When drag date hierarchy into excel, it list all years , is there anyway to suppress?

hi , I've created a cube with fact tables and a few dim tables. One of dim is DimDate and I've created a hierarchy year-month-day,
pretty simple. When I drag this hierarchy to measure sales Amount, it lists all years from 1900 till 2599... As a matter of fact,
this cube only contains data of 2014.. is there anyway to only show those data with data?
It must be a property setting inside SSAS which I am not aware of.

According to your description, Joson's suggestion is exactly right. We can apply custom filters to control the way that rows are displayed. Rows that do not meet the filtering criteria are hidden. You can filter by one or more columns. Please refer to the

The cq:listeners node of a component's cq:EditConfig has a number of events that fire with relation to the edit mode drag'n'drop stuff. You would probably want to hook one or more of the insert ones (beforeinsert, beforechildinsert, afterinsert, afterchildinsert).

Restore your library from your most recent backup (you do keep regular backups, I hope). If the hard drive is in any way salvageable it may be possible to mount it in an external enclosure, connect it to your PC, and retrieve data from it even if it is not functioning as a primary OS drive (if you don't have the kit necessary to do this, your local PC repair shop may be able to help). Failing that, you can always recreate your library by re-importing your CDs.

Unable to download the data perfectly into excel sheet

Hi Frnds,
when i am trying to download the data from the output of a report into excel, some of the records(line items/rows) are getting stored in one of column of the excel sheet. Fog eg: my report outputs 500 line items. In excel after 100 rows the next 5-10 records/rows are storing in one column. so at the end of excel sheet i may not find total 500 records/line items.
Plz suggest me how to handle this.

Column Aliases not working when using MS Query into Excel?

I setup an Oracle ODBC connection from my desktop to an Oracle 9i DB, and created an MS Query sql:
select sysdate as "Today" from dual;
When I tried to run it and return it to Excel, it would ignore the column alias of 'Today' and keep putting in 'SYSDATE' as the column header.

I've read some other reports out there on the web and tried changing a registry entry per the MSDN knowledge base, but that didn't help. Several of the existing threads in this forum only refer to exporting directly to an Excel file from Oracle, rather than pulling the information from the db into excel using an abstraction layer such as ODBC (ADO would be similar I'm sure).
Just curious if other Oracle SQL guys have run into this same problem. I'm sure somebody's had to use a column alias in their Oracle->Excel results before..

Are you using SQL plus? Have you tried Oracle's SQL
developer? It is free, does not require an install
on your computer (you can run it from a flash drive),
and it exports pretty smoothly to excel.I'm not using SQL Plus -- this was purely excel / ODBC as the client and Oracle as the database layer.
I had looked at SQL Developer, along with DB Visualizer (along the same lines , as a sql gui with some export capability to .csv and excel formats). However, I don't think it quite served my purpose in trying to have a workable data-source where I could pull from Excel and use VBScript or C# to do the manipulation and customized reporting/charting/pivot-tabling.
My eventual workaround was to bypass MS Query altogether for creating the 'external data table' in Excel, and instead create the query through code.

Trying to export x and y data points into excel

Hi guys,
I'm in a bit of a time crunch and I've been trying to figure a simple issue out. I've been trying to export the x and y data points into an excel file. I thought trying to use a property node would work but I've been tinkering with different subsets of the specific property nodes without any success. The current issue I'm having right now is that the current way I have the data points into the excel file is incorrect because it's not including the x axis data points. Additionally, I have thousands of data points that really slows things down. I have attached the vi. Thanks.

Try restarting your iPhone first. If that fails, reset iPhone by pressing the Home & Sleep/Wake vuttons together for 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.

Writing to excel file continuously is not a good idea, you can use ".CSV" or TDMS file format and once data acquisition is completed you can convert that to excel file using report generation toolkit.

I just upgraded to Yosemite. Now when I try to open one particular document in Excel, I get a message that there's not enough memory. I can open other documents. The document I can't get to is the spreadsheet of my passwords. Go figure. When I check the storage under "about this Mac" it says I have 150 GB of 249 GB. I have a MacBook Air. Help please. Need help in getting measured data out into excel

I am trying to get the resistances of multiple thermistors out of the Keithley 2700 .
When a trigger is given, the data need to be measured and taken out.
Each and every time i press trigger , the resistance should be measured and taken out.
All the data obtained should be appended into a single excel file until i press "stop".
I have been trying to do this for a long time, still have not got the required result.
Please help me regarding this.
I am attaching my current VI, do help me by making the necessary changes.
Please. Its urgent.

Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0 exporting data from adobe data set into Excel

Hello - I am new to this, and have no IS support from my organization, so I am at your mercy.
I am trying to export the files within my adobe dataset created from Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0 into an Excel file. When I do this only 126 files are transferred. There doesn't seem to be any particular cut off or reason. For example last names a-p file entries #1-126, then cuts off at file entry #127 leaving the last half of the alpha q-z. I do have one friend is IS whom on his free time, looked into the program to see if there was a setting or something that only allowed a certain amount of space/files to be exported, but he couldn't find anything. His only thought was that my computer didn't have enough space, but I have 18.9GB of free space on the C:. Any sugesstions and or help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, ALR

I select all, click the Export Button, and it only gives me the option to save as a CVS Excel type file, sometimes it exports files, other times it wont, when it does, it only does 126 lines in Excel, then won't let me add any more with a second export attempt.

Can anybody give me any info about what is wrong.
I am using JDev 10.1.3.0.4 on SuSE Linux 10.1 with jdk 1.5.0.07

Turns out that tthis was due to a problem with the database listener, some intermittent problem maybe with the firewall. I noticed the TSN error further up inthe list of error messages. I was able to run the app with the detail in either facet and appear to have no problem dragging int he structure window.

Error when dragging from ftp into bridge

I just want to share this cautionary tale
When I drag a file from ftp into bridge I get the following message, "This operation is not permitted. Instead use restore." Then the file is deleted off the ftp site and not added to bridge. Which means I then have to call up the vendor and ask them to upload the file to ftp again because I "accidentally deleted it" - very embarrassing.
Has anyone else ever seen this? I've googled this and searched in the Adobe Support section with no results.
Windows Bridge CS3 (2.1.1.9) on XP. FTP was through windows explorer, but I've done it from an ftp app too.

acquiring photos from a flash memory card. Using drag-and-drop, the
difference between copy and move is all too slight, and if an error occurs
during a move ... well, you already know the answer.

When drag date hierarchy into excel, it list all years , is there anyway to suppress?
