When "backing up" or "syncing" my iphone to iTunes, my computer is telling me it is unathorized, but when I go to authorize it, I get a pop up saying it already is
When I go to back up my phone, it tells me to transfer my purchases made from my iPhone to my iTunes, but then as it makes it to that step, I get a pop up saying that my computer is not authorized to make the transfer even though it is authorized. I have tried to deauthorize it and then authorize again, but it still will not allow me to make the transfer. If I manually check off all the songs in my library to put on my phone, it works that one time. Then the next time, it syncs without a problem. Any time after that, I have to switch back and forth between those two to put music on my phone or to back it up on my computer. I have never had a problem with this until I got the new iphone5.

When I try to sync my iphone with itunes, it tells me a warning that I don't have enough memory and yet the status bar at the bottom says that I do and I know that I have enough memory. What's the problem? It happens with the ipods and ipad as well!!!
The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

Everytime I try to sync my iPhone 5c onto my computer there's always a message that pops up and says there's an unknown error. I have synced my iPhone to a new computer and have purchased new music on this computer. I have previous music on my old computer which is still on my phone but i want that music off. I just want to start over with the new music i got on this computer. For some reason, the old music from my old computer won't show up on my new computer, but the old music shows up on my iPhone 5c. I have no idea on how to delete the old songs. My iPhone doesn't give me the option. I'm thinking maybe the error has to do something with that. Any suggestions?

Please help. Every time I try to sync my iphone with itunes it gets stuck at step 2 and just spins. I have iTunes 10.6.3.25 installed. I've even shut down and rebooted. Nothing helps.
Based on what someone else said, I am getting the "rotating ball of eternal sadness". Yup. That about describes it.

I own an iPhone 5s, but this also seems to occur with any of the other devices I try to back up or sync.
Something temporarily wrong with your internet connection?
Be aware that this is a very large file to download, it needs a strong consistent internet connection.
Have the iPhone on the charger cable too.
In the meantime read the threads in this forum about the visibility item and some other possible issues on the 4 and 4S (although a large number of people have these issues, it is still a minor percentage, but anyhow, be aware). -

Scared to sync my iPhone with iTunes after computer crash
Hi - my computer crashed and I had to reinstall iTunes. I used a program and recovered all of my music and apps from my iPhone 4S and then added a few new music files. I'd like to sync my phone with iTunes to get these new music files on it (they are from a CD, not an iTunes purchase). I'm afraid that when I sync, it will erase all of my pictures since there aren't any pictures on iTunes. How can I be sure this won't happen? I want to use iTunes for syncing and back up but I'm scared to, because it might erase everything. I have already checked off the "do not automatically sync." But once I press that sync button, what might happen to my pictures?
Help and thanks!!!See:

I am trying to hard sync my i phone to my MAC before I purchase a new phone. My MAC however has a pop up that says I already have 5 computers associated with this ID. So I went into i tunes store and had a list of 4 items, I deauthorized 2, my i pod & i pad, which left 2 items on the list. However I am still getting the same pop up saying I have 5 devices. Any ideas how to correct this?
Go to one of the other computers and use the Deauthorize Computer function. If you don't have physical or network access to any of them, use the Deauthorize All command documented in the article you asked this question from, and if that's not an option, the link to contact the iTunes Store staff at the bottom of it.

When I plug my iPhone into PC to sync, I am getting a screen with music squares with notes in the icon. I was getting the iTunes home sync screen with the categories on the left side. And it had options along the top as sync items. It will sync, but I have no idea where the iTunes screen went.
I also will get an error message that says "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the iPhone disconnected". But, it does back up and it is connected. Any ideas out there as to what is going on and how I could fix this? Thanks. The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. In attempting to sync my i-phone with my new PC a message appears on the PC that I must enter a password (long forgotten) for an old email address. I've tried everything I know including trying to reset the password by providing my current email address. Nothing works.

Message reads: the required software is not installed. Remove iTunes and re-install. I have a pc with Windows XP. If I re-install iTunes, won't this erase all of my data from iTunes?
No, reinstalling iTunes will not remove iTunes data. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925

When I try to sync my Iphone with Itunes i am getting the error message about it being synced to another I tunes library. I switched to manually manage music and now the eroor says i am synced to another itunes library "Admin" and all existing content on the phone will be replaced with content from the Itunes library.
Copy all the content on your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes. Then go ahead and sync the iPod with your new library.
See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.
