I have had problems with my macbook for some time now. I go to update my software and it will search like it would normally. But it then says that i have the most up to date software, when i havnt updated my macbook in at least a year. What do i do because i cant even plug my iphone in to put music on or anything
To see what version of OS X you are running go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac.

My Ipad which has a capacity of 28.5 GB (and I have used less than 10), is telling me when I want to update the ios system that I have the latest version (which they say is 5.1.1). This is not true. Unfortunately yes, though technology would never move on if it kept to older standards and did not strive to do more.
The app store always gives you the option to use a previous version of the app IF it is available for your device.

My iphone 4 won't connect to my mac book, it says that I need to install to latest version of itunes 11.1. When I go to itunes and try to update, it says that I have the latest version (10.6.3). Can someone please help me!
thanksYou are probably running OS 10.4 or 10.5 on a PPC Mac. No version of iTunes higher than 10.6.3 is available for these older Macs. I have the same problem, and while I can still use the PPC to sync my iPod, it can't be used to sync an iPhone 4 or higher. The only solution, as I discovered after upgrading to the iPhone 4, is to buy a newer Mac. I was able to get a 2006 MacBook running Lion for under $300, and that has been a lifesaver.

Software, as in applications, maybe. Software as in Operating System, heck no. We're now at 10.8 level, you're two levels behind. Latest iPhoto, as in v9.3.2, is part of iLife'11 and needs a minimum of Lion 10.7 to run.
Since Mountain Lion 10.8 came out, Apple has dropped support for Snow Leopard 10.7, since they only maintain the latest two versions of the OS. So you will be seeing more and more of these "unupgradeable upgrades" in the coming days. -

"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done. -
MY hard drive crashed and I had to replace it. Now when I try to sync my iPod with iTunes it says that I have to replace the old library (that is lost forever) with the new library to sync. I do not want to lose all the songs on my iPod! What can I do?
Copy all the content on your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes. Then go ahead and sync the iPod with your new library.

If you are entering an Apple ID in Settings>iCloud which has not yet been used to create an iCloud account then the phone will attempt create a new account.
However the maximum number of iCloud accounts that any one device can create is limited to three - this is tied to the hardware and can't be bypassed. If you've already somehow created three iCloud accounts then you would have to create a new one on another Mac ior iOS device, and then you could sign into it on this phone. -

OK, well, seems like you need to lose the attitude if you really want help.
There are several ways to get music from iTunes on your computer to your device.
The easiest is to sync directly with iTunes by connecting your device to your computer, selecting the device, setting up your Profile pages, and then clicking the Sync button to sync.
First you want to open iTunes and under Preferences>Devices, make sure that you are not syncing automatically:
Make sure that box is checked.
Then follow the instructions in the article below for either your computer or your Mac to set up your Profile pages and to sync your music via iTunes:

You can also directly download music from iTunes to your device by going to the iTunes icon, going to "Purchased", and selecting the items that are not on your device that show a little cloud next to them. Click on the cloud and the music will download.
You might also want to familiarize yourself with your iPhone 5 manual. It has all the answers you cannot find on Google or by trying to just do it by brute force. If you would take a little time to read about your device and how to use it, you might not be so frustruated and unnecessarily snarky to people who are trying to help:

I have rented a moovie, but when I want to watch it on my Ipad, it says that I have already rented it and that I have to go to downloads to manage my downloads. I do not have such a file.
If you tap downloads, you should be able to see the progress of movie download.

Part of my weekend plan is to dive into my record collection for some serious listening / organization time. According to the Google Doc I have where I keep track of what vinyls I have... I'm up to almost 300. (And that's without cataloging for the past few months.) Somehow, over the past few years... records have become the thing that I have the most of in my life. When I log into ICloud.com on my computer, I do not see the photos icon. When I checked my general settings on my IPhone4S, it shows that I have PhotoStream turned on the ICloud. What am I doing wrong? When I had updated to the IOS 6 on my IPhone, I lost several of my pictures on the phone, but figured they would be on ICloud, but can't find any pictures. Help as I am not very tech savvy!
To use Find my iPad go to iCloud.com and sign in.
You cannot access this feature using the iCloud control panel.
