What the font is going on here?

I am working with a design firm that creates business cards for companies that have numerous and repeat orders. The process that is used to make the printing plates involves a pdf. I am using Live Cycle Designer 7.0 to make a dynamic pdf that imports XML data from a form online. My application performs beautifully but I have encountered some issues with fonts.
I work with a PC and my client uses a Mac, it seem we can only use open face fonts in the dynamic pdf for it to work on both ends. This greatly reduces my font selection provided in Live Cycle. I have discovered I cannot add to this selection using coventional methods.
Is there a way to use an open face font that is not listed in Live Cycle?
Here is a post I found that seems like the answer I need But I don't understand what to do;
"Why is the default font for Designer non-adjustable? Many businesses have a corporate font, and most of them do not use Myriad Pro! The Adobe Support team to told me to edit the font tags in the object .xfo files to the typeface I require - but that is not a solution, that's a HACK! And what if I need to produce documents in numerous fonts? Must I keep an archive of objects, each set to a different font, and then drop them in and out of my application data folder as needed??"

Okay my friends, maybe some of you could give me a clue what the heck is going on.
For the first time EVER, I keep getting this dialog box cropping up. It says something like Motorola Phone on top of the dialog box, and Incoming File Transfer for what seems to be a JPG image...Like HUH????????
I've had my own computer for over a year now and never got such a thing before. I click the decline button each time it crops up. How do I get rid of this annoying thing..I don't dare accept and open it since I don't even know what the heck it is.
Anyone ever get this?? Anyone have a clue what this is? It's friggin annoying...want to get rid of the darn thing but wouldn't know how..like I said I've never gotten this before.
Now I know Macs aren't supposed to get viruses and some of my PC user friends have suggested that maybe I try to get a virus/spyware scan and directed me to a few freebie places...I just don't like the idea of downloading anything and particularly from a freebie place
If any of you do have any kind of freebie scans that you have used that you know are to be safe could you tell me which?
I did shut down my computer then rebooted...hoping whatever kinks I may have gotten may have resolved itself

In the right conditions, Bluetooth can work up to 30 feet, and through walls. It can't do anything unless you let it. Look in the "Bluetooth" system preference. See if anything shows in the left column. If so, you can select it and see information about in in the right column. Click on the gear at the lower left to see if there is an option to ignore that particular device, or if you aren't using Bluetooth, you can turn it off with the upper-left checkbox.

The Restore Previous Session DOES NOT work. Every single time I close out a window with multiple tabs on it, whenever I restore Firefox, all it does is bring up the home page again!
I have my settings set to "Show my windows and tabs from last time" in the start up on the Options.
I have the "Firefox will: Use Custom settings for history" with the "Clear history when Firefox closes" box UNCHECKED.
I am NOT using Private Browsing.
I HAVE deleted the sessionstore.bak and sessionstore.js files from the Profile folder. SEVERAL times.
I even have the browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash in the about:config file set to TRUE, though I haven't yet attempted to trigger a manual shutdown through Task Manager to see if this will still happen.
Thing is, I shouldn't have to! I want to know what the problem could be, and how it can be fixed! I'm getting more than a little irritated with having to manually pull up each and every single one of my tabs that were closed, even though the browser should ALREADY and automatically do that FOR me!
I am currently using Firefox version 20.0.1, and it says I'm currently using the most up-to-date browser.
Please help. I can't think of anything else that might be the problem with this.

Ok, what the heck is going on here!!!!!

I'm really getting sick of iTunes screwing with my music, iTunes on my windows pc. Practically every song skips to one degree or another. The same cuts DO NOT skip on the iPod, so I know it is iTunes. I've tried various things to stop it, the most recent was right clicking on iTunes within windows task manager and giving it a "High" priority, but that does nothing to stop the skipping. I would appreciate it very much of someone here can give me a fix for this.
I use the pc by the way because right now I don't have decent speakers for my iMac yet. Just not in the budget right now.

I appreciate the link StarDeb55, but it looks as though I'm up to par with all of the information mentioned. Do you have anymore ideas as to how I can get this functioning properly?
I haven't heard one skip on my iMac. Maybe I should just splurge and go get some good speakers for my iMac Tonight was kind of the last straw (so to speak) and I just decided to see if I could hear any skips on the iMac, and since my initial post I've been playing music on the iMac, and it hasn't skipped once. If it was the pc, it would've skipped plenty.

I recently exported a slideshow from iphoto to idvd and the slideshow fit but when i did the exact same slide show with all the ken burns effects in imovie/idvd the size of the slideshow is 9.3 Gigs and therefore will not fit on a dvd. Sorry i do not have duel layer capabilities. So how can this be? Same show but for some reason it is smaller size done on iPhoto? Does iPhot use a lesser quality when rendering?
Should I set to a lower quality in iDvd? any suggestions to bring the size down would help.

iDVD rendered the start page with the theme and I let the computer run all night for at least 8 hours. When I looked to see what was happenning the little rainbow ball was spinning around stuck at the end of rendering the theme. the computer was frozen and I had to force quit.
My slideshow is only 34 mins long.

I am home sharing songs from my computer (library) to another authorized computer (library), the songs will import, but once i sync the iphone (4s) to this computer the songs are shaded and will not import onto the iphone, what the heck is going on?

I am transfering songs from one computer to another using home share. Both machines are authorized in home sharing. The songs import from (my) windows computer to the other (my wifes) authorized MacBook Pro, computer just fine. Once the songs are in the library and i try to sync her Iphone (4s) to her computer the songs ar greyed out and i can't play them nor see them under iPhone after sync is complete. What the heck is going on? BTW, the songs that i have imported are either songs i burned from a CD or songs i have purchased from the iTunes store, so they should sync no problem!? Help please.

I have been burdened with activation issues for weeks - see my previous thread. I have had no response here from Adobe about how to fix it. Please don't say this is a 'user to user' forum. It isn't a 'U2U' forum when Adobe state this is the first place we should look!
Now, no CC program will run owing to something called 'Activation problem 194:100'.
Yes, I have logged out. Yes, I have rebooted. Yes, I have deactivated 'more than 2 machines'. Why should I have to repeatedly click to 'deactivate 2 previous activations' when there has NEVER been more than one activation?
Adobe not only make me look a laughing stock in the classroom but this constant issue that has been going on for weeks now subliminally tells students Adobe software is useless!
When will I be able to use CC again? I am paying for it remember!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to Adobe Forum.
CC has only EVER been activated on ONE PC.
If you look at http://forums.adobe.com/message/6198690#6198690 you'll see (like many other users) I have to constantly sign in and reactivate. It is probably this that is causing the multiple activations.
However, to reiterate, CC is only running on ONE computer. It has not at any time been activated on more than the same PC. One activation - one PC.
So, the suggestion of waiting a few hours (if the prog won't activate / run) is less than adequate. Like everyone else, I pay to have it running 24 hours a day - every day.

I keep trying to poke them into action. I did send a email to the regulator who seemed to indicate the license or regulations we good to go . Maybe thier so hard pressed in building sites as you said although it seemed wrapped up a year ago. My friend ATT service is excellent here and the exact location has att tower there so I know this would work its just a matter of prodding Verizon into action . my hope is they will notice and do something about this .

My PowerMac G4 smells like burning plastic -- what the heck is going on!?

I have experienced the burning smell before, but almost a year ago. Yes, my machine is eight years old, but I still love her and have been doing whatever I can to keep her alive. The only major surgery I've done, is switched from the Samsung power supply it came with, to a lower powered Apple one. It had been running fine (and quieter since the power supply switch) until today. I powered the computer ON, left it for maybe 20 minutes, and when I came back, the first floor of my house wreaked of burning plastic/electronics. I shut the computer down and left it off for about four hours. Powered it up again recently, worked fine, BUT still emitted that burning stench (though can't tell if it was just blowing around the smell from before or heating up again...).
Does anyone know what the heck is going on with my beloved PowerMac G4 (mirrored drives)? I already purchased a used PowerMac G5 as a backup -- just in case I have to pull the HD from my G4 and move on -- BUT any help to fix my G$ would be most appreciated. Thanks. Nv

The first thing to do is to trace the smell if you can. The most likely source of heat is the power supply. If a capacitor leaked somewhere the computer might not work but my money is on melting wire insulation. The wire would still let power get to components but smell of hot insulation, thus it works but smells.
If you are careful, you can remove the power supply from the computer and open it up to take a look inside. If you have a spare CD-ROM drive, you can plug it into the power supply just by itself. Take a paper clip and short out between the green wire and a black wire on the motherboard molex connector (the rectangular one with the most wires going to it.
What you will have on your work bench is the cord from the wall outlet to the power supply, the power supply itself with the cover off, the paper clip jumper and the CD drive. If the paperclip is in place, the fan on the power supply will turn on. The tray for the CD drive should open and close. That will tell you if the power supply is working. If it also starts smelling, then you have isolated the problem.
If the smell comes from any place else, look for signs of melted plastic. One would hope that a fuse would blow before wires short out because the heat is a sign of high current draw.
Try that much and post back.

CS6 has been converted from the upgrade I bought to a trial version. What the heck is going on.

I upgraded from CS5 to CS6 for my IMac. I downloaded CS6 and out in my serial number and it worked fine for a number of weeks. Suddenly when I went to use it it said it was a trial version. I had to register it to use my CS6   I registered it and it worked, but only as a Trial Version of CS6 Extended. I do not want CS6 Extended. I deleted the trial version of CS6 Extended from my hard drive and once again downloaded my upgrade of CS6 and put in my serial number and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Today, once again, it tells me it is a trial version and will not load unless I register the trial version. What the heck is going on? This is crazy. I simply want to use CS6, for which I paid. Help!

Its a bug that came with the latest update. The developers know about it and will fix it as soon as they get back from christmas vacation. Lots of us (inluding some of the developers) are suffering the same problem.

None of any of the pictures on Facebook can be opened and seen on the website, I have absolutely no problem on Safari, but I would much rather use Firefox..What the heck is going on????

I agree the phones are supposed to come with the battery and battery door missing that is policy of every wireless company. The problem is that the rep that you spoke with wasn't being as thorough as they could have been to ensure that you got complete equipment, is was a processing error from the first representative. Most of the information for exchanging a phone is auto completed by the computers as well so when the rep processes the exchange they don't have any say so as to what is actually in the shipping box so being that you didn't activate the droid 3 on your account when you called in about the missing battery and complained the computer only recognized the droid x because that probably what you had activated on your account, so that's why the second replacement was droid x equipment and not droid 3

The problem exists in the statement in bold. The inline view of the merge
returns 11808 rows and should only perform 11808 lookups on the index
on TBL_INSTRUMENT to determine whether or not to insert a row. It is
doing 1393981363 !!Do you have accurate statistics on these tables? Have you got histograms on skewed columns?
Also, given that you are only acting on WHEN NOT MATCHED are you sure MERGE is the way to go? A straightforward insert driving off a NOT EXISTS sub-query or an anti-join might be a much better approach.
