if that dose not work then you can always put it into DFU mode by connecting to your computer and holding down the home button and sleep/wake button for excatly 10 seconds and then relesing the sleep/wake button and keep holding down the homebutton till iTunes tells you it has detected an iPad in recovery mode then just do a restore

It is not switching on again, i have tried restarting by using sleep/wake button, but red slider does not appear. I kept it off like it was overnight, in the morning agin recharged it, but still it is not switching on. it is not responding, except when i connect the charger, it gives a blink noise that recharge has started. I removed the SIM and tried restart it but no response, What should i do to restart it please?

Seems to be working again, I haven't done anything though. And the "wifi" led on my laptop is off, which should mean that the interface is down.
This is driving me crazy I don't understand how the all thing works, if anyone has any tips that would be very nice.

- Let the battery fully drain. The charge for an hour and see what happens, Try resetting too:

Does the screen come back on if you press the sleep/power button?
Have you tried powering down (hold sleep/power button and swipe red slider) then power back up? Power cycling sometimes will clear problems.
If neither works, and you can get to an Apple store, have the genius bar folks try it out...they are very good about replacement if faulty.

IPod Touch 32GB stuck on white apple logo after Brain Tuner update

Hi. I did a Brain Tuner application update which kept on reinstalling by itself. I was forced to reset by holding the power button for 6 seconds. On restart, the iPod touch is now stuck on the white apple logo.
Any suggestions on how to get out of this? I would pull the battery if I could but we all know that is impossible. My only other recourse would be to return the iPod under warranty; I hesitate to do this because I have important info in the contacts and notepad.

I found out if you keep holding the power and home button until the iTunes icon and the USB cable icon appear, the iPod will show up in iTunes and will allow you to restore the iPod through iTunes. You have to make sure you backup often though; I only lost 2 days of modifications.

I have updated from Snow Leopard to Lion with Safari Version 5.0.5. Now I can not update to Safari 5.1. There is no update in the Software Updater, and on the apple-download page, I only found a Safari 5.1 for Snow Leopard. When executing it, there is an error message, that it is for 10.6 only.
It seems that I should have first updated Safari, and then only to Lion, which I didn't. Any idea how I can fix this now without having to rollback to Snow Leopard, update Safari and then go back to Lion?

After 8.3 update, iPhone 6 stuck on white apple logo screen

Hi all,
I updated to 8.3 a few hours ago and my phone was working fine. My WIFI was being slow and nothing was loading on my phone so I powered it off and tried turning it on. Now it is stuck on the white apple logo screen. I tried resetting the phone (power + home) but it still isn't working. I tried plugging it into my macbook but iTunes is not picking my phone up.
Do I need to bring this into the Apple store? Any other inputs?

How long did you let it charge? It may take 30 minutes before the iPad responds when the battery is completely drained. Let it charge for at least 30 minute using the wall charger. Then rest the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
If the iPad restarts let it continue to charge until the battery is 100%.
If the iPad still does not start make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

While this could potentially be a hardwar issue:
Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
If the reset doesn't work, you may need to consider restoring the iPad to factory settings

As a test, shut down your computer and disconnect ALL USB devices. Do this procedure to Reset the shuffle

If the shuffle is now recognized, there may have been a USB device conflict previously, or maybe all of the devices connected at the same time overloads the USB bus (for power). An iPod charges its battery while connected, so it is a high-power USB device.

IPhone 5 wiggly sleep/wake button

My iPhone 5 arrived yesterday. Charged it for a couple of hours. After that I tried to
power down by pressing the sleep /wake button. Nothing happened. Hmmm..... I thought it was me. So I pressed the sleep button on the iPhone 4. Works ok. Again I pressed the sleep button on the iPhone 5. Absolutely nothing happened! I was ******. Called the Apple store. Told them what happened. They would not exchange it. So I went to the AT&T store where I pre-ordered the iPhone 5. Spoke with the manager. He said I was not the only one with the sleep/wake button problem. According to him there's a lot of upset customers with the same issue. He said in the mean time I'll just have to use broken iPhone 5 til they get shipments in. In a few weeks. He will notify me when they arrive at the store....... We'll see. Very upset.
