If not connected to WiFi or cellular data, iMessages will go as SMS. Also, if the receipent has iMessage turned off, or not connected to WiFi or cellular data, they will go as SMS.

The iPhone remembers information about previous contacts.
Complelely independently, you have a Contacts app with a contacts list. It sounds like your contacts list has 3 names on it. You need to add a few names.

Apple does not fix, they replace, and damage like that is not covered by warranty. An out of warranty replacement is US $229. You might want to consider purchasing a case.

Are you able to select the text in Word by triple-clicking inside the text box? (Sometimes text selections can be tricky in converted files.) If you can't select the text, then I'm guessing that the PDF was created from a scanned file (so the text becomes images). Make sure that OCR is enabled when you convert the file to Word. OCR is enabled by default in the ExportPDF web interface, but can be disabled in Adobe Reader. If you're converting to Word from within Adobe Reader, make sure that OCR is enabled and that the correct language is selected:

Are you running any A-V? If it's an iMac 21.5, I don't think you're running Leopard, 10.5. Probably at least Snow Leopard, 10.6. This is the Leopard forum.

Try a Safe Boot. Shift at the startup chime and expect a much longer time to boot. This will bring you to a login screen with "Safe Boot" in red.

ORA-04062: signature of package "APPS.GMD_FORMULA_DETAIL_PVT" has been changed.
Then according to Metalink Doc id: 374204.1, the solution is as follows:
Recompile all the GMD libraries and forms, then retest the issue
Can anybody suggest me how to recompile these libraries & forms? Is it using adadmin (Compile/Reload Database Entities Tasks) menu or not? Need help.

2. Generate form files

I dont really know what those numbers are but how do I stop them from attempting to get through my firewall and kick them out of my shared tab??? I did drop it from about 4 and a half foot during the reset so I don't know if that has broken it.

See if placing the iPod in Recovery mode will allo iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore it.
Next try DFU mode.

For the OP: Go to Settings > General > Auto-Lock and set it to your preferred time.
For you: Create a backup and restore the device as new and test it to see if it still gets very hot.
