My account's balance shows at the top left of the store's page on my computer's iTunes, and by logging in to view my account via the Store > View Account menu option. On my devices it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > iTunes & App Stores and it should show on the screen that you are taken to)

If the value of the card isn't printed on it and you don't have the purchase receipt, the only way to determine the value of the card is by redeeming it. If you have already redeemed it, then the card is now valueless. The credit balance is carried in your iTunes Store account and will be displayed in iTunes next to your Apple ID when you're signed into the iTunes Store, or on an iOS device at the bottom of the screen in the App Store or iTunes Store apps.

Where can I find the equivalent tools in Photoshop that are in the develop module of Lightroom? For example I would like to use the shadow, clarity, lens correction and such tools but cannot find them in Photoshop.

The obvious or not so obvious first. Depending on your knowledge. When you open a tiff, jpg, or camera' raw format they can be opened in Adobe Camera raw first which has identicle controls to lightroom's develop module.
Starting with I beleive CS5 maybe 4, some of the tools made their way into photoshop it self. Take a look at the camera lens filter, the Image>Adjustment menu or the adjustment layers which now support vibrance for example.

The difference in performance between running a Vid Card a 4X for 8X is about 3%, or nothing to the naked eye. The Bandwidth for 4X is now just barely being used up, which is why there is no change in performance.
4X AGP cards had their production runs stop about 4 years ago, you are not going to see any on the market. The price difference between 4X and 8X AGP is 0 anyway, so it does not matter.

Force quit Google Earth if it is open. Then, if there is a copy of Google Earth in your Applications folder, drag the Google Earth on your desktop to the trash. Don't empty the trash yet.
Open the Google Earth from the one in the Applications folder. If this is the first time you used it from the Applications folder, you might get the message, "this is an appliaction you downloaded from the internet. Do you want to open it?" Open it, let load completely, quit it, and open it again. The message should not reappear.
Now empty the trash.
Restart your computer. Does Google Earth reappear on your desktop? If so, there is probably a LaunchAgent for it in your Macintosh HD> Users> your user name> Library> LaunchAgents folder. You can remove it. It could be under the Macintosh HD> Library> LaunchAgents or Launch Daemons or StartupItems folders.
I can't remember exactly where it was, but I hated it appearing on my desktop, and I removed from one or more of these locations.

You can check your account balance by opening iTunes, and doing Store > View Account from iTunes' menu.
There is a row there saying "Apple ID Balance".

There is no way to use an Apple Store gift card on the iTunes Store. If you want, you can contact iTunes Support at http://apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html and see if they will let you exchange it.

II'm not aware of any comprehensive list. However you can get the education price at any Apple store or online by showing proof that you are an enrolled student.
