When change a WebService WSDL, Java WD crash

Hi,
I'm facing a problem that I can not fully comprehend. I'm going to explain it hoping for some answers...
I have a WDynpro that call a custom SAP WebService. It works. perfectly.
I change the SAP WebService adding a response field to the existing ones.
I call the WDynpro again and it does not works anymore. I recevie a message like this
"Probably runtime WSDL and design-time WSDL are inconsistent".
Solution found is the foillowing. I change the webdynpro simply reimporting the WS model.
Question is the following: If I add a field in the response of a WebService I need to reimport the model in ALL the Web Dynpros
that use that service ? It sound very strange to me. That means that every change on a WebService correspond to a lot of changes to the DC's using that WebService.
Please explain me....
Thanks a lot.

Hi,
A WSDL represents the "Structure" of the Web Service that you are calling. That means, it defines the signature of the methods, which is the Input, output and exception parameters for each one of them.
The WSDL is used for creation of the Web Service Model.
Hence, whenever there is a change in the method signature of the Web Service, the WSDL is also modified, and thus the model.
So it is true that, whenever you are modifying the request, response or the exception of the Web Service, you will need to re-import the Web Service Model. If this Web Service is used as model many DCs or Projects, then yes, it will be required to be re-imported.
While technical  / programmatic changes in the method code does not require re-import.
Regards,
Alka.

  • Problem when invoke the  Webservice WSDL

    Hi ,
    Use case :
    I have two applications (Webservices) A and B.They have their own WSDL urls.
    From A ---> request format at A ---->Transform that into B request format----->forward that(request) to B request --- > get B response -----> tranfrom that into A response format ----> A response
    First part of usecase:
    I need to send the request from A to B.But both A and B has different request and response schemas(they will have similar kind of fileds but their naming convention will be different.That is why transformation is required in jdeveloper)
    I have developed a composite which has one BPEL process as component.
    I am placing the A webservice as "exposed Service" swimlane and B webservice in 'external reference'.BPEL process is in component swimlane.
    I deployed that Composite which has above BPEL Process(Takes input from one wsdl url and transforms that request format to (another) webservice request format as explained above) which tries to invoke(send request to) the another webservice Wsdl.
    When I test that composite (That WSDL url),I am getting service invokation exception.
    Please see the below exception:

    I am getting "Webservice invokation failed" message and above exception.

    javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 401 Unauthorized at oracle.sysman.emas.model.wsmgt.WSTestModel.invokeOperation(WSTestModel.java:575) at
    Is there any problem with authentication to that wsdl url?
    I think u can understand my problem by looking at above clearly explained content.
    Hope u guys will help me out in this issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    Hope I will receive response as soon as possible as it is very critical at this point.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Some part is requiring authentication, either the proxy or the web service provider. First thing is to determine which of them.
    Are you able to call B via SOAP-UI? Are you passing authentication in SOAP-UI? If not the problem is in you proxy server.
    Check 401 error here:
    http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E401.html
    Cheers,

  • Acrobat XI Pro crashing when changing highlighted text properties

    After install update 11.0.07 EVERY after highlighting a section of text and attempting to change the properties the program crashes, this is happening in ALL my documents with highlighted text
    Here is what I see, first screen shot is a PDF file that I received. To rule out errors in the first file I created the file in the second screen shot with the same results in both files when attempting to change the highlighted text properties ie CRASH
    I'm in two mind as to ether uninstall and re install and apply update 11.0.06 , as there was no problem then, as this only seemed to start when update 11.0.07 was applied. OR to totally remove and re-install and then apply update 11.0.07  and see if this continues

  • Textedit and preview crashing in osx lion when changing network location

    I did upgrade to lion on launch and noticed that textedit and preview work quite well except when  changing network location: after a few seconds of spinning ball, both crash.

    UPDATE 2: I'm having this issue both on my iMac and my Macbook, so I suppose it's a lion bug and not simply something related to something that went wrong during the update (permissions or something like this). It's both in 10.7 and 10.7.1.
    I'm going to try on my wife's Macbook to see if it's something related to some software or setting I'm using; in the meanwhile, can someone out there try to reproduce this issue? Just open textedit and change the network location from the menu bar (you should create one other than "automatic" for  "locations" to show up just below "dock"): at this point you should get the spinning ball and then a window telling you that textedit just crashed. Try to do a couple of times if it doesn't crash the first one.
    BTW I noticed that textedit doesn't crash if you have the network preference pane open and active ("system preferences" showed on the menu bar) and change the location from the menu bar.
    I think I'm going to give a call to Applecare to see if there's some plan to get this corrected in some next update.

  • Java plugin crashes when creating a new sun.security.pkcs11.SunPKCS11 object

    Hi,
    I have created an applet which signs pdf files and works fine.
    Applet is used in a website that needs client authentication with the same smart card wich is used to sign the documents.
    The java plugin crashes at this line of code. The message showed - The java applet plugin has failed
    sunpkcs11 = new sun.security.pkcs11.SunPKCS11(pkcs11);
    I think it crashes because the pkcs11 module is still used, the light of the smart card reader is not blinking is a fixed light.
    I haven't got an error log because the java plugin crashes. Only shows the log lines before that line of code.
    Later the sunpkcs11 provider is added if the smarcard is unplugged and java plugin don't crashes.
    Security.addProvider(sunpkcs11);
    If I unplug the smart card after client authentication and before sign a document, the java plugin don't crashes and later, the provider is added, and the document is signed and the light of the smart card reader is blinking before signing.

    http://bugs.java.com/view_bug.do?bug_id=8026833
    I have tested the same applet with firefox, in windows 7, windows 8, ubuntu 13.10 and fedora 19, and works and signs documents after client authentication.
    when applet is loaded in windows is not using pkcs11. But I haven't got the same problem.
    But in mac os x v10.8 and v10.9 java plugin crashes.
    Is there a way to disconnect programatically the pkcs11 module or any other solution?
    I'm not sure why the java plugin crashes. Has got any relationship with the bug 8026833?
    Any suggestion?.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you had Errors TF30162 and TF250025 when creating a New Team Project in TFS2012 with Sharepoint Site on Visual Studio.
    The Errors TF30162 seemed that the reports for TFS could not be uploaded due a permission problem. The fix was really easy.
    Go to your team foundation server
    Open the administration console.
    Click on Reporting
    Click on Edit
    Click on Reports Tab
    Enter the credential for the Reports
    Save
    Click on Start Jobs
    In addtion, the problem may be due to the caching done by Team Explorer in Visual Studio. Exiting the copy of VS on the client and reloading it will fix the problem as the updated team process settings will cached locally.
    To resolve the Errors TF250025, you will need to register a new internal URL for the SharePoint site using Alternate Access Mappings.
    Here are two great blogs for you to take a look at:
    http://blogbaris.blogspot.in/2012_08_01_archive.html
    http://petersullivan.com.au/2009/11/23/tf250025-and-tf262600-errors-on-team-foundation-server-tfs-2010-project-portal-dashboard/
    If still no help, for quick and accurate answers to your questions, it is recommended that you initial a new thread in Visual Studio Team Foundation Server forums.
    Team Foundation Server – General:

    Thank you for your understanding.

  • My java launcher crashes when display SplashScreen with JDK7 on MacOSX

    I'm writing a java launcher using JNI on MacOSX, to display a SplashScreen and AWT window. I have almost finished the program, that it runs with JDK6 successfully, but it will crash with JDK7 if SplashScreen shown.
    I have posted my code and error message here:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/21021366/my-java-launcher-crashes-when-display-splashscreen-with-jdk7-on-macosx
    Anyone can help me how to show SplashScreen correctly with JDK7 on MacOSX? Anyone can point it out where is wrong in my program?
    You can download the program here:
    http://www.playcoding.com/sites/playcoding/files/launchers.zip (the launcherV3)
    The crash log is here: http://www.playcoding.com/sites/playcoding/files/hs_err_pid241.log

    The server JIT compiler is crashing.
    This could be an instance of bug 6332641, which will be fixed in 1.5.0_08. It has no known workaround, other than to exclude the method being compiled.
    You may want to file a bug.

  • My java keeps crashing and when I try to download a new version it won't download I can't use some sites becaus of it what can I do?

    java keeps crashing and won't download because fire fox doesn't support it any longer.

    Try un-installing and then re-installing.

  • WSDL - Java problem

    Hi all,
    I have been trying to generate a web service from a WSDL file (which, in my opinion, is the best way to create a web service when you don't already have a program). But there's some problems I run across which I can't seem to find the solution for.
    My traject should be: WSDL -> Java Files -> Compiling -> Deployment, where my primary WSDL should not be changed (or just endpoint address)
    I use JWSDP 1.2.
    1)
    When I try to replicate the helloservice, static stub example with my own WSDL file, I receive the following error:
    wscompile.bat -gen:server -d build -classpath build config-wsdl.xml
    error: generator error: no encoder for type "{http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema}date" and Java type "java.util.Calendar"
    can anyone explain what this is?
    2)
    I tried -import and -keep instead of -gen:server, to get my Java files. This worked and created a lot of java files and even an implementation file, where I could create my webservice. So far it looked good, but after compiling and deploying, the service does not work. The problem is that the generated classes all have changed names (first letter lowercase, instead of uppercase), resulting in a non-working application.
    SEVERE: Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class com.sun.xml.rpc.server.http.JAXRPCContextListener

    at com.sun.xml.rpc.server.http.JAXRPCRuntimeInfoParser.loadClass(JAXRPCRuntimeInfoParser.java:150)
    Where myOperation in my WSDL file is called 'MyOperation'
    So now I'm stuck, can anybody help me or give me a step-by-step how to create a service

    Here's how I do it. I hope this won't annoy other people since this will be a long code post.
    1) Create the java interface: DateServiceInf.java:
    package MyService;
    import MyService.holders.*;
    public interface DateServiceInf extends java.rmi.Remote {
         public void setDate(java.util.Date date) throws java.rmi.RemoteException;
         public void getDate(DateHolder dholder) throws java.rmi.RemoteException;
    2) Create the java implementation: DateServiceImpl.java:
    package MyService;
    public class DateServiceImpl implements MyService.DateServiceInf{
         java.util.Date date = new java.util.Date();     //current date
         public DateServiceImpl() {
         public void getDate(MyService.holders.DateHolder dholder) throws java.rmi.RemoteException{
              dholder.setDate(date);
         public void setDate(java.util.Date date) throws java.rmi.RemoteException{
              this.date = date;
    3) Create the holder class: DateHolder.java
    package MyService.holders;
    public class DateHolder {
         private java.util.Date date;
         public DateHolder() {
              date = null;
         public java.util.Date getDate() {
              return date;
         public void setDate(java.util.Date date) {
              this.date = date;
    Compile the whole thing now.
    (you can skip to step 5 below)
    4) Using Apache axis to generate the wsdl file, assume the unzip axis1.1 is located at d:\axis-1_1 (windows bat file) and jdk at c:\j2sdk1.4.0: (make sure all files above are located in the proper directories (packages).
    @echo off
    set AXIS_HOME=d:\axis-1_1
    set AXIS_LIB=%AXIS_HOME%\lib
    set AXISCLASSPATH=%AXIS_LIB%\axis.jar;%AXIS_LIB%\commons-discovery.jar;%AXIS_LIB%\commons-logging.jar;%AXIS_LIB%\jaxrpc.jar;%AXIS_LIB%\saaj.jar;%AXIS_LIB%\log4j-1.2.8.jar;%AXIS_LIB%\xml-apis.jar;%AXIS_LIB%\xercesImpl.jar;%AXIS_LIB%\wsdl4j.jar

  • All Java Processes crash on RH Linux 7.3 / 6.3 without any comment

    We have the following Problem on two Machines. We installed j2sdk1.4.0 first, then jdk-1.3.1_04 (Because of other Problems with 1.4.0).
    Now all running java Processes crash after up to two hours without any comment, any error file. Looks like they were killed by the 'kill' Command. The running java Processes are different Programs, that do very different things.
    The OS on the two machines are RH Linux 7.3 and 6.3 - normal installation without any essential changes.
    I would be very happy, if someone have an idea, how to solve this Problem. If you need additional Information, ask for.
    Holger

    ... if someone have an idea, how to solve this Problem.Seems like I remember seeing a problem like that.
    It turned out that indeed it was the 'kill' command. Another process was running, looking for the app, and killing it when it found it.
    We spend quite a bit of time trying to figure out why our app was 'crashing' before deciding to look elsewhere (when we discovered the other process.)

  • Invalid security error when invoking secure webservice using SAML tokens

    I have deployed a JAX-WS webservice using a stateless session bean to wl 10.3.2 that uses a custom policy. The service deploys fine, but weblogic returns an HTTP error 500 with a SOAP fault. The fault states wsse:InvalidSecurity. The webservice security policy reqires SAML holder of key assertions and attributes. I have tried everything from running weblogic with Metro 1.5 to configuring SAML Identity Asserter Providers, etc with no luck. I even tried using the built in SAML 2.0 assymetric holder of key policy. What am I doing wrong? The XML of interest is attached.
    Thanks;

    Hi
    yes, I had the same issue and I found a solution.
    You need to request a patch for BUG 9212862 (already corrected in WLS 10.3.3) and do the follwing:
    javax.xml.ws.BindingProvider provider = (javax.xml.ws.BindingProvider)port;
    java.util.Map context = provider.getRequestContext();
    context.put(weblogic.wsee.jaxrpc.WLStub.POLICY_COMPATIBILITY_PREFERENCE, weblogic.wsee.jaxrpc.WLStub.POLICY_COMPATIBILITY_MSFT);
    This will cause the SecurityMessageArchitect class of WLS to not send the SecurityTokenReference in the Soap security header.
    Please note that is evidently a non-comformity to the specs of microsoft:
    Please give a look at
    http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-soap-message-security-1.0.pdf (8.3 Signing Tokens)
    and also at:
    http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/16768/wss-v1.1-spec-os-SAMLTokenProfile.pdf
    (3.4 Identifying and Referencing Security Tokens)
    A SAML key identifier reference MUST be used for all (local and remote) references to SAML 1.1
    assertions. [...]
    All conformant implementations MUST be able to process SAML assertion references occurring in a
    <wsse:Security> header or in a header element other than a signature to acquire the corresponding
    assertion. A conformant implementation MUST be able to process any such reference independent of the
    confirmation method of the referenced assertion.
    It follows that the .NET 3.5 is a non conformat implementation: I would gladly know which is the position of Microsoft on that.
    ciao

  • Consuming MII WebService in Java WebDynpro

    Hello,
    We are facing a strange situation...
    We define a transaction in MII to be consumed as WebService in Java WebDynpro. This transaction is a simple query on a DB returning 4 fields :
    Shift code : SHIFT
    Shift description : DESCRIPTION
    Start time : START_TIME
    End time : END_TIME
    It works fine, we use the import adaptative web service wizzard in netweaver developper studio to use this WS...
    But if we to an update on the webservice, changing a field name for example (SHIFT -> SHIFTCODE), we start to have trouble...
    We got then the very helpful error message :
    Exception on execution of web service with WSDL URL '<sever>/WebServices/GetShift' with operation 'Xacute' in interface 'XacuteWSSoap'
    If I display the model info using wdContext.currentRequest_XacuteElement().modelObject().associatedModelClassInfo().getModelInfo().toString()
    I got the following (extract) :
    <ModelClassPropertyInfo name="SHIFT" dataType="com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.types.string(java.lang.String)" readOnly="false" qName="SHIFT" required="true" backendType="null"/>
    As you can see, the model definition is NOT updated and we still have SHIFT as name instead of SHIFTCODE...
    If someboby has an idea, it will save us our life ;o)
    Thank you
    PS:it the same behaviour if we add a field...

    Oliver -
    Did you try to reimport the WS model ..? If yes and still doesn't work...Try  to delete the old proxy in webdynpro ( adoptive ws) and import again.
    To avoid code changes,you can give same old name while fresh import.
    Adoptive WS in webdynpro  is not really like Adoptive RFC .It has some limitations.
    Thanks
    Hari
