When import any sound needs render

Question

when i put video clip or a audio file only the red bar appear in timeline and the audio needs render... why?? i work in another program ang i have in timeline 8 channels and no render needed... so now only with 2 chanels and needs render???
can somebody help??!! thankx a lot :-p

Hi there,
As Shane says, the audio needs to be in the right format to avoid renders, you might find this software useful for future ref - "loader" from digital heaven theres a review here
