I can't upgrade to Yosemite, keep getting an error message when I try to download from the app store. Have check reqs and have them all.

When trying to download from the app store I keep getting an error message saying "this version of OSX 10.10 cannot be installed on this computer"; however, when checking the requirements I have them all.

Downloading from the apple store. invalid address?

I am trying to download some games from the Apple store but everytime I click on Apple Store it says "To continue I need to upgrad to the lastest versions of IOS and the Apple Store app. So I click upgrade. Then it says Cannot open page : "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid." What can I do to correct this?

If you are downoading/purchasing the the apps on the iPod you have to update the iPod if you iPod can be updated

You keep changing your Password? Have you done this from Settings > Store, tap your Apple ID, then sign out and sing in using the right ID and Password.

My iPhone 4 from the Apple store. Now changing provider and it appears locked. Should it be?

I bought my iPhone 4 from an Apple store a couple of years ago and understood it to be unlocked. Now I am changing provider and it appears to be locked. I have tried the new SIM card with other phones and it is okay. Originally I was with Vodafone and have recently moved to GiffGaff as I reached the end of my contract. The iPhone won't start up instead it says "Only compatible SIM cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier's store to receive a replacement SIM card."Although my number has been ported across I place the old SIM back in the iPhone and it starts up. Can anyone offer any advice?

If you are in UK
Apple sell unlocked but they will also sell an iPhone with a contract
especially back in iPhone 4 days
If you purchased fron an Apple Retail store ( Apple owned) and paid
full price it should be unlocked as your Apple receipt should show
If not , it is locked but (if in UK ) Vodafone do offer unlocking .
Do a deep search of their site and you will find guidance not easy to find

Check the Sound system preferences. If the volume is turned up and the Mute checkbox is not marked, you don't have anything plugged into the headphone/output jack, and testing the Alert Volume on the Sound Effects pane doesn't generate a tone, then the technician may have failed to properly reconnect the speakers and you'll have to take the Mac back to the Apple Store. First, though, try resetting the PRAM:

I bought just my iPod touch and wanted to download some apps. I connected my iPod and it asked me to register, I did but didnt put it to my apple account (I think there is the problem). Now I wanted to download some FREE apps but it says I need to log in, so i did with my (never buying something) account.
It said it wasnt an iStore account and it had to, so i was reffered to the registration page were i only had to add some bank info. I DONT HAVE VISA ETC.. So, now I cant download FREE apps.. =( :'(

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical. Note as well that this only applies to the App Store; to the best of my knowledge, you will not be able to get any of the free content in the iTunes Store without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.) This also seems to come and go, or only apply to App Stores in specific countries, so you may not see the option for "None" when asked for a payment type. If there is no "none", then you won't be able to open an account without a credit card or iTunes prepaid card.

New iPhone 6 from the Apple Store came with a contact and bookmarks already on it

I purchased an iPhone 6, new, from a brick and mortar Apple Store. However, when I powered it on and before I used it at all, I found that Safari already had entries in its "Reading List." Additionally, it already had a browser history, mostly to Chinese websites. I also found a single contact in the Contacts app under a Chinese name, with a phone number that has a local area code. Did Apple sell me a used iPhone as new? And are there any security concerns with using this phone? Thanks guys.

Yes, take it back. And do so within 14 days. The store is obliged to explain what you have found and if you are not satisfied they should exchange the phone under the normal terms under which you make an Apple purchase. No questions asked, I believe the phrase is,

Xcode download from the app store trashed by development environment and I cannot recover by downloading again

I downloaded xcode and it trashed my development environment.
I had previously installed an earlier version.
My purchased apps page does not list XCODE. However, If I go to the XCODE download page in the App, it lists it as installed.

WHAT I AM HEARING, LION OS CAN ONLY BE OBTAINED FROM THE APPLE STORE, HOW DO YOU OBTAIN A BOOT DISK?

I understand Lion OS is downloaded from the Apple store and a hard copy is not available. Then how do you create a boot disk?

You cannot require deep-linked applications from the app store. To make them required, you must have the source files and deploy from your cloud DP. Otherwise, available is your only option.
