What wireless headphones are best for use with ipad2?thanks

I  am a computer newbie?!!! I had not owned a computer device of any any sort.( I know in this day and age) and I received an iPad 2 as a gift. I think my friends were tired of me asking to use their computer to receive e mail ,etc. Any way, questions galore!!! I do not even have an Internet connection in my house!! I have Dish TV and a cellular phone. NO land line . Which company is best ? Verizon ( I don't get FIOS)Optimum or?  I am overwhelmed with claims of faster speeds etc. I know I have to buy a wireless ROUTER. Which is best.  ALSO which WIRELESS HEADPHONES  for when I go to the gym? Thanks for your help!!!!

Wireless headsets, in my opinion, never work as well as I would like. Motorola makes some designed for athletic use. I'd check reviews on Amazon. You're really going to take an iPad to the gym?!?

  • What screen sizes are best to use?

What screen sizes are best to use. Looking at the responsive design in Captivate 8, the screen sizes do not make a lot of sense. I am not sure if I am misunderstanding them or not. The tablet size is 768 x 627, yet an iPad 4 is 1024 x 768. The Samsung is equally different. The same goes for the phone size. Am I missing something? I would like to use my phone in landscape mode.
    Thanks

You can edit the break points in Responsive Design. It is not the real resolution of the devices that is important, but the browser resolution. Moreover you have to take into account extra space like for the playbar (45 pixels).
To check the resolutions, this site can be useful: http://viewportsizes.com/
You'll see that for most smartphones the browser resolution is much smaller then the real resolution of the device. I have a HTC One, 1920x1080 but the browser resolution in Portrait has only a width of 360. in Landscape 640.
There are so many devices around, you'll have to choose the ones you are aiming at. It is a real jungle, sorry. Not to speak of the different browsers with each a different support of HTML5.

  • What harddrives are approved for use with ix4-200d?

    Hi,
I found an article on the Lenovo site for the process of swapping out all 4 hard drives in an ix4-200d, but what I can't find is an article showing the list of approved/recommended hard drives for use with the ix4-200d.  Can anyone point me to such an article?
My ix4-200d has a 4x500GB configuration (Seagate ST3500412AS drives).  I'd like to swap them for either 2TB or 3TB drives, so I can have one place to store all my raw video, which right now is spread out over three different devices.  Also, if you have any advice or gotchas to look out for when I swap out the drives, I'd love to hear you on that matter.
    Thanks,
    William

    Hello vitorpereira
In regards to the ix4-200d and ix4-200d CE, Iomega/LenovoEMC never created an approved list of drives.  When a disk failure occured the disk should be replacing with a matching drive if at all possible.
When it is not possible to use a matching disk model, a similar disk should be used.  This would be a disk with the same manufacturer, capacity and rotation speed.
For the ix4-200d specifically, the units shipped with either a 500GB, 1TB, or 2TB Seagate Barracuda LP (5900rpm) Hepburn disks.  ST3500412AS, ST31000520AS, ST32000542AS
That is what the ix4-200d units were qualified to use.  Outside of those three specific drive models you will be dealing with hypothetically compatible disk options.
The recommendations that Wesley made previously are correct.  You should go though the ix4-300d list find a model that is similar to the stock drive or at least within the capacity limits of the device model.  (ix4--200d is 2TB disks, ix4-200dce is 3TB disks)
If a different disk models are used in either version of the ix4-200d, it is highly recommended that all disks be eventually replaced with the new model of disk for RAID stability.  to do this, the Capacity Upgrade Guide should be followed.

    Thoughts?
CrashPlanPROe, the enterprise version, is $60 per year per client, not $50 per month, so it may be worth looking into. It's what we run and it's been working very well for us, though you need a central server to run the software. That server can be Windows, Mac OS X, Linux or Solaris, any of which will work with any of the supported clients:

We tried Retrospect and had to return it for the limitation I mentioned above.

  • BODS / SAP : what set-ups are required for communicating with each other ?

    Hi.
There is a new SAP system
And there is a new BODS installation.
Both on independent server machines but on the same lan network.
On the test system of BODS. We tried to see how the communication happens with SAP.
While we try some test jobs by trying to pull a simple table on SAP R/3
In Dataflow, we used simple SAPR/3 ABAP flow. And put it into target database thro query transformation.
    In the datastore,
We used the Generate and Execute option,
with a path on the local directory of BODS server for creating the ABAP program and the dat file.
    However,
We are always getting error on batch job schedule.
Although the user is having rights on the R/3 table
And can login into SAP R/3 system and check the table.
Still we get an error saying Databstore unabel to connect to R/3 system. Check for user login etc.
For anyone whose login we use. We get the error.
However, if i directly generate the code on the ABAP flow (without running the job),
make the program available on R/3 system.
and then run the job as execute preloaded
this works fine without any error.
and we are able to see the data in the target table.
Now both the systems are new.
And am not aware of the initial set-ups which are required for communication between SAP / BODS.
Are WE missing something on the SAP side setups - for generate and execute option to be used?
Is there anything specific to be done for ease of the communication between SAP server and BODS server in this regard.
Can anyone share some inputs on this.
Actually for any user with full admin rights too, on the sap side, if we use the user login for R/3 connectivity for this particular "generate and execute" option,  it errors out after nearly 10 minutes. Then the error says, login info not correct.
So basically, the communication channel by itself between SAP R/3 and BODS seems to be locked somewhere.
If anyone with SAP admin expertise - can help or advise on this.
    Many thanks
    Indu

Getting data out of R/3 requires two distinct setup tasks, and they don't have much to do with each other.
The first basic task is to get the little ABAP extraction programs loaded and run in R/3.  You can pre-load them and then call them, or generate, upload, and execute them all on-the-fly, at BODS runtime.  During development, use "Generate and Execute" for your ABAP.
Once that's done, you have four different choices to get the data back: "Direct download", "Shared directory", FTP, and "Customer Transfer". Normally, you'll use either FTP or "Shared directory".  Refer to the documentation (the BODS SAP Supplement) for a description of all this.
In all cases (or at least, quite certainly, using the FTP and Shared Directory methods), the ABAP extraction programs are directed to plop their output as flat files in the "Working directory on SAP server."  For testing, you can look in that folder to see if any flat files are appearing when you submit an ABAP data flow.  If not, then either 1) your ABAP program isn't getting in there (a Basis admin should be able to tell you), or 2) it's not running (ditto), or 3) it's running but unable to generate the output file (ditto), because a) SAP isn't permitted to write to that folder, or b) the folder doesn't exist (it needs to be defined from the perspective of the SAP server).
If you do see files appear in the "Working directory on SAP server" when you run a BODS job w/ an ABAP dataflow, then the problem is that BODS can't fetch them.  If you're using the "Shared directory" method, which is suitable for and often used in all-Windows environments, then the account under which the Job Server in question is running must have access to the "Working directory on SAP server," but this time from the perspective of the Job Server.  So if, for instance, SAP was directed to put the flat files on a local folder, say, "E:\USR\SAP\BODS", then you might want to share this folder out as, for instance,
sapdev1\bods (for an SAP host called "sapdev1"), and then enter "
sapdev1\bods" in the "Application path to shared directory" field, in your SAP datastore configuration.  If your Job Server service is logging-in as "Local System," though, it won't be able to get there -- it needs to log-in as an AD domain account w/ rights to that share.  Get it?  Try logging in to your BODS job server computer with the AD "service account" setup for use by the Job Server service, and try to open a file on the "Application path to shared directory". If you can't, then BODS won't be able to get data from ECC, either.  FTP works similarly -- if you're using that and having trouble, please re-post.

  • Not all iphoto pictures are available for sync with ipad2

    Hallo,
I am a new apple user. Have iTunes latest version on my MacMini. Want to sync all of my photos from iPhoto to my iPad2. Problem: not all Photos are available for sync.
Why doesn´t iTunes see all of my Photos?
    Thanks for answer.

It is not a problem of iPad2 because I have the same problem with my iPhone.
e.g.: I can see the event in iTunes but with 0 photos. So iTunes find the events but not the content???

  • HOW MANY SSDs ARE OPTIMUM FOR USE WITH CS6, AND WHAT SIZE?

I HAVE A NEW HPE h8-1241, 16GB RAM, 2TB HD, NVIDIA GE FORCE WITH CUDA.  ADOBE RECOMMEND SSDs, BUT IS INEXPLICIT AS TO SIZE AND NUMBER.  WHAT HAVE YOU FOUND TO BE BEST?
    CARL

What I'd do with them, assuming they're modern drives (e.g., with Sandforce or Indilinx controllers inside that do wear-leveling) is to set them up as a RAID 0 array, then install Windows on the array and run everything off the one big drive C:.  That's what I do with my 4 drive array.
I also have spinning drives in my system and after a lot of testing I found that because the SSD array offers near-zero latency as well as gargantuan throughput, it's best to run everything from it - Windows system, swap file, Photoshop application, Photoshop image files, Photoshop scratch.
This seems to go against the advice you find all over to use a separate volume for the Photoshop swap file but SSD simply changes the rules.  Now with a RAID array you will have your maximum throughput and all your free space available at once for anything that needs it, and THAT is precisely what speeds your entire computing experience up.
Plus, if you find the space you've allocated restrictive in the future, you could add drives to your array in the future.  At that point you could either restore a system image onto the larger array and expand the partition, or reinstall everything to take advantage of the additional space.  Or you could stretch yourself a bit and add more drives now, to make your system more future-proof.  Systems always run best if you don't fill up all the space available (i.e., have a lot of free space).  You never know when Photoshop is going to create a 200 GB scratch file (I've seen it happen)!
Some motherboards have the ability to build RAID arrays using on-board SATA connectors, and indeed some people do that.  The Intel ICH series of controllers in motherboard chipsets can deliver impressive performance.  However, because my motherboard only offers SATA2 (3 gigabits/sec) connectors, I chose (after some research) a HighPoint 2720SGL PCIe RAID controller, because it's fast and (more importantly) it's rock solid reliable.  I'm not sorry I chose that part.
Not long ago it was ridiculous to think of building a system around a multiple SSD array, but the prices have fallen so far - even in the past months - that it's practical.
Just now I looked:  You can buy an OCZ Vertex 4  256GB drive for $185.99 at Amazon.com.  That's one of the fastest drives I'm aware of now, and needs the least special care.  You just plug it in and use it.  A 512 GB array would be $372, and a 1TB array would be $744.  Give them a few months more and the prices will probably be well under 50 cents a gigabyte.

  • Which projectors are best to use with Keynote? I have twice had the same problem using the clients' equipment.

Some equipment has worked fine. But on 2 different occasions with 2 different projectors, I have had the same problem with not being able to view the presentor notes and the upcoming slide on the split screen on my computer. When I go to "play" mode then the audience screen and my screen are exactly the same. If I don't click "play" then the audience sees exactly what is on my computer screen (notes and all).
I am thinking of investing in my own equipment and want to be sure that whatever I purchase will eliminate this issue.
I have a Macbook Air with Thunderbolt. I last used a Thunderbolt to VGA cable for the most recent presentation and got through it without being able to see my notes. I need something easy to use that works the way Keynote is designed to work. (I have "Present on Secondary Display" selected under "Preferences")
Any suggestions? I would love to spend less than $500, but want a machine that is hassle-free, so I'm willing to go higher if necessary.
    Thank you.

  • For uml 295 what should the settings be, for use with windows 7?

I have a uml 295 mobile broadband device. About 90% of the time even though  the device says it is connected, when I  try to access the  internet I get a message that says "no internet connection".  I have  a windows 7 operating system.  I wonder if the settings on the device are wrong?  I didn't change any defaults or enter any other information under "settings". Do I need to do something else to make this work?

I don’t get an error message.  The broadband manager says that I’m connected and the timer is running.  But Internet explorer says “you are not connected to a network.”
I wouldn’t describe this as “losing” the connection. After I click on “Connect”, the manager says it is connected but IE says I am not connected to a network, and mail program says it can’t contact servers.
I have 2 dell laptops with very similar factory supplied software (windows 7, McAfee antivirus) and the same thing happens on both computers.  I have a Novatel wireless broadband device that works great on both of these Dell laptop computers.
I tried the UML295 on my Dell desktop and it seems to work fine there.  But that’s not where I want to use it.  Maybe the Dell laptops have some software properties that are incompatible with this device.

  • What is the ideal monitor for use with Premiere Pro CC?

I am looking for a new monitor in the 27-28" range.  I edit mostly HD content, but also some 4K.  My price range is up to $1,200.

For HD you should consider the Dell UltraSharp U2413 it is a 10-bit monitor with 100% coverage of sRGB and has a built-in hardware 14-bit LUT. With just a little bit of work you can get it to a pretty much perfect broadcast output. It is only 24", but it is 1920x1200 so the output is true pixel to pixel, which I find is more important than size. You can get it for under $500.
For 4K you could go with the UP2414Q or if you prefer 27" over 24", the P2715Q. Although the P2715Q is not a "Premier Color" monitor, it still gives you a 10-bit display and 99% sRGB coverage.
