Where are screenshots going to?

I need to take a picture of a conformation (no I don't have a working printer :P) and I did a screenshot (CommandControl+Shift3) and it makes the camera sound, but the images don't appear on my Desktop or my Pictures folder. Where are they going?! Please help

With the Control key pressed, they're going to the Clipboard. Without it pressed, they're put on the desktop.

I was looking at one of the posts to some fixed bugs and one of the forum users had asked about a recently fixed bug and when and where it would be fixed. I'm not sure if the person who had responded was with sun or not but he mentioned it would be available in the new Enterprise product. My question is that I sure hope that some of these bugs in the EJB builder are release also as fixes to the Studio Standard product. Recently Sun had release the Update 2 and this fixed a major problem with S1S5. We have a product that has over 120 CMP beans alone and we were unable to build this under S1S5. It built and deployed under 4 but not 5. We can not build under 5. But, there is still a major bug, that Is shown as fixed, that has to do with cmp modules and app modules. We build the cmp modules we have, session modules etc. Then select the app to deploy. It takes about 10 min for the ide to even respond then when you export the ear it tires to build the cmp stuff again and we get errors about all the business methods that are for cmr's. and it fails to build the ear. There is a reported bug, I think that has to do with this and a caching mechanism that is the problem. It is reported as fixed. I sure hope this is released for S1S5 because I hate to spend another $1000 just to get some bugs fixed for a product I already own. There are also many bugs that are related to the EJB builder and CMP that pop up their ugly head when we have to go in and modify our CMP stuff. Like adding a CMP field to a bean, modifying a CMR or anything like that. The latest update helps allot but it did not fix some very annoying bugs. Our problem is that the application is very large and with this many beans just bulding takes some time. Like I said it takes the IDE over 10 min to respond to be able to export the ear. Now if I spend all this time building the modules etc then wait for this selection of the App and try to export the ear and it fails. I have just wasted about 20 min of my time. Then I have to go through the process again from scratch. I found that it helps to then delete all the .nbattrs files, then do the build again. I have not been able to narrow down a specific, every time reproduceable situation. Sometimes it builds just fine. Most of the time it does not. But anyway. I really want the product I own to work and work well. EJB and J2EE are for enterprises. How does sun expect their products to be used in enterprises if it does not work on large applications! The last update was a good one. I hope the fixes continue for S1S5 even with the new enterprise product being close to release.
Also, I had had suggested that Sun be more forthcoming about their products and releases by posting a roadmap of new features, fixes etc and the schedules. Sun has claimed ot be a supporter of open source etc, and I understand the the S1S product is not fully open source but I hope they improve their communications with the development community. The forums are great and a good source to find out the problem you have are officially bugs but when are they going to be fixed. What versions are going to have the fix. What new features are in the next release. Lot of question like this I wonder about every day in my business. I have been pushing sun products to our clients because I think the company is a great company and I love Java but without communications about big issues like, "what product will support the lates App Server 8 and when" I have no idea about what to tell our clients we are building apps for and what to suggest as far as platforms etc for the future.

We do not have plans to make patches available for 2.0 beta.

Are you tapping any of the icons at the of the Mail app after opening them, or do they disappear without you doing anything ? And if you have more than one account on the iPad, does it happen on your other accounts as well ?

HT201401 My pictures are not showing up in my camera roll after I take them, where are they going?

My photos are not showing up in my photo stream after I take them, what could be wrong? Brand new phone, camera is working, older photos from cloud are there but not new ones that I am taking.

Reset the iPhone then take a photo. See if it shows up in the camra roll.
If not, reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then try a photo.

HTMLDB - wher are we going ?

I am now being faced with a management question, hoping you'll have the answer.
I have co-developpers who are using Oracle Forms, reports , Disco etc. , I have been working on getting them on borad the HTMLDB wave. A lot of them are wondeing about the fate of HTMLDB as a product ( probably afraid they might see something similar to what happened to WEBDB) . Do you have something that has been released publicly that states the aims aodn objectives of HTMLDB as a product ? Ie what is the direction os this product ? What is the release/patch cycle like. I know we are on version 1.5 now. What will version 2 bring ?
Will HTMLDB remain free?
Is it mandated to replace some of your Web development tools. ? Which ones ? Forms ? Reports ?
Users here are keen to have aneasy-to-use tool but yet they are not ready to convert work they have done overthe years on Oracle Forms and reports- Some of the new projects that come up here have no choice but to persist in using Forms & Reports - The switch to HTMLDB is not that easy ...
Hope you can help me produce some form of documentation? white paper? etc to management to help them decide if HTML DB is the way to go.

Personal opinion and experience:
Our company are using various technologies to develop
web app: LAMP(Linux-Apache-Mysql-PHP), ColdFusion,
Miva. The arctecture are similar: use Apache as web server, use their own module to interpret custom program--
.PHP, .MVC, .CF AND use a "database" as store: Mysql for
PHP and Coldfusion,Dbase for Miva. The price: $0 to $999.
Now Look HTMLDB: Apache as the webserver, Mod PL/SQL as
its own module, Oracle as the store. The Price: $20000 per processor. For a shop which is not interested in
any technology debate, like which database is the best,
only interested to make a Quick web app ( most of
our clients don't care about underneath tech), $20000
is a steep price to pay. So Oracle should market HtmlDB
as a Web-Application server, much like Miva, not a
database server, sells a price like $999 per machine(
even per domian like Miva). Of course, Oracle should
make sure the customer is using HtmlDB, not as geneeral
Database server, to do that Oracle can shrink-pack DB
server without lot of access interface. i.e ,
SQLPLUS disabled, OCI disabled, ProC disabled, JDBC,
ODBC disabled. make sure access is only from Apache
webserver on the machine and use Mod PL/SQL to access
data, so Netserver can be disabled. also pack everything HtmlDB needs in a single CD and make much simple installtion ( no need to choose component options,
configure Listener......), just like Miva, do a mouse
click and installtion finished. ( to combat violation,
Miva uses a very dirty trick: each time to use
admin page, the server needs send local domain info
to Miva license server for verification)...... Just make
a single CD so the average joe doesn't need understand
Tablespace, Oracle Instance, SGA...... Then Oracle
may be able to sell Millions of Htmldb Copy.......

Where are the Download Excel Files going?

Safari 6 seems to download Excel files as requested from a web site but they do not appear anywhere in the Download Folder I have specified. The site successfully downloaded the files before I upgraded to Safari 6. I now have to switch to Firefox to download these files. Where are they going?

Where are PAR and MPEG folders going?

Hello:
When I used to use DVD SP 2, I'd get the PAR folder every time after I import a file and/or MPEG folder generated when I imported relevant video/stills...now with DVD SP 4, when I do the same thing I don't see any such folders being generated...where are they going; does SP 4 somehow place these automatically somewhere? I even did a FIND search at finder level but no such folders were found...

have a look in your preferences under 'Destinations', and use the drop down box to show you MPEG Parsing... you should then get to see where it is being placed.

My sent messages are not going in my sent folder... Why not?

You do not say whether you are using a standard Pop account using it's own folders Or a Pop mail account using Global Inbox(Local Folders) OR whether this is an IMAP mail account?
So the answer depends on your setup:
'Tools' > 'Account Settings' > 'Copies & Folders' for the mail account.
* Select: 'Place a copy in'
If Pop mail account using own folders:
* Select : 'Sent' folder on and pop mail account
If Pop mail account using Global Inbox(Local Folders):
* Select : 'Sent' folder on and Local Folders.
If IMAP mail account:
* Select : 'Other' and then choose the Sent folder on imap mail account.
* Note: that sometimes the 'Sent' folder on server may be called something similar eg: 'Sent Items'
Click on OK.

I suggest you simply copy your entire User folder from old computer to new computer. This way all your data (Music, photos, contacts, emails, calendars, documents, etc.) goes across.

To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step.

In Finder, enter the name of something you downloaded. Once located, that should indicate where the item is stored.

I figured it out. You go to settings, privacy, then photos and activate the app your trying to save photos from.
