When send a soap to XI encounter a error -HTTP-client: status code = 401

The scenario is to send a soap request to SAP ERP through XI from legacy system A, ERP and return information back to the legacy system. we have encounter this issue after XI received the soap from legacy system A.
I have already done:
1. tested the JCO related RFC destination,
2. Check PIAPPLUSER has role SAP_XI_SERV_USER
3. refresh SXI_CACHE
4. ENSURE USER PIISUSER and PIAFUSER have the correct password
5. reset the password in exchange profile and ensure it is consistant with the password maintained in SU01, and restart the j2ee engine
however, we still encounter the same 401 issue.
Please kindly advice the approach to resolve this issue

Jack Lee

Hi,
you are getting this 401 error because either the username or password used for sending the SOAP req to XI system is not correct..........or the user is locked in XI system..........or the user is not having proper authorization XI_APPL_SERV_USER role to that userid..........
so just ask your SOAP aapplication guys which user they are using to send the SOAP req to XI - they should use some user to send the req and if they are not using any user, then also you will get this 401 user........so ask them to use a user of XI which you will give them having the proper authorization by asking your basis guys to do it.

    Upgraded to 5.4 when opening lightroom get a message "encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and need to quite" tried this several time but get the same error message.  Says Lightroom will attempt to fix the problem the next time it launches but that is not happening.  How do it fix this?

    Delete the preview cache using your operating system. It is a folder whose name ends with Previews.LRDATA. Do not delete the Lightroom catalog, which ends with .LRCAT

  • String index out of range: 0 error when sending to SOAP Receiver

    Hi experts,
    I have an interface
    IDOC -> XI -> SOAP
    Occasionally I will get this error message from RWB when sending to the SOAP service:
    Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: String index out of range: 0
    To trace the soap message, I sent the message through a TCPMonitor, the error does not occur anymore.
    Has anyone met with this problem before?
    How do I resolve this?
    Thanks!

    I did not do any substring in the mappings.
    The strange thing is, with the same message, I can re-send without any error if I send this message through the SOAP TCP Monitor.

  • SAAJServet error when sending a SOAP message on 10.1.2

    Hi,
    We have deployed a server application in OC4J 10.1.2 with a servlet listening for SOAP messages (SAAJ 1.2). If we use Standalone OC4J with SSL enabled and HTTPS communication between client app and server, it works fine, but when we move it to an Application Server environment where client goes HTTPS to the frontend HTTP_Server and then AJP to the OC4J, the following exception appears on the application.log:
    07/03/27 17:48:36 application/gpm-0.1: Servlet error

    Any ideas what can go wrong here, or where else to look?

    The standalone OC4J is 10.1.3, sorry. Nevertheless, we include all the libraries we use (saaj and dependencies) in the appliaction .ear archive that we deploy in both environments. May be a configuration issue?

  • HT204053 I have come across following error when accessing my icloud account " icloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server" please help...

    Please help with below error...
    I have been trying to access my icloud account in laptop with windows 7 operating, but I couldn't able to log in to icloud which show following error " icloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server".
    I have icloud icloud control panel.
    But I can access my same icloud account in another laptop with windows xp operating.

    My recommendation is to download Apple’s Safari version 5.1.7 for Windows to access iCloud.com. It consistently works for me!!!! To make things easier with Safari, I made iCloud.com its Homepage. I’m using it to access iCloud.com from all of my PCs.
    On my Windows 7 systems it appears that some add-ons are causing problems when you try to access iCloud.com with the 32-bit version of IE9, but the 64-bit version seems to work fine, more than likely because there are few add-ons that are 64-bit and the 64-bit version of IE9 can't be the default browser in Windows 7.

  • Need better info on error when sending a SOAP message - logger ALL

    Hi all!
    I am calling a UCM content server CheckIn WS from JDeveloper 11g 1.1.1.1.0 (jspx). I've used the WS Data Control and a WSDL for this, and have most of it down besided the CustomMetaData part.
    I need to pass in a value for one of the custom metadata fields and when i try to override the parameters of the operation to include it, i get this error - i doubt that this is all the info i get.
    I've tried setting the logger.xml levels to ALL (C:\oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\modules\oracle.odl_11.1.1\server_config\logging.xml) - nothing changed.

    primaryFile.put("fileName", uploadedFile.getFilename());
    operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("primaryFile", primaryFile);
    HashMap customMetadataPropertyRoom = new HashMap();

    HashMap customDocMetadata = new HashMap();
    customDocMetadata.put("property", customMetadataPropertyRoom);
    operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("CustomDocMetaData", customDocMetadata);
    The one with the fileContent and fileName works good since it's only one level deep, but it seems that i can't do the same logic with the 2 levels deep.
    *<CustomMetaData>*
    *<property>*
    <name>
    <value>
    </property>
    </CustomMetaData>
    Please help - i've did not get a minut of sleep and it's already 7 AM :((( It's not the first time i a having all nighters while doing JDeveloper...so little resources on line...
    I hope someone can help me out quickly since i am on a short deadline.
    Btw, i used the wizard and the wizard did not generate any stubs like the axis does, so i assume it's all integrated...

    Hi all!
    Just to post the solution to this if anyone ever runs accross this thread...
    For some reason i had it bad the first time, don't have time right now to see why but here is what worked for me:
    HashMap primaryFile = new HashMap();
    primaryFile.put("fileContent", bFile);
    primaryFile.put("fileName", uploadedFile.getFilename());
    operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("primaryFile", primaryFile);
    HashMap customDocMetadata = new HashMap();
    HashMap [] properties = new HashMap[1];
    HashMap customMetadataPropertyRoom = new HashMap();
    customMetadataPropertyRoom.put("name", "xRoom");
    customMetadataPropertyRoom.put("value", "SOME ROOM");
    properties[0] = customMetadataPropertyRoom;
    customDocMetadata.put("property", properties);
    operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("CustomDocMetaData", customDocMetadata);
    Basically an unbounded wsdl type is an array of objects (HashMaps), makes sense, i thought i had it like this before, must have messed up somewhere...
    Good luck all!

  • I keep getting an error when opening up my LR saying "Encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit."

    Help

    There might be some issue with the previews.
    You can try to delete the preview cache, while LR is not runnning. LR will build a new one on need or can manually start it from the library menu.

  • Communication error when sending PI message from Integration Engine to AE

    Hi Experts,

    Pandey,
    I think the url what you are using for creating the WSDL is wrong. It should be in the format:
    http://<host>:<j2ee-port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=<party>:<service>:<channel>
    If you use party use the above. If you dont have the party then use this:
    http://<host>:<j2ee-port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<service>:<channel>
    I think you are using http://hostname:50000/XISOAPAdapter/HelperServlet?action=FindChannel&channel=:service name:CommunicationChannel Name
    If it is yes then what you are using is wrong. Kindly use the one which I have given above. Also see the document for some on SOAP sender and receiver.

  • HTTP Error with Status code 403 when using ABAP Server Proxies

    Hi All,
    I have been working on ABAP Client and Server proxies in my project. The weblogs by Ravikumar, Prateek Shah,  Siva Maranani & VijayaKumari were very helpful and thank them all for just helpful and guiding postings.
    Interfaces using Client proxies are working fine and have been tested successfully. But I'm facing bit problems with Server Proxies. The scenario is of File to SAP system via XI. Data is coming correct up to Technical routing in pipeline but at call adapter(for Server Proxy to SAP)in XI pipeline I receive Error:
    HTTP response contains status code 403 with the description Business Server Page (BSP) Error Error when sending by HTTP (error code: 403, error text: Business Server Page (BSP) Error)
    Previously I was receiving authentication and authorization related error of status code 401 and then in communication channel I replaced user profile with a user id having role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER. The basis peron has created new user id with role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER  only and that I'm using. I've tried creating a HTTP destination with the created user id and in test connection too receive same error message.
    Please help me out with your inputs and understanding on the topic.
    Thanks and Best Regards
    Prashant Rajani

    Hi,
    Please cross check the URL that you are giving in Proposed URL option wihile you are generating the WSDL.
    Type the URL that you are using as i mentioned in above in Intenet Explorer and press Enter. This should give Message servelet ok.
    Then clear CPA Cache and test your scenario, it will work ( Provided you should fill SOAP Adatpter parameters correctly in ID).
    Thanks
