What would be the equivalent of the PHP isset function

I am looking for the equivalent of the php isset function in order to determine if some variables were previously set using the jsp:set tag.
Another thing which I can<t figure out is how to procede to determine if a form has been submitted, and if it has, how to retrieve the button name used to submit.

I have found out that I didn't receive the button information because of a weird behavior of Internet Explorer since that problem didn't occur with Mozilla or Firefox. It would seem that when pressing Enter when you have the focus into a field under Internet Explorer sends over the POST Data without the information of the submit button as opposed to when you simply click the button with the mouse.
I guess I am right saying IE misbehaves in this particular case as I am more enclined to trust Mozilla which doesn't present this problem but if I'm wrong I'd like someone to point out why.

Yes. Other things have synced including books, but I don't know how these happened. According to the 'audible' instructions it should happen automatically, but it doesn't.

No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

CS6 is out, the best roundup I've seen is at InDesign Secrets. It all looks great especially creating forms! BTW if you want to moan about the endnotes ommision I truly sympathise with you but start a new thread!
However just for fun my question is - what is the CS6 equivalent to the universally despised and never used Content Grabber tool, aka as the "Donut"?
My pick is it's the Content Collector and Placer Tools. I haven't used it, but just looking at it my first thought is why the heck can't you just use the standard selection tool? And why two tools? Perhaps it's different in actual practise. I don't know. But it sure looks awkward....

So what? You get a "Sample Library" you get some additions to the Buttons panel? Big whoop. I bet it doesn't work very well for complex forms.

Sounds great, I'm not sure if the alternate layouts are dynamic (make one change in one layout and it happens in the other, or if content can be unlinked between documents, or if they're standalone documents residing in one document?) But it sounds promising.
Liquid Layout
An improvement to "Layout Adjustment" by the looks of it.
Content Collector/Content Placer tools
A fancy Copy and Paste - that a lot of people can't really see the point of this feature
On-object Link Status and Control
They added a node to the frame to let you know if a link isn't working - AMAZING
Primary Text Frame
Finally got the Master Text Frame working properly - and renamed it
Text Frames that Auto-Size
Something that a plugin developer did a while ago - it was good, looks like they've adapted it.

How much info about the cache-cluster does the client have and What would you recommend about putting the cluster behind virtual ip

I will appreciate if someone can point me to some documentation as to how app-fabric client library accesses the app-fabric cluster.
What I have found so far is that the list of hosts provided in the client configuration are used as an entry point into the Cache-Cluster. By connecting to one of hosts, the client will download information about all the hosts constituting the cluster.
Since a named cache is distributed across the entire cluster, and the data can be stored on any node. How does the client decide which node it should connect to, to get the data from. Does the client have enough information to know which host has the data
or the client will connect to one of the nodes, if the node has data, it will serve it otherwise redirect the client to the node that has the data.
I also would like to know what do you say about the idea that we would like to put our cache-cluster behind a virtual ip, so that if needed, we can take down nodes or add more nodes. In fact the virtual ip will that of a load balancer, but we don't plan to
use it for load balancing purposes but the idea is that the client will have the virtual ip address and we can repoint this IP address, if we need to take out a node for maintenance reason.

I'm not sure about the reason for putting the cache servers in a VIP, but one of the reasons why the cache servers should be made known to the servers is because of auto load balancing and throughput
Imagine i have 10 cache servers running on 1G ethernet links, theoretically i have 10G usable bandwidth and the clients will be able to manage and load balance if any of the cache server fails or have performance issues
Now if all these were parked behind a VIP
1. The LB now does the load balancing, which may not be optimal

Does lion server dovecot have the equivalent of the "mail_location = mbox:~/IMAP:INBOX=/var/mail/%u" setting.

I have a lot of legacy users migrating from unix/linux that use the old setting for folders for holding their imap mail. The new way of storing mail doesn't allow containers for folders, and I can't think of an easy way to convert a gigabyte or so of old mail that's on the old Linux server running dovecot.

Update for Mavericks-
I don't know if this is totally accurate, but it worked. After upgrading to Mavericks, the previous setup above disappeared. Something in the Dovecot setup is different now, and these changes brought it back.

do the same edits as outlined above except for the last one- 10-mail.conf
The Namespace sections have changed. Using the above reference, I made these changes. **Uncomment means to remove the # from the first of the line.

In the next two sections (shared namespaces) change the prefix lines to match the separator ^ (you're replacing the periods with the new delimiter.) Mavericks activates these namespaces by default- I don't know what they do. It won't work unless you make them match.

You require Windows 7.
Windows 7 is the same and will run the same as it would on a Windows computer. All programs that run on a windows computer will run on your Windows once installed. You will need anti virus software for your Windows partition. Microsoft Security Essentials is free and it works well.

What would happen if I cleared the "hidemyip.log"?

I was concerned about hard drive space, so I downloaded "disk inventor X" to see what all of my memory was being taken up by. I found out that under "var" and "log" a file name called "hidemyip.log" was taking up 104.8GB of my hard drive space. Would it make any differency at all if I were to clear the log? If not, how would I get rid of that 104.8GB of memory being taken up by that? If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

It's a log file, so you shouldn't have any problem after deleting the file. Note that it won't harm your Mac, because your computer will create the file again if it is needed

I bought more great music that way than any other way possible. But now there are NO recommnedations from the iTunes store for the songs I owe.
