What type of paramter passing does java support

Is it pass by value for primitive/simple data types
and pass by reference for derived/abstract data types ?

Java always uses pass by value.
There is no pass by reference in Java.
Sometimes references are passed by value, but that's not the same as pass by reference.

  • Does Java Support Signing

    Hello All:
    I want to develop a application which would sign the file that need to be passed through unsecure channel.
    Does Java support the same.

    Dear Sir:
    Thanks for the mail.Well last time I did send you a source code of the Encryption/Decryption of a text file.I want to store the file type of the file in a appropriate way instead of using Encrypting the extension.
    And after the encryption ,I want to modify the application to have the content of the complete file to signed.I would request you to advice me whether the complete file content is signed or just the generated key for encryption.
    Let me hear from you.
    regards

  • Does Java support Arabic?

    Hi,
    I am in the process of establishing a financial web application. The application needs to be bilingual, i.e English and Arabic. My Question is: Does Java support Arabic? and which DB can i use with it to facilitate my need?
    Thanks,
    Maha

    I18N web application is an application that can deliver the content according to the locale of the browser.We can build these applications easily by using the tags available as part of JSTL's.
    Check whether Arabic language is supported by java or not.
    request.getLocale() returns java.util.locale object.
    This object contains the details of language code & country code.

  • What types of NFC tags does the Lumia 920 support?

    I bought some Mifare Classic 1k tags online hoping I could write and read some custom tags with the few apps on the marketplace but it doesn't seem the Nokia interacts with them well.
    I found this on wikipedia.
    "At the moment BlackBerry phones and the Nokia Lumia 610 can't read/write Tectile stickers ". (which are apparently based on Mifare Classic.)
    I have found no other mention of what types of tags are supported, so that is my question. What types of tags are guaranteed to work with the 920?

    I've run some NFC tests with the 920 because I run an NFC marketing platform.
    I wrote a review about the Lumia 920 NFC implementation http://www.tagonic.com/latest/easyblog/entry/nokia-lumia-920
    Although this doesn't cover specific NFC tags I can confirm that it works well with MiFare UL tags. The use case of receiving a contact directly, and directing to web destinations works well.
    Interestingly we haven't managed to successfully initiate a pairing with other NFC accessories (BH505 headphones or the 360 Speaker) at all. We'd be interested to know if anyone else has this issue.
    But from a tag perspective we are confident that the Lumia 920 works with the MiFare UL tags.
    Feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you are looking for some tags that you want to program to go to a web destination. We'd supply them pre-programmed and you can virtually re-program them using the platform as opposed to having to physically re-write the tags.

  • What types/brands of Pro soundcards are supported?

    I'm interested in getting a Mac Pro for my recording studio. I'm trying to find out what types/brands of soundcards are supported. I currently use M-Audio, but looking on their site I see that they don't have any drivers that go above 10.5.8. It appears that I may need a new sound card if I get a Mac Pro. I need to know what my choices are BEFORE I do anything more. I currently use Logic Pro on my old G4 with Tiger & that's just not cutting it. However, I have a great soundcard so it still works OK for now.
    Thanks to anyone who can help.

    Dear bamim2: I hate to break the bad news to you (well, sorta bad, I guess)
    but...with the Mac Pro, it's PCI-E cards only. PCI cards will not work at all, sadly, so your options are very limited indeed. I hope someone else will reply as well and prove me wrong

  • What kind of XML concepts does XSU support?

    From the XSU release notes I have learned that XML attributes are ignored and an XML document has to be transformed via XSLT.
    What about other tags like choice nodes, sequences?
    Does XSU also support inheritance and is it capable of recognizing multiple occuring elements? Or can all this achieved only via an XSLT transformation of the original document?
    Thanks for your help,

    Thanks for your help,
    Bernhard I think you mean using XSU for data loading. Then, what XSU support is a format like:
    <ROWSET>
    <ROW>
    <COLUMN_NAME>....</COLUMN_NAME>
    </ROW>
    </ROWSET>
    Currently the XML SQL Utility (XSU) can only store data in a single table. Otherwise, you need help from XSLT or INSTEADOF Trigger.
