When Mozilla upgraded, it complained that my Adobe Flash Player also should be upgraded. The upgrade downloaded but no icon appeared, and when I found the EXE and ran it, only the Quit button in the dialog window was an active link, so I got nothing.
The Installation instructions allow for Firefox or IE. I have both, but the IE path was dead. The Firefox path said to use the icon on the desktop - but there is no such icon. The downloaded executable is there, but when I invoke it and read the license agreement, I still only have the dialog window with Quit and Install - however, only the Quit button is live.
1. There are two different versions of Flash. The ActiveX version for IE, and the Plugin version for Firefox and other browsers. You need to install both versions if you continue to use IE along with Firefox.
2. Did you close Firefox before attempting to install Flash? Did you download it to the Desktop, because it wouldn't end up there automatically with the default download settings in Firefox?
Tools > Downloads = does that download show in the Downloads window? <br />
If so, right-click on it and use '''Open Containing Folder'''. <br />
Does that downloaded file have '''-ax.exe''' at the end of the name of that file? <br />
If so, you got the ActiveX version and need to download it again. <br />
If not, close Firefox while keeping that "containing folder" open. <br />
Wait about 20 seconds and then try installing Flash.

I am so frustrated about Adobe Flash player. I can not play any Facebook games, open certain files and pictures and documents that I need to access because not only does this phone not do it but my old Palm Pre couldn't do it either. I have had so many times where I needed to access things either online or via email, or message that I can not even look at because of this. I have to wait until I for home or ask someone else to do it for me which is embarrassing. I rave about my iPhone 4S all the time because it is truly great except for this. When it use to happen with my Pal Pre I figures once I got my iPhone that it wouldn't happen anymore but I guess I was completely wrong. I have had this problem for years and always get a message saying that it's being worked on. Well a couple of years is a long time to work on it. I understand about contracts and stuff but why is it taking a company such as Apple to be able to get it for their products? I get a lot and always want to play the games on Facebook but I can't do it on most of them at least the ones I have tried. So I can not play against anyone at that time I have to wait until I get home or use someone else's computer or something. Please tell me that in the extremely near future that this will not be a problem anymore. PLEASE!! I am sure I am not the only one out there who is having issues and if you do get it available please let there be an upload/upgrade for current phones and not just for future versions of Apple phones. That just wouldnt be very fair to all of your loyal customers and tell everyone to get your products because they are great and end up leaving this little problem out until they by your phone. Especially if they just got the phone they have. You guys are awesome with technology I have faith that you can make this available to all Apple products old and new by uploads or upgrades. Thank you hopefully can give me some info about the status with this or if there wen is one. I would have thought that being a company such as you are that it would already be taking care of right from the beginning and not wait years to take care of somewhat that is very important ro have especially when there is so much our there using Adobe Flash now. I am not sure if this is just a blog with customers or if the company actually sees these posts but I am just hoping company or not that someone knows something about this. Whenever I try to use a web site that needs Adobe Flash Player, Firefox asks me to download it. When I download it and try again, it still asks me to download. When I access the same web site using Safari, I have no problem. This is true for many web sites - whichever ones require Adobe Flash Player.

This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
(1) If you have any recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media make sure they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.
(2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"

I use Articulate to create my player.html files. When I double click my player.html file I get a message that says Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. Then it shows me the name of a swf file in my files that is trying to communicate with the player.html. Then is say s to let this application communicate with the internet , click settings but that doesnt seem to help. I've tried clicking on all the tabs that are under the settings window that opens up but the problem persists
This is from my Mac, but it's the SAME on Windows.

I have had the same problem for WEEKS and I cannot access any sites that use Flash. Flash has been installed on this computer since I bought it in 2012. I have allowed auto updates but for weeks the updates never get past Step 2 - is this because I do NOT want the Google Tool bar? I use NO tool bars as there is only 6 inches of vertical screen space. Is this because I uncheck wanting Chrome as a default browser? It is already installed, I just don't use it. I came to this site and ran the check is it installed and the system says it is either not installed or not enabled. Version 14 just downloaded about 30 minutes ago - but did not progress to Step 3 although a pop up screen came up with a finish button, which I clicked. WHAT is the problem and how do I fix it? If this were just a compatibility bug between IE11 and Adobe they have had plenty of time to fix it.
