Whay after new firefox download all pages load so much more slowly
I have been prompted twice in the last couple of days to download new firefox updats.
Since then, my web pages load very much more slowly than they ever had before. I have tried the usual system maintenance tools with no improvement in efficiency or speed.
The downloading process states it disables quite a few normal operating systems involving Java and Adobe etc. Why?
It seems you are improving firefox at the cost of the rest of the system. How is that supposed to help any web use?
Everything is probably working fine for most of 400 million Firefox users. Whatever the problem is it will probably only affect a few users, and may well be due to something to do with how you have Firefox set up on your computer.
If you are able to provide more information it helps us in trying to help you. As they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so attaching a couple of screenshots of the problem pages may assist us.
The suggestions in my first post did '''not''' involve installing and uninstalling anything, just simple tests and changes using mouse clicks. In fact I pointed out a reinstall may not solve problems.
(A special clean reinstall, or setting up a new profile does sometimes help, but first of all lets just try to find out first of all what you are seeing on your own computer screen)

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.

If/when something goes wrong with the device you should restore it. If all the content is in your library where it should be then this should be an easy task.

I run Firefox with at least twenty tabs open at the same time. All versions of Firefox newer than version 22 ) load the tabs MUCH more slowly ( approx 2 mins rather than merely 15 secs). HELP!!
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Also check your security software.
You can use the Network tab (the one at the right in the menu) in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer;Ctrl+Shift+K) to check the server response (left-click an entry) see if that is the problem (reload via Ctrl+F5 to bypass the cache).

i do all things about cleaning disk permission or editing .Have you check what is being started at the same time?

I am a system administrator and need a way to set a global preference to not open the Whats New and first run pages. I found the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone preference in the user profile but want to be able to set this globally.
Use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock prefs or specify default values.
Place a file local-settings.js in the defaults\pref folder where you also find the file channel-prefs.js to specify using mozilla.cfg.

Firefox doesn't respond when opening a new tab until the page loads completely
When I open a page in a new tab, Firefox freezes until the new page loads completely. I can't switch tabs or do anything. It then works normally. Older versions of Firefox did not have this problem; it only started after I updated a few months ago. What can be done about this problem?

After installing Firefox 4, Hotmail Page lost all it's formatting
After installing Firefox 4, my Hotmail "home" page lost all it's formatting. The Hotmail/Live logon screen is normal, but after logging on I see all the links and such in one long line down the left of the page. If I click on any of the links, like to go to my Inbox or Calendar, the resulting pages have the same problem. I've cleared cache and such and tried again, but same problem.
Everything works fine in Firefox 3.6 and I.E. 8.When it comes to a security issue, shouldn't firefox work out the kinks before issuing an update rather than forcing other programs to adjust to firefox? This is a pretty arrogant opinion. WE are your customers and deserve better service than this!

ever since i uploaded the new firefox i cant get my texts and pictures back to the size i had them before. ive tried everything i could think of to get this problem fixed. now my texts are running into each other because the texts windows are so small and the texts are so large. i love firefox but ever since i uploaded this new one i cant use it.

A window came up saying I needed the new firefox. When I tried to load it the window said I couldn't but to click for the most updated firefox. A dmg loaded, asked if I wanted to replace the old firefox, which I assumed I did. Now I have no firefox at all and can't get back to the older version that was working.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -
ADF ProcessScope -- I get a new AdfFacesContext on each page load
I am trying to store some variables in the ADF processScope. But the next time the page is loaded and calls the managed bean methods, the AdfFacesContext is different, and so the processScope is empty. The managed bean is session scope, and I am setting the processScope variables in the bean's Java code.
In particular this happens when I click on the af:table pagination links, e.g. the "next 25".
How can I get access to the same AdfFacesContext (and therefore the same processScope) the next time the page loads and calls the managed bean?
I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.

As you can see above, the AdfFacesContextImpl object has changed, so I have lost the ProcessScopeMap.
Also, on the displayed page, the label is still "xyz 1" instead of changing to "xyz 2".

I didn't need a session scope bean, request would be fine, I just was trying to make something work that would allow me access to the process scope attributes. I want to allow multiple browser windows searching on different objects independently, so I don't want to use session scope.
I tried removing the variable declaration and setting/getting the processScope attribute in the setter/getter methods, to make the process scope attributes independent of the managed bean. But each time the page loads (by clicking the table navigation links), I still lose the process scope attributes. I tried with both session and request scope beans. Either way, in the getLoad() method, when I try to get the label from the process scope (using the new version of getLabel()), it is null.
So the root problem is still there.

Firefox downloads html page instead of opening it
I have an Apache web server (2.2.24) on a Red Hat Linux server (RHEL 5.8). On the web site I have a link to an html page that is not in the web directory, but is on the file system. When I click on the link to go to the web page, Firefox will not render the html page within the URL of the web site--it instead wants to download the html page before it displays the html. So, instead of getting http://mywebsite.com/help.html I get file:///C:Users/myuser/AppData/Local/Temp/Help.html. In internet explorer, the web page opens just fine: http://mywebsite.com/help.html--it does not try and download the file
Our httpd.conf file has DefaultType text/plain
The web page in question has a header of:

And yet Firefox still wants to download the page instead of render it directly in the browser :-( -
The new Firefox re-opens all the tabs it closed with; and, I'd rather just start a new session, as the default setting. How can I do this? It would make it easier on me, the machine, and the Internet feed, not to reload automatically a bunch of tabs that were just closed. There must be someway to fix this. This happens on my brother's Windows computer, as well; and, it's running Firefox 4. Thanks for your help.
Make that "Firefox ->Preferences -> General -> When Firefox starts: "Show my windows and tabs from last time" is not selected as this is not the default.
Basically this setting will make Firefox start with whatever windows and tabs that were last open when a user closes Firefox by way of File ->Quit/Exit as if Firefox was never closed. -
Upgraded to Mac OS 10.6 because you told me FireFox would no longer support 10.5, tho I had never had a problem.
OK until you upgraded to FireFox 18 -- then all pages SLANT. Impossible to use, and have had to switch to Safari.
Your forum shows MANY with the same issue, yet no response from Mozilla. Seems like it ain't our problem but yours -- so when will you fix it????If you are updating, might as well go all the way to .8, as it includes important security and stability updates for your mac.
