What types/brands of Pro soundcards are supported?

I'm interested in getting a Mac Pro for my recording studio. I'm trying to find out what types/brands of soundcards are supported. I currently use M-Audio, but looking on their site I see that they don't have any drivers that go above 10.5.8. It appears that I may need a new sound card if I get a Mac Pro. I need to know what my choices are BEFORE I do anything more. I currently use Logic Pro on my old G4 with Tiger & that's just not cutting it. However, I have a great soundcard so it still works OK for now.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Dear bamim2: I hate to break the bad news to you (well, sorta bad, I guess)
but...with the Mac Pro, it's PCI-E cards only. PCI cards will not work at all, sadly, so your options are very limited indeed. I hope someone else will reply as well and prove me wrong

I have several MBPs and to be honest, I can't remember what hardware supports these Lion features.
    Help would be appreciated.

Additional info: there are a small subset of 4,1 MBPs that have the multitouch trackpad.  I have one, purchased in late March 2008, just after Apple announced the feature was added to the MBP.  I can scroll left/right in MC.

    Hi Sreedhar,
What you've mentioned is exactly the task of CRM Middleware, which sits on the CRM server and governs the data flow.
By any chance are you trying to find out about DOE(Data Orchestration Engine) used by SAP NetWeaver Mobile ?
maybe this link would help then:

  • What versions of Linux and WIndows are supported?

I have looked on the web site, and cannot find what versions of Linux and Windows are supported? Most of the documentation just says Linux and/or Windows, with no referenence to version.
My specific questions are for Oracle Personal server:
    Is it supported on
    Windows XP Professional
    Windows XP Home Edition
    Red Hat Linux 7.3
    Red Hat Linux 7.2
    Red Hat Linux 8.0
    Red Hat Linux 9.0
    RHEL 3.0
If yes to all or some, what is the best OS/Version to install the Oracle Personal Server on? Considering performance? Ease of install and use?
    Thanks,
    Tomas

    Joel:
Thanks. But, when I tried to create an acct in metalink section, it said I needed a "support identifier". When I researched this, it seems I can only get a "support indentifier" if I have a valid support contract.
Now, that seems a bit of "the cart before the horse", as I am thinking of buying the Oracle Personal Server, but have not.
And want to know supported platforms before I do buy. But, now it seems I have to buy, to get my pre-sales question answered.
Is there another place I can find this info, possibly a pre-sales area of the oracle web?

  • What version(s) of Microsoft Office are supported by GW2012

We have a customer currently on GW2012 who is using the old Novell OpenOffice release (3.2.1-22 IIRC) to integrate with GroupWise Document Libraries. To cut a long story short it is not a rewarding experience for the customer and they want to switch to using Microsoft Office.
So my question is simple - Which version(s) of Microsoft Office are supported by Novell to work with DMS integration for GroupWise 2012?
I know they need to be 32bit for ODMA support to even exist but are we talking Office 2007/2010/2013, any of them or none? If nothing is supported any longer then why is DMS even included in GW2012? Moving them to Vibe would be a big ask.
If this customer buys Microsoft Office and has issues using it with their GW system then we need to be able to raise an SR with Novell and not get a "that's not supported" answer.
    TIA,
    Mark.

We have been using Office 2010 x32 for about a year with GW 2012 SP2 -
    so far so good.
As a note, we do get Error 8E14 from time to time when creating a new
document using "Save As" with an older library document as the source.
We are able to recover the new file with a few steps and no data is
    lost. Just annoying.
Not sure about Vibe .... no custom fields, etc

  • What features of Workshop 8.1 are supported Weblogic Express 8.1?

I wish to find a URL or any information that explicitly states which
features of Workshop 8.1 are supported in Weblogic Express 8.1. I
understand that Express does not support EJBs and that some of Workshop's
Controls are implemented using EJBs. I would assume that those Controls
would not be supported in Express. Can any of the Controls be used when the
targeted machine is configured with Express?

In 8.1 all workshop controls rely on the EJB container, and thus none of
them work on Express. Using the pageflow portability kit, pageflows without
controls can be used on WLX -- they are just struts extensions. We'll be
relaxing the reliance of controls on the EJB container in the next major
    release.

  • What type of HDD does MS-6382 support?

ata 133 is just a marketing gimick.............only data moves that fast is 2mb in the drives cache
the drive will run at about half that speed once the cache is cleared
    dont worry about it
    Er, I got another question
I'm now looking at this hitachi model:
    http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?id=210&pc=dealtime#
which has good reviews (probably for others in the range). I originally saw it on ebay but it turns out to be cheaper buying it from the above supplier.
The question I have is does the MS 6382 support serial ATA? I'm reasonably sure that the above drive is parallel ATA (ie compatable with the MS 6382) because of the manufacturer's info here:
    http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/d7k250/d7k250.htm
but I thought I'ld ask before I order it or in case I change my mind (again).
    Thankyou for your help

  • HT5093 what features of the collada format are supported in ibooks author? has anyone worked through this?

I have been experimenting with inserting a collada file into an ibooks author file, via the 3D widget.  I use SketchUp and Modo to create the textured object, but I am having trouble getting anything other than a 'tumbling' view of the object in ibooks.  I want to set a camera in the scene, and be able to see that POV (point of view) from within ibooks.  I would also like to animate the camera, so I can create a controlled, first-person walk-through of the scene.  So far, I haven't had any luck.  If anyone else has sorted through some of this, please chime in here.
    Thanks!

    Hi pggirvin,
We are awaiting upload for a book with lots of 3D Widgets, and had to do a lot of it via trial and error ( using 3DS Max to export to Collada ).
We did get an animating camera working, but as soon as you touch the widget the animation stops and you go into look around mode - where the pivot to rotate around is normally not where you want it to be.
A good option would be for animated cameras to a) play once, then pivot and end, or b) continuously loop
Just to clarify, 3D Widgets in iBooks Author do support an animating camera ( we had issues with multiple cameras, as only one gets choses, so maybe make sure you only have one camera in the whole scene when exporting ).

  • What type of paramter passing does java support

Is it pass by value for primitive/simple data types
and pass by reference for derived/abstract data types ?

Java always uses pass by value.
There is no pass by reference in Java.
Sometimes references are passed by value, but that's not the same as pass by reference.

  • What types of movie files are accepted on the ipad2?

I am trying to trsnsfer movies to my itunes in order to transfer them onto my ipad2.
But when I look for the movies on my itunes I don't see any listed.
What types of movie file formats are accepted to transfer to the ipad2?

The Videos app supports these formats (from http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/) :
Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second, High Profile level 4.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
If you can't get them into your computer's iTunes then there are programs such as Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr) which might be able to convert them. If you can get them into your computer's iTunes but they then won't sync to the iPad, then you could try doing Advanced > Create iPad Version and see if that version syncs over.

Apple always uses the crappiest components in their computers.  This assures that they constantly fail and fall apart within days.
What sort of goofy question is this?  Go to an Apple store, find a demo, open System Profiler to find out.
