When working in a document how do I switch pages around?

Hi,
I am working on a document and want to switch pages around  how do I do that?
Thanks
Debbie

Debbie ~ Perhaps the reason you haven't received a reply to your question after several days is that you haven't said which application you're using for your document. ...TextEdit? ...Pages from iWork?

  • InDesign crashing when working on a document

    Hi all,
I am using CS6 and Windows 7. I have used Photoshop for a while with no problem but am just starting to use InDesign and it keeps crashing. I can insert images and text and save a document but crashes occur when working on a document -  most often when using the selection tool =
I get these two messages during startup so are these relevant to the crashing or any other ideas please?

@  Michael Witherell thanks for your reply. My InDesign is up to date in Help / Updates (if that is what you mean by the patch) and yes I have reset the preferences but the problem is the same - touching the select tool is enough to cause a crash. While  searching on InDesign crashing I saw a suggestion to create a new user in Windows. I don't want to speak too soon but this seems to fix the problem - with my regular Windows user (in which I do everything inlcluding CS6 Photoshop) and with no other programs running, using the select tool (for example) immediately causes InDesign to crash but with the new user it seems so far that I can use the select tool - move stuff around - with no crashing so far. Does that give any clue to what the problem is?
    Thanks...

  • HT5534 How can I switch pages in the document?

How can I move pages between them. For example: Page number 10 is placed between page 4 and 5? And if I do not need a page, how can I remove it?
    Sincerely,
    Adam.

You just gave two versions which one do you want to do this in?
You can largely forget it in Pages 5.01.
If you divide your document with Section Breaks in Pages '09, you can simply drag the thumbnails into place.

  • When you preorder the iphone5, how do you switch your existing number to that phone?

I have an ATT iphone4 now. If I preorder the iphone5 tomorrow via Apple.com, how do I switch the phonenumber from old phone to new phone once I get it in hand?

When ordering you will provide your cell phone number and AT&T account info.   When you receive the iPhone and activate it, it will take over that phone number.

  • When creating users in apex, how can i limit pages depending  the user?

    Hi,
1.When creating users in apex, how can i limit every user in the pages he can run or see depending on the user profile ?
2.Are the user that is created in apex also a user in DB ?
    Thanks in advance
    Yoel

    Yoel -
We're talking about end users of applications you develop in Application Express, not users that login to the development environment.
You do not have to use Application Express to create user accounts for your application. Your apps can authenticate using SSO, LDAP, or other methods. If you use Application Express user accounts, that is only for convenience which may not be convenient in the long run if you have to manage those accounts, but that's up to you.
These Application Express accounts have no relation to database accounts. This situation is slightly different when using the XE database.
Your application's authorization logic determines which users can access the application, pages, or other components, that is, it is not the user account properties, per se, that control application access but rather the application's determination about the properties of the authenticated account in use that allow it to control access. For example, you don't create an account and give it attributes that say this user can access application ABC and pages 1,2, and 7. Instead, you might give that account properties like SALES MANAGER ROLE and the the application would allow only users with SALES MANAGER ROLE (whatever that means) to access certain pages.

  • How do i move pages around in my pages document??

I have done an assignment  through iwork on pages and i would like to move the pages around into order?? Can someone please help me??

    Roisin,
I'll assume that you have a normal Word Processing template document. The answer also depends on whether there is any Floating object content mixed in with the text. We'll assume not.
Set the cursor to the end of the previous page's content, then scroll without moving the content to the end of the page you wish to move. Now Shift-Click at the end of the page to select the entire page and Command-X.
Now set the Text Insertion cursor at the end of the page just above where you want to drop the content you Cut and Command-V.

  • How can I switch pages?

I already returned my Nano (6) same day I received it because I couldn't use the touchscreen at all.  I tried residing and reloading songs, but to no avail.  Support authorized a return at which time they performed diagnostics and found nothing wrong and returned to me very promptly.  Now, my finger inputs work on each screen, but I still can't switch (flip) pages.  I must turn off unit and reset to homepage.  Does anybody have this problem?

  • When creating a new document, how do I designate an AA  cover master and BB back page master?

I am starting a new document with CS-5 that is a pamphlet with different header and footers on the cover page, back page and internal pages. How do I designate the AA cover page, BB back page and internal A Master pages in the page menu?

After retiring from Sikorsky Aircraft as a design and development engineer for over 42 years, I volunteered to design and edit the Sikorsky Archive
Newsletters, which we upload to our website at www.Sikorskyarchives.com .
That is so cool. When I was 13 years old, you had my dream job
I use this arrangement during the writing phase due to the ease of going from each page in numerical sequence. I can then print a PDF in numerical sequence for editing purposes. However, the printing facilities we use requires a 9 page 5 spread layout so that he can print the 8 page document properly. I cannot figure out how to get an in-line single page PDF for easily editing and correcting from the printing format. Any simple procedure for converting from one format to the other without loosing any of the final data would be most helpful, and sure increase my old brain functioning capability
Well, usually when InDesign forum regulars hear something like this, they say "Imposition is the printer's job." I don't know if you are printing in-house, or if you're handing this off to a commercial printer. From your phrase "printing facilities we use" I'm guessing that you're printing it yourself. The way that I'd do this if I was going to print the booklet myself is: I'd design in "reading order" (1, 2, 3, 4... 8) and then use File -> Print Booklet to make a PDF that was set up correctly to be printed & folded with correct pagination (1, 8, 2, 7...). The output you get from Print Booklet is PDF only, so you keep your editable InDesign document in reading order, but your PDF is set up in booklet-printing order. (You can always export a PDF from InDesign if you want a PDF in reading order.)
There are other solutions if you need more flexibility, but this is the solution that leapt out at me.

  • How can I change the background colour when working on a doc in full screen view (pages)?

Recently I have been working on docs without the distraction of having to see my desktop around my page file by using the full screen view in pages. I do find the contrast to an all black screen too harsh though and it makes my eyes more tired than seeing the clutter of my desktop around the page. Is there any way I can change the background colour?
    Any help much appreciated!

When you are in Full screen mode move the cursor up to the top to show the Format bar. Then look to the far right. There you'll see Background  and a rectangle. Click on the rectangle and change the colour.

  • When viewing a pdf document how do I change the default or pre-set magnification?

Anytime I am directed to a pdf document by a website it opens the pdf file at 173% magnification. It tells you to open the menu to change the pre-set magnification, but I don't see a menu to open.

Maybe you did not include enough information in your question or your question was not specific enough since your reply indicates that you have already asked the question and have received an unsatisfactory answer. Please attach a screen shot demonstrating the magnification. Also include written information about where you are seeing the 173% or other magnification value that you are seeing on the image that you attach.

  • When I try to 'print booklet' InDesign responds "The active document uses multiple page sizes. Print Booklet works only with documents that use a consisten page size." But Document Setup shows that Page Size is Letter (8.5 x 11)

All text and graphics appear within the constraints of the margins. All pages show the same size according to the rulers.

Let me confess I do not understand the workings of the master pages. I had to create master pages from my document to get them to show up. I have a [none] master that shows up, the rest are my content.
Here's a screen cap of my pages panel:
