What values are allowed in API's..?

hello.
I've created a UNIX wrapper that includes PLSQL scripts that creates a temp table, loads Employee data in from HR System and using 2 API's, loads the information into relevant ORACLE tables.
As part of my testing, I'm finding there's a multitude of different values in several fields from our HR system that are not being allowed by the API's/ORACLE tables.. So, my question is, could someone please point in the direction of where I can get documentation that will tell me what values are and are NOT allowed in the Hr_Employee_Api.create_gb_employee and Hr_Person_Address_Api.create_person_address API's and in the tables PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F and PER_ADDRESSES.

actually thats what I'm trying to find.. I need to now the following 'allowed' lookup values for..
- P_SEX - Valid values are defined by the SEX lookup type.
               - P_MARITAL_STATUS - Valid values are defined by the MAR_STATUS lookup type.
               - P_NATIONALITY - . Valid values are defined by the NATIONALITY lookup type.
               - P_TITLE - . Valid values are defined by the TITLE lookup type.
               - P_STUDENT_STATUS - If this employee is a student, this field is used to capture their status. Valid values are defined by the STUDENT_STATUS lookup type.
..eg, whats allowed for marital_status - 'M'arried, 'S'ingle,'W'idowed, 'LivingInSin'....?

But, around 3/14, all by the top three stopped working. I don't see any information about this in release notes. Can someone clarify if this is a temporary problem or permanent spec change.

I am not aware about SAP BW, can you try the following :
--If the report saved in SAP BW then delete the report and save a report which is reflecting your changes.
--Also try to create a new parameter with Country1 and add three countries and try to save the report. If that is working then remove the Country paramenter (old) from the report.

Is it possible to define what clients are allowed to connect?

Hello,
under certain circumstances i would like to have the possibility to define what clients are allowed to connect to the database. I was trying to find something like an "access list" for the listener configuration in which one can define what computers will be allowed by the listener to connect to the db, but unfortunately i didn't succeed.
Do you know if something like this exists? (its about an old 9.2 db...)

What values are stored in the alignment region of an image and how can they be set?

I am calling a number of C++ functions with different variable sized LabView images at rates in excess of 20 images per second. I need to tell the C++ code developer what values to expect in the alignment region of the image. Right now I am creating an image with a zero border that is 32 byte aligned, so there is no alignment region and everything works fine.
I would like to move to using normal LabView images, as it saves sereval steps and allows me to use a combination of LabView and C++ operations. I do not want to re-write all the C++ functions to be aware of the LabView alignment and border areas. I just want the alignment area and border area to be zero and process them like they were part of the image.
I can set the border region to zero using Fill Image but I am not clear as to what the values will be in the alignment region, or if I can set them. Does Fill Image also fill the alignment region? Since the C++ code is being developed on a system without LabView, and I do not have the means to debug it on my LabView system, it is tricky to know what is in this region.
In the ideal world, I would like it to be zero or to be able to set it to zero.

Hi Andrew,
The function IMAQ Fill Image allows you to set the border and all or part of your image to a certain pixel value that you define. One of the inputs to Fill Image is "Image Mask" which you can use to specify which pixels in your original image will be modified. This help document describes the Fill Image VI in detail and can provide some good information for you.
Essentially, the locations of any non-zero pixels in your Image Mask are where the new pixel value will be set in your original Image. Does that make sense? So if you know where your alignment region is then you can use an image mask with Fill Image to set the alignment region and the border to zero. If you don't use an Image Mask, the Fill Image VI will assign the new pixel value to the entire original image.

What values are possible for a specific object/field

Hi everyone,
I am trying to do the following
Pull a list out of the system that would provide me with value's description for a specific authoirsation object / field
I have tried SE16 > AGR_1251 > one of my roles
I am getting the role, object, field, low and high values
for example
myrole - M_FORECAST - ACTVT - 03
What I have missing is the English description of what "03" is. for example "Display"
A 03 for a field may not always have the same meaning for different objects
Alternativly can I pull a list somewhere of the potential values and their description for a specific Authorization Object / Field combination?

TACT : Contains the Text Descriptions of all Activities (for e.g. 01= Create/ Generate, 02= change etc.)
TACTZ : Contains the Authorization Object specific Activities.
TOBJ : Description of Authorization Objects
TOBJT: Text Description of Authorization Objects
AUTHX: Details of Fields
TPARA: Parameter Ids of Fields

I have a problem with JDialog in which JTextField & JComboBox are there,Problem is After closing JDialog by a button "CLOSE" on it ,or by "X" on top-rightside corner, it stores values which r there in these components ,when i reopen this JDialog without Closing my Application.
I m using dispose() method for that on CLOSE Button's Action Performed Event but i don't get what i want exactly.......Is there any other method for that CLOSE Button which not preserve those values.... ????

How can I modify what programs are allowed to make changes to my computer?

OK - I'm a bonehead, I was getting the message "Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer" every time I opened Firefox and fixed that problem by unselecting "run as administrator" BUT, in the meantime, somehow got into a screen that allowed me to select no security at all when opening a program. How can I get back to that utility so I can reset it to the default value?

Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
* Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
* "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).

What characters are allowed in an Apple ID Password?

My mom has "changed" her password because she said she was asked to when logging into Facetime. Now she can't log in. When I asked her what it was, she read to me and it had both a space and a period. I don't believe those are accepted. I tried to log in from my computer 95 miles away...but no luck. And you really need to be at the computer of the log in to help. However, she is 74 so this is not an easy task. i try to create a view, where i can delete rows. Here my view

If i try to delete a row i get:
SQL Error: ORA-01732: Datenmanipulationsoperation auf dieser View nicht zulässig
(translation: data manipulation for this view not allowed)
Breaks the rownum the view? I tested it with rank() over and this breaks it too...

What values of HTML script's type attribute are supported?

Specifications say about type attribute:
"This attribute specifies the scripting language of the element’s contents and overrides the default scripting language".
JavaScript (aka ECMAScript) is supported and most widely used; in fact I run both inline and .js scripts.
Where can I find, without looking at Firefox source programs, what values are supported?
Just think of a script written in C language, or in Linux shell, or whatever else.
If i write <script type="abcd"> then this weird value is simply ignored.

In addition to specifying ''text/javacript'', ''text/ecmascript'', ''application/javascript'' and ''application/ecmascript'', you can also specify a specific version of the javascript spec, ie ''application/javascript;version=1.8''.
There is no direct support for languages other than java/ecmascript, however it is possible to write javascript-based compilers for other languages like ''C''. This article has an example:

It's probably worth stating that this work is highly experimental. If you're looking to write a web app that people will actually use, it's far, far better to use javascript in the browser and execute any other programming on the server side.

How do I filter two columns of names to see What names are the same?

I have two lists of names (one with 2,000+ names and one with 300+ names) I want make a column that shows the names that are not in both columns and the names that are. Is there an automated way of doing this?
Basically, I have 2,000 friends on facebook and only 300 of them like my business page. I want to know which friends to market too and which friends to stop annoying Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What values do I enter in the program change field for EXS24 ?

I am using YaMAHA WX5 WIND CONTROLLER to play instrument sin Logic. I can get 'next settings' and 'previuos settings' to work with cc values. However, because of the setup of the WX, it wouls work better for me if I coud use its program change buttons.
What value should go in the program change box ?

navigate edit>preferences>select previous instrument or next instrument
afer that what value will allow EXS24 to change instruments using my WX5.
I have used MIDI monitor to find what value the WX sends and the only think that shows up is 'program'
I have tried learn assignment in Logic. When I press the program change button, Logic reads it as program change but provides no value.

What good are databases if you cannot use them

Hello;
My company has the same model for access to database no matter if its Production, Test or Dev.
I believe the one size fits all model is incorrect and would like some feedback Pro and Con why access should be the same or different.

The point being that there are many restrictions that should be different between different environments in order to maintain the degree of control over those environments that is needed by the business.
The data in the PROD environment is usually more sensitive and can have legal requirements as to who is allowed access to that data and what they are allowed to do with the data. Those requirements can be vastly different than what are needed for a DEV environment.
So provide some specifics about what restrictions your employer has that you think cause a problem. Or provide an example of what you need to do in a particular environment and how you can get it done given the restrictions that are in place.
The only argument that I have ever found effective with management is to document the COST associated with a policy or rule that they have in place. The cost can be in resources, time. An example of this might be the overhead (resources, time) involved with having to log a service request, get a DBA or Weblogic person involved just to make a simple table change in DEV or see what errors might have been generated in a Weblogic log file.
If they realize that the turnaround for that is several days to do something you could have done in a few minutes if you had the proper access then sometimes (not often I agree) you can get some things changed.
But you have to make a convincing argument that the change is needed and that it won't compromise any of their other concerns.
Which gets us back to what Mark was trying to find out. What are the concerns that caused management to implement their current policy, whatever that policy is?But to counter that ... how often have we seen code go to production and fail, because it relied on the less restrictive environment in dev? With proper QA and code promotion management in place, this shouldn't happen, but I've too often seen that to not be the case. Certainly we've seen that situation with commercial software that "requires" the application to run with DBA authority - simply because the developers were too lazy to figure out what was really required.
