When compiling in 6.02 I get: "Error 1: Get Section names.vi:\." (sic)

The problem occurs (at the very end of compilation)only when compiling one particular bit of code, though reloading a version of that code which had previously compiled, still produced the same error.

eenok,
I would try uninstalling the Application Builder and then reinstalling it. I would also try doing a repair of the LabVIEW 6 installation by going to Add/Remove Programs for LabVIEW 6 and selecting the reinstall option.
I say this because it sounds like either the Application builder files have become corrupted or the VI Get Section Names.vi from the Functions»File I/O»Configuration File VIs have become corrupted somehow.

    CANT GENERATE MC ON CONTENT CANVAS FOLLOWED BY TABBED CANVASES
    *** 07/13/00 03:16 am ***
    This may possibly be related to bug #1132350.
    I have a module with 3 module components.
    I want the 1st mc displayed on the content canvas. Placement = New Content
    Canvas.
    I want the 2nd and 3rd mc's displayed on tabbed canvases below the 1st mc.
    Placement = New Tab Canvas Page.
    I was able to generate this module with Des6.0
    With Des6i, when I attempt to generate I get the message:
    CDG-01281 ERROR: Module HSD0016F: Oracle Forms binary file for BLOCKS ON TABS
    has NOT been created
    The module will only generate if I set all 3 mc's to Placement = New Tab
    Canvas Page.

    I have re-opened this bug as I am still able to reproduce the problem with
    Designer 6i Release 2.
    Test case is Headstart Demo application form HSD0016F.
    I noticed that when you generated the form above, you did not use the
    Headstart object library, but used the Designer object library instead.
    Could you try generating the form using the Headstart object library and
    template package.
    The version of headstart you have has the workaround in place in this form.
    Therefore, you will need to edit the module before you generate it.
    In the module componenet EMP, change the Placement property from New Tab
    Canvas Page to New Content Canvas.
    (Due to another bug, you should also blank out the height on all displayed
    columns of type date or datetime in all 3 module components.)
    Generate the module.
    I get the following results:

    I have finally been able to pin down why this is happening with Headstart
    generated applications and not with applications using the default Designer
    object library.
    In our object library, the standard source object CGSO$BLOCK has a number of
    block level triggers, and one item. These are standard and need to be on
    every 'normal' block generated with Headstart.
    However, this makes it impossible to generate a form with block 1 on the
    content canvas followed by 2 or more blocks on tabbed canvases on the same
    page.
    If I remove the block level triggers and item, I can generate this form
    (though of course this is useless to me because I lose all Headstart
    functionality).
    Furthermore, if I try to explicitly direct Designer to use another object from
    the object library, by recoding a Template/Library Object on the module
    components, the form generator ignores this and uses CGSO$BLOCK anyway.
    Suggested workaround:
    - copy qmsolm65.fmb and qmsolb65.olb to another name (e.g. qmswrkrn.fmb and
    qmswrkrnd.olb
    - in qmswrkrn.fmb add a new block, qmsso$save_triggers. Make this block an
    exact copy of cgso$block including triggers and item.
    - change the blocks that used to subclass from cgso$block to now subclass from
    qmsso$save_triggers
    - in cgso$block, remove the triggers and item
    - generate the qmswrkrnd.olb object library
    - for each module in Designer that requires the blocks on tab layout, go to
    the form level preferences and set the standard object library to qmswrkrn.olb
    - generate the form(s)
    - do a post-generation modification to subclass the data blocks from the
    qmsso$save_triggers block
    I'm glad to see you've raised the Development Priority to 1. This is probably
    the single most popular layout for a master with multiple details, and it is
    really crippling not to be able to generate this layout. We are already
    getting complaints from our beta clients.
    Just a reminder, you can duplicate this bug using the Headstart demo
    application form hsd0016f. You must change module component EMP to use layout
    style 'New Content Canvas'. (It is currently set to New Tab Page.) You must
    also be sure to use the Headstart object library and template form when you
    generate.
    *** 01/25/01 07:05 am ***
    Found a much simpler workaround! In object library maintenance form
    qmsolm65.fmb, set Visible property of cgso$block.qms$block_info to Yes. Then
    re-create qmsolb65.olb object libary. Form will now generate.
    Since this is the second problem we have found in Headstart related to having
    a hidden item in cgso$block, for Headstart 6i I am eliminating this item.
    In the meantime, use this workaround for Headstart 6i beta and for Patch 13.

    is this a bug?

    I see nothing Flash specific in your source code.  Try compiling this with a native g++ toolchain to see if the problem reproduces there as well.

    Vendor code 904
    When I click OK on this message I get a confirmation saying:
    Packages have been compiled with #0.CNT# errors.
    I had this error in both the previous and the new version. Is this a bug or is there a way to come around it? When I copy and modify the SQL generated to perform this task and run it in SQL Plus it works fine.
    I use Windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 4, SQL Developer version 1.2.1, Oracle 9.2.0.8.0 and Java version 1.5.0_11

    i have now upgraded to Java 1.6 update 2. I still get basically the same error, but it is presented a little bit differently:
    An error was encountered performing the requested operation:
    ORA-00904: "ATTRIBUTE": invalid identifier
    00904. 00000 - "%s: invalid identifier"
    *Cause:
    *Action:
    Vendor code 904
    Are there other possible error causes than the operating system version and the database version?
    We are going to install an Oracle 10 test database in a couple of weeks, so then I will find out whether the database version is the problem.

  • Error when compiling cannot resolve symbol

    I am kind of new to java please take a look into this code. I am getting this error cannot resolve the symbol.
    this is the first class I saved under folder called javapractice as t1. I don't get any error message when I compile this, but when I compile the second class I got the error message.It would be appreciated if someone can help. thanks
    package javapractice;
    public class t1{
    double a;
    double b;
    double c;
    t1(double ax){
    a = ax;
    b = 0;
    c = 0;
    this is the second class also I saved as t2 under javapractice folder. when I compile this class I got the error cannot resolve the name.
    package javapractice;
    public class t2 {
    public static void main(String args[]) {
    t1 d = new t1();
    d.a = 3;
    System.out.println(d.a);
    System.out.println(d.b);
    System.out.println(d.c);

    The problem ist1 d = new t1();You need to pass a double param. to the constructor of t1t1 d = new t1((double)10.0);

  • When I try to "Get Track Names" or "Get Album Art," the wrong info or no info is retrieved

    I'm using the latest iTunes and Lion OS.
    I have many songs from long ago (not downloaded from iTunes) which have incorrect album names, etc., and I want to clean them up, but when I enter the correct info and select "Get Album Art" or "Get Track Names," either nothing is found or the incorrect information is returned, respectively.
    For example, I have a song:
    Artist: James Taylor
    Album: Greatest Hits
    Name: Mexico
    It does not have the associated Album Art, nor does it have the rest of the information like Track, Year, etc.  It just has the Track Name, Album Name and Artist Name.  I want to update this to show that it is from the original Album, "Gorilla," so I right-click and select Info, and I fill in the Album Name as "Gorilla." When I right-click and select "Get Album Art," it tells me: "Artwork for "James Taylor - Gorilla" could not be found - though it exists in iTunes. When I right-click and select "Get Track Names," the item is updatd, and now it reads:
    Artist: America
    Album: Mellow Rock Hits Of The 70s: Summer Breeze
    Name: A Horse With No Name
    When I rename everything to "James Taylor," "Mexico," and "Gorilla," and select either "Get Album Art" or "Get Track Names," I get the exact same thing: no album artwork found, and it renames it to America.
    What is happening?  What am I doing wrong?  Do I have the wrong expectations of the two right-click options?

    I don't think CDDB and iTunes Store is the same.  The CDDB gets information for CDs only (not collections of tracks made from a CD) and uses CD features such as track lengths (exact, which could be modified by a fraction of a second when you make a MP3) track count, etc. It doesn't use any information such as artist, track name. From what Mike Johnson12 was saying it seems that ITMS uses the base tag information to identify the track fully.
    I have never used iTunes Store to label a track so I can't provide information there. I have no idea what criteria it uses, but for other id3 tag application and iTunes, by "exact" we mean exact.  Letter case is important, and I have even found that sometimes font can make a difference.
    For album artwork I do a Google search, then restrict the finds to images and select the best quality I can find. This is also the biggest in terms of file size so I only attach the image to one file in a track. When playing iTunes on the computer it displays that image for all tracks in that album.

  • Missing underscores when compiling JSP

    Hi all,
              I am running WebLogic 5.1 SP4 on RedHat Linux 6.2 and I have a problem
              when compiling my jsp pages.
              The problem is the package name created by the jsp engine. Say, I have a
              jsp page called index.jsp in a directory called public. The compiler
              ought to (I think) compile the page with the name public.index.java
              but it tries to compile it as public.index.java which isn't possible
              because the word 'public' is a reserved word in Java.
              So my question is:
              Is it possible to define the prefix of the name of the compiled jsp
              pages?
              And how do I do that?
              Thanks

    Tick Always get CD track names from internet.
    If you have already imported, select the tracks in iTunes, then iTunes menu Advanced > Get CD track names.

  • I am getting this error when compiling project.

    I created a project from an existing source files. I then wanted to compile my entire project. When I do that, I am getting the following errors on all my .jsp files. Does anyone know what this mean or how to stop this. Thanks.
    Error: JSP files must reside in the server root directory or a subdirectory beneath it

    Thaks for posting replying. I like to understand why you need to have it under a perticular directory. We have our project organized as follow.
    Project
    |
    |- src
    |--- java
    |------ com
    |--------- abc
    |--- web
    |--- xml
    |--- conf
    |--- db
    |--- other ...
    And we have the .jsp files all under web directory. We are currently using another IDEA and I would like to give JDeveloper a try. So, I checked out my project from CVS into a temp directory and playing with jdeveloper. Do I have to re-arrange all my directory structure to make it work with jdeveloper?

  • Errors were found when compiling the workflow. The workflow files were saved but cannot be run.

    Greetings All,
    I am having issues with a SharePoint Designer workflow.  This is a SharePoint 2013 environment, I'm using SharePoint Designer 2013 and working on a SharePoint 2010 workflow.  I'm developing this as a SharePoint 2010 workflow because I need to do
    impersonation.
    The environment and workflow have been running, in the past week, without issue.  I went to add a couple steps and now I cannot publish the workflow.  While in SharePoint Designer, I receive the error:
    "Errors were found when compiling the workflow.  The workflow files were saved but cannot be run."  When I click the Advanced button on the error dialog, the message is "Unexpected error on server associating the workflow."
    That is all the error information I have available; nothing is in the log files.
    I have investigated this error and tried the following:
    Cleared the SharePoint Designer cache.
    The WebApp.UserDefinedWorkflowMaximumComplexity was at 7000 so I increased it to 10000.  Restarted the servers (which may not have been necessary) and tried again receiving the same error.  I then increased it to 30000 with the same error result.
    Since this is a large workflow, I tried created a workflow with a single action, write to workflow log, with the same error results.
    I reboot the servers and try again and now I can publish the small test workflow but not the original.  However, neither will run.  When I attempt to manually run the small test workflow on an item, I get an error: "Sorry something went wrong.
    An unexpected error occurs.  I checked the log files for the correlation id and nothing, nothing was logged for the error. ~arg~
    Also, now no workflows can be published in this web app.  Not just the one I was working on but none of them!
    Does anyone have a clue what has happened to the SharePoint 2010 workflow service?  Or some suggestions for me to try?
    Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi Sagar,
    I appreciate it but if you see my original post, this is a SharePoint 2010 workflow that cannot be published; which has now caused all SharePoint 2010 workflows in the same web app to error.
    Your first link is specific to SharePoint 2013 workflows.
    Your second link refers to the UserDefinedWorkflowMaximumComplexity.  If you read my original post, I've already tried this and I've tried to publish a small (single activity) workflow.
    Your third link also refers to large workflows with many approval activities.  My workflow doesn't contain any approval activities.
    And you fourth link refers to 2013 workflows not 2010.
    My issue is with publishing and running a SharePoint 2010 workflow in SharePoint 2013.
    Thank you...

  • Errors were found when compiling workflow in SharePoint Designer 2010

    Hello there,
    I've run into a interesting issue in SharePoint Designer 2010 when publishing a workflow. I now get the below error
    Normally when I get this message I simply clear the SharePoint Designer 2010 cache described in this
    article, however, in this case the issue still continued. Hence I started the process of trial and error and quickly realized that the Update Item action was the culprit. In this action I am updating approximately 70 columns. Currently, I have two such
    actions running in sequence. When I added the third Update Item action to do the same, I started getting this error.
    Has anyone else experienced this before? In the workflow I am currently working on I am going to have to using the Update Item action several times and update approximately 70 columns hence I am open to other ideas to do the same.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Entan Ming,
    Thanks for your reply, Hope you are aware that while we create any new workflow using SharePoint Designer 2013. There are two ways (We can say Platforms) to create the new workflow 1. SharePoint
    2010 and 2. SharePoint 2013.
    If I choose second one I. e SharePoint 2013, and try to create, save and publish workflow it`s working fine. But whenever I select option no. 1  i.e. SharePoint 2010  Platform to create
    the workflow, I am able to Create it , save it , but while I try to publish it I got an error:
    Errors were found when compiling the workflow. The workflow files were saved but cannot be run.
    When I click on Advance I got message:
    Unexpected error on server associating the workflow
    My question is that, I am not able to publish any workflow in SharePoint 2010 Platform, using SharePoint Designer 2013.
    Before publishing a workflow, I click on ‘Check for errors’ button, there was no any error found.
    Thanks & Regards Mr. Bajirao Shinde

  • Strange error message when compiling an IPA ("multiple L$start$ labels found at same address in...")

    I get this message when compiling an IPA with AIR 3.6:
    ld: warning: multiple L$start$ labels found at same address in __ZN9NetStream12DispatchProcEP10NativeInfo at offset 0x06C0
    Googling a bit, it seems it's an error message from this C++ class:
    http://opensource.apple.com/source/ld64/ld64-133.3/src/ld/LinkEdit.hpp
    So I suppose it's a bug in the AIR for iOS compiler. Any clues about why am I getting that warning message?

    I've been getting this message for quite a while, but I think a fix will soon be needed. I got the following message from Apple:

    The MDS schema that you are using in your composite component is causing this issue I believe.

  • Pragma error when compiling with SDK X

    Hi,
    I am trying to compile my plugin application (which compiled fine with the previous sdk) using the SDK X, but receive errors in CAVAlert.h on the exception handler construct DURING, HANDLER, END_HANDLER.
    The errors are listed here:
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:156:3: error: 'suppress' was not declared in this scope
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:156:3: error: 'warning' was not declared in this scope
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:156:3: error: '__pragma' was not declared in this scope
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:156:3: error: expected ';' before 'jmp_buf'
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:156:3: error: 'ASException' was not declared in this scope
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:156:3: error: expected ')' before ':' token
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:156:3: error: expected ';' before 'struct'
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:162:3: error: request for member 'E_RETURNOutsideDURINGBlock' in 'gBadReturnCatcher', which is of non-class type 'int'
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:162:3: error: expected ')' before ':' token
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:162:3: error: expected ';' before 'int'
    Headers/API/CAVAlert.h:165:3: error: 'ENDHANDLEROutsideHANDLER' was not declared in this scope
    To compile against to SDK X all I did was:
    1) Used PIMain.c from the SDK X API directory.
    2) Changed ACRO_SDK_LEVEL=0x00090000 => ACRO_SDK_LEVEL=0x000A0000
    3) Changed the include directories to point to the new SDK X directories
    Is there another directive I must add to get the plugin to compile with SDK X?
    My preprocessor list is as follows:
    ACRO_SDK_LEVEL=0x000A0000
    HAVE_W32API_H
    PDMETADATA_HFT=1
    PLUGIN=1
    WIN32
    WIN_ENV
    WIN_PLATFORM
    WXUSINGDLL
    _CRT_SECURE_NO_DEPRECATE
    _DEBUG
    _WINDOWS
    __GNUWIN32__
    __WIN32__
    __WXMSW__
    Thank you,
    Magda
