back in to get the sound to work again. When the sound isn't working airplay says the sound is coming out of a dock connector, and the option, 'iPad' goes.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other problem

  • Not able to get the sound from my tv to come through my surround sound speakers

I have a new Samsung 46" tv and a new yamaha receiver also a new Samsung blu-ray player.  I currently have an HDMI cable going from my tv to my receiver and a short HDMI cable going to my Blu-ray player and the old style red and white rca cables from my tv to my receiver.  The surround sound works great when playing  the blu-ray but no luck when watching regular tv.  I have tried to change the tv speakers to external speakers but all is silent when i do that.  I have read on the other post of similiar problems and the solution seemed to be using an optical digital cable.  I have also read on prior post that i should be able to accomplish this with just the HDMI cable.  I do not have a cable box only a cable line coming into the house and straight to the tv.  Do i even need the rca cables?

When i purchased the equipment from best buy i told them what all i was trying to accomplish and this is the exact way i was told to make the connections keep in mind i know nothing when it comes to electronics so i wrote the instructions from the salesrep word for word.  Here is what I have. My tv is located on one side of the room and receiver and blu-ray on the other about 25' from each other.  I have regular cable coming to the tv   and I have an HDMI cable coming from HDMI (DVI- IN)  on the tv to HDMI(OUT) on my RX-V367 receiver. the i have a short HDMI cable going from my receiver (HDMI/DVD) to my blu-ray (HDMI out).  My RCA cables came into play when I told the rep. that I wanted my tv sound to come through my surround sound. He said they did not have a digital optical cable with a length of 25' to reach from tv to receiver so I would have to use RCA cables and to connect them from (audio component IN) on my tv to (AV OUT) on my tv.  The input on my receiver when watching tv in on HDMI 1.
