When I try to download Firefox for Android on my Epic 4G I get a message saying the item could not be found.
An update to quote mbrubeck:
Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android
Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.
Or, if you have a supported phone, you can download the app directly by typing this address into your phone's browser: http://bit.ly/fxbeta3
(Note: To download the app directly for an AT&T phone, you will have to search for instructions on "sideloading" the APK file, since AT&T disables the option to install from non-Market sources.) -
I also get a message that says the Apple Mobile Device Support cannot be removed.
then Itunes ends the installation due to errors.
These two files show up in the control panel and when I try to delete them it says they are on a network resource that is unavailable.(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get aCode 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Application Support entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, and Restart the PC. Try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

when i try to open excel in mac I receive a message that there is not enough memory. Why s this?
As Excel is not an Apple product, I believe you will get more useful help by using Microsoft's support community for Office:Mac here:
Office for Mac forums
They are as active and helpful as these, and sometimes employees from the MS Mac Business Group are available for helping.
Be sure to show which version of Office:Mac you have when posting there. It can make s difference in advice offered. -

What are you partitioning, and what are you partitioning it for? Also "my 2011 Mac" doesn't help... Say whether its an iMac, MacBook Pro, or Mac Mini.

I have Aperture3 and iPhoto. When I try send video clips as attachments, I get a message saying Quicktime can't open the .avi - why? Others couldn't open them so I sent them to myself and get the same message. Doesn't seem to be a size issue as I've tried with really short clips (4 seconds). As I recall, I didn't have this problem before buying Aperture last fall, when I only had iPhoto. It appears that by default, an attachment to an email automatically comes from my iPhoto files and not Aperture - assume that is supposed to happen but not sure. Thanks for any and all help!
JimWhen I try send video clips as attachments, I get a message saying Quicktime can't open the .avi - why?
How are you tryin to send the .AVI file? Are you sending the attachment directly from Mail or from Aperture or iPhoto? -
When I try to back up my Iphone, I get a message that My Iphone can not be backed up on my computer. My computer is authorized and I have been successful with this in the past. I uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled the lastest version and the same problem occurs.
If you are running Tiger, you don't have time machine.
You need to get something like SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner (sorry, I don't have a handy link for CCC but you can Google it to get their site) to make a clone of your drive on the external and then do incremental backups. The free versions do a lot and you can upgrade to the full-service versions for small change if you need more. The one time I used SuperDuper! for cloning a volume it worked just fine.
(My backup application is the last PPC capable version of Retrospect, which does a credible job, or has over the past ten-twelve years.) -

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

when I try to open my e-books I get a message saying it can't be done because the license key is damaged. How do I either fix this or get my money back. This is very frustrating and I will probably never buy an e-book again.
Go back to the earlier version 1.72 After wasting 2 days on the problem this solved it. This is thanks to another user - no thanks to Adobe.
