Where can I find RunState.Caller.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber?

Hi guys,
I was looking at an example with RunState.Caller.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber. The example compares a scanned serial numbers format to pass/fail.
But I dont understand this RunState.Caller.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber variable. Where it come from?

Hi
RunState.Caller means that it comes from the calling Sequence
and RunstateCaller.Locals means that you are a accessing the "Local" Variables of this Sequence
Hope this helps

• Passing a string from c# to RunState.Root.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber at NI

HI all,
How can I pass a variable content as a string in c# to the sequence variable named as RunState.Root.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber.
The main gold is to pass the string value from textbox in c# GUI to the sequence parameters.
Tnx

Hi
there a serveral ways to do this task. But you should do it in that way Norbert_B has descriped by using UserInterface Messages.
In general, TestStand is not only one process. Your UI is another process. You have to share information over processes.
The recommed way for doing this here is fireing UI messages. From TestStand execution you send a message to your UI. Once you have received this message in your UI, you can get a handle to the current sequnceContext were you are able to set your UUT number.
I am pretty sure that Norbert can explain this more in detail. :-) because i am out of time now.

• RunState.Caller.Locals.ReportOptions.Directory unknown in Teststand 2013

Hello,
I have a problem due to migration between TestStand 4.1.2 and TestStand 2013.
In previous sequences I used the variables: RunState.Caller.Locals.ReportOptions.Directory, RunState.Caller.Locals.StartDate.Text, RunState.Caller.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber, RunState.Caller.Locals.ReportFilePath and others... without problem.
Now in TestStand 2013, the variables cannot be evaluated , generates an Teststand error and thus I cannot personnalize my report name and directory.
Hereafter the complete expression that cause problems:
RunState.Caller.Locals.ReportOptions.Directory=FileGlobals.Report_Directory + "\\" + RunState.Caller.Locals.StartDate.Text + "\\" + RunState.Caller.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber ,
RunState.Caller.Locals.ReportFilePath=FileGlobals.Report_Directory + "\\" + RunState.Caller.Locals.StartDate.Text + "\\" + RunState.Caller.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber + "\\" + "Report ["+ RunState.Caller.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber +"][" + Str(RunState.Caller.Locals.StartTime.Hours) +" "+ Str(RunState.Caller.Locals.StartTime.Minutes) +" "+ Str(RunState.Caller.Locals.StartTime.Seconds) + "]" + ".html",
FileGlobals.UUT_Time = "[" + RunState.Caller.Locals.UUT.SerialNumber+"][" + Str(RunState.Caller.Locals.StartTime.Hours) +" "+ Str(RunState.Caller.Locals.StartTime.Minutes) +" "+ Str(RunState.Caller.Locals.StartTime.Seconds) + "]" , FileGlobals.fileDir=RunState.Caller.Locals.ReportOptions.Directory
Thanks for your help.

If you using these expressions to set the report path and directory, then, do consider using TestStand expression to specify the report path in Report Options dialog. Its lot easier to use compared to setting values to subproperties of Runstate.Caller.Locals.ReportOptions variable.

Coming to your error, please provide more information regarding which sequence file and sequence did you modify.
Also note that, in TestStand 2012, process models had major change to support plug-in architecture. Process models without the plug-in architecture (like the one used in TestStand 4.1.2) is installed in "<TestStand>\Components\Models\TestStandModels\TestStand 2010 Process Models (Legacy)" directory. If you want to migrate your process model changes, it might be valid to update the legacy process models instead of new models.

When I click "about this mac" to check on my storage, I get a number of different sections music, movies, etc. but also I get a section called backups, where can I find the files in this section?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
All the storage in "Backups" is taken up by local snapshots, which are made automatically in all MacBooks, MacBooks Pro and MacBooks Air with OS X Lion or newer and Time Machine turned on.
See > http://pondini.org/TM/30.html I recommend you to leave them there, because they will be removed automatically. However, if you want, you can disable or remove them manually if you want, even if there's no reason to do this. Have a look at the link above for more information

Just purchased Mac Book,   VERY  new to Mac world,   "ouch",,  I am looking to design my own website,,  is there a program built in that will allow this,  if so,, what is it called, and where can I find it???   Thanks,

There are many ways and applications that you can use to build a web site. Which will be best for you will depend on the site you want to build and your level of expertise. Many experienced web developers just use a text editor, often one with specialized features for web programming (BBEdit, for example), but there are programs that can offer additional help, up to and including "drag and drop". Without knowing more about your needs, it's difficult to offer specific advice, but here are some possibilities:
iWeb - came with your Mac. Easy to build but rather limiting in what you can do.
RapidWeaver - more flexible and capable than iWeb but harder to use; sort of an "inbetweener" application
Dreamweaver - powerful but expensive and a steep learning curve
There are of course a number of other options. If you can provide more detail about what you wish to build and your level of experience, someone can probably make more targeted recommendations.
Regards.

You can get all the PDF and Online Help files from the below link :

And yes, you can call the Local Help by pressing the F1 key but for that you need to have Adobe Help Manager(AIR application) installed.
Open Adobe Help Manager->Go To General Settings->Select "Yes" under Display Local Help Content onlyand hit done.
Launch CS6 application->Press F1 and it should open the pdf file instead of online help.

Basically ive read tht you can not skip any updates, is this right? I know 10.6 is the next step up upgrade wise, and i cant seem to find it on the internet anywhere? Pls help me.  Can i skip 10.6 and upgrade higher right away or wht?  Wht do i need to do and where can i find the updates?

• Where can I find the no-no list?

As I am learning more and more about app development, it seems a lot of time can be wasted if you don't follow the rules Apple has set forth. I find post here and there about what not to do, such as using private API's, and tried searching in the Dev Center for something. As I learn I want to learn the, your app has more chance of not being rejected way, where can I find the "no-no" list Apple has?

The obvious document would be the App Store Review Guidelines for iOS and OSX.
iOS: https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/
Mac (OSX): https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/mac/
Note that iOS apps can only be distributed via the App Store while OSX apps can be distributed directly by the developer.
Creating a non-App Store app in OSX has several advantages and disadvantages:
The App Store handles a number of practical issues for you: like setting up a download page and processing payments. It also (supposedly) gives you access to a larger customer base and is the "default" location for getting apps that Apple pushes new users to. The App Store is also more convenient when re-downloading apps, safer and more convenient as users don't have to keep track of activation codes for purchased apps.
You don't need to sandbox your app, this is helpful for certain apps that need to access data from other apps or needed to call other apps e.g. via AppleScript.
You can use private APIs, although this is generally not recommended as these classes are not documented and may change/disappear between OS releases. But poking around in private APIs and other internals may sometimes be the only way to access certain information or to get certain features.
Not being a App Store app will also mean that you can't use certain APIs - I think that iCloud is one of these.

• Where can I find a guide to all the options and settings available via the "about:" pseudo-URL? (Using FF 3.6.8)

When I last used Firefox support, several years ago, I saw mention of a long list of options and settings available, using a kind of local URL, beginning with "about:". I can't find it now. The text "forums" that I saw then seem to have disappeared and been replaced by support for dummies who might be frightened if they saw a page containing more than just a tiny amount of information.
The question is: where can I find this guide, listing all the available options and settings so that I can make my own decisions?

I must have forgotten; it wasn't exactly FF support, but Mozillazine. '''Thank you for the pointer'''. The "long list" I was thinking of was in fact about:config, which is pointed to by that page.
Given all that, I think it should be easier to find Mozillazine from the FireFox support pages.

• Where can I find a documentation about RRX_GRID_CMD_PROCESS and RRX1 fm?

In fm RRX_GRID_CMD_PROCESS there several parameters: where can I find a documentation (tutorial, examples, references, manuals, books or others) about it?
And, in general, about the RRX1 funtion modules?

Hello.  Not sure this will help you much, but figured I would give you my thoughts.  I have never seen official documentation on SAP FMs.  For me, it's been a matter of figuring what is there and how they work, as needed.
Mainly, I would just look at the source code to get an idea of what the FM is doing.  Then also find where the FM is being called from other programs/FMs.  That would give you an idea of how other processes are utilizing the FM as well as what they are passing and how they are handling the returned data.
Maybe others know if actual documentation, but I have never seen it and usually just figure them out as mentioned above.
Thanks

• Where can I find OS 10.4.11 to install to my old PowerBook G4?

Hello.
I have an old Powerbook G4 on which I had installed OS 10.4.11,
but I can't seem to find the cd to reinstall. It is running a bit slow as it has been many years, and I wanted to format the hard drive and reinstall the same OS.
I also have Mac OS leopard, but i think it might be too heavy for this old machine.
1. What is the latest OS I can put on this powerbook so that it still runs smoothly?
2. If i want to install 10.4.11 where can I find it?

Tiger install DVDs are in short supply. Tiger is no longer available at the Apple Store *but may be available for $129 by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753)*. For other sources, do a Google search for MA453Z/A (10.4.6), MA190Z/A (10.4.3) and M9639Z/A (10.4) . Also look on eBay. Be sure & buy a retail version (black with silver X) <img src="http://www.macmaps.com/tiger.jpg"> and not a model specific version (gray) (See <b><a href=" http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1976068" target="new"> Can I use another Mac's system restore disc on my Mac?</a></b> ). Expect to pay (possibly a lot) more than the Apple list price of $129.

I'm using 10.6.8 but would like to use iCloud so need to upgrade to 10.7.4 but need to install 10.7 before I can upgrade to 10.7.4.  Where can I find 10.7.0?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
The latest OS X version is OS X 10.8.3, so first check that you can use OS X Mountain Lion. First, check that your Mac supports Mountain Lion > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs If it's compatible, open the App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. While it's being downloaded, make a backup of your files and check that your apps are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com
When the download finishes, the OS X installer will appear, so follow the steps. After upgrading, you will have 10.8.3.
If your Mac isn't compatible with Mountain Lion, check that you can run Lion > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4949 If you can run OS X Lion, call Apple to purchase it > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 After upgrading to Lion, you will have 10.7.5.
To set up iCloud after upgrading, open System Preferences > iCloud. Read > http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup
