When I try to open iTunes it says that the application can not be opened, that the required folder can not be found. On my husbands log-on iTunes will open. I am so confused. Please help!!!

Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) downloaded from the Apple Website:

After I tried to update my iPod 4 to iOS 5, my screen turned to the USB cord pointing to the iTunes symbol. When I try to restore it, it says that the 3014 error has occured. I went to check for support on iTunes and I did download the latest version of iTunes (11.1.1). I tried to restore it again and the same error occured. I dont understand half of the instructions for the resolution of the 3014 error code so I did the instructions that I understood and nothing has changed. Please tell me how I can fix it.

The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

If the backup is corrupt, there is nothing that can be done.
For what reason did you choose to not copy the pictures off the device to a computer prior to attemping an update or whatever caused the need to restore? iPhones are not intended as sole storage of any media.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

Why is iTunes repeatedly saying that the comp is not authorized to sync with my iPhone despite having repeated the steps to authorize it??

iTunes does not sync with my iPhone; saying that the comp has not been authorized to. It suggests that i authorized it by going to Store > Authorize This Computer. I did exactly that, and it still refuses to sync.
I'm not able to sync my music, videos, photos, etc as a result.
This occurred after i had synced my iPhone to another comp in another location recently.
Please help!

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I updated my Mac and then I lost access to my old iPhoto. It won't let me update the new one either and says that the update was issues to a different Apple ID. No other apple ID has ever been used on this computer....

After a recent update to the newest version of iOS (and a reset back to factory standards), i find that i cant put any of the apps from my iTunes library, back onto my phone!? When i try, it says that the apps location cant be found!? I tried going into the app store and in the app section going into 'Purchaces', in the hope that i could just re-install them from there (because i have already paid for them), but in there, it tells me that there are NO apps in my purchaces list!? Ican still put all my music on my phone through iTunes liuke normal, but Podcasts are doing the same thing as the apps?! Can someone please help me, or suggest what to do because im really getting frustrated. Got it sorted though. Seems that Apple has issues with multiple apple id's.
Seems i had to somehow remember and use the original id i had when i first bought my 1st iPhone. . . .
Even after that it was extremely hard to get my apps back on my PC.

You are probably running OS 10.4 or 10.5 on a PPC Mac. No version of iTunes higher than 10.6.3 is available for these older Macs. I have the same problem, and while I can still use the PPC to sync my iPod, it can't be used to sync an iPhone 4 or higher. The only solution, as I discovered after upgrading to the iPhone 4, is to buy a newer Mac. I was able to get a 2006 MacBook running Lion for under $300, and that has been a lifesaver.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)
