Where do I send a phishing email claiming to be from Adobe?

I read to report any suspicious emails to customer support but I don't see an email address to send the email I received as follows...

> Adobe, le logo Adobe, Acrobat, le logo Adobe PDF et Reader sont des marques deposees ou des marques commerciales
> d'Adobe Systems Incorporated aux Etas-Unis et dans les autres pays. http://www.adobe.com/
Although the email address is not mine I want to report it to be investigated. There's an attachment but I'm not opening it, it's a zipped folder. Thank you for your time and help.

I think you are right to be suspicious of this email. There is every chance that the attachment is infected and you should not open it.
However
1. It does not seem to be a Phishing email at all. There is no invitation to login, to send personal details, or to do anything else related to phishing.
2. The email does not say it is from Adobe, or in any way connected with Adobe. It does not impersonate Adobe email addresses, it uses hotmail addresses. It just says there is a PDF, and has typical text about how to get Adobe Reader.
Not sure why you think Adobe would be interested in this.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • URGENT - Are these emails claiming to be from BT B...

Hello. I've just had two emails that I think could be fake:
    (1) Last night at 22:54.
From bt.ipsip.co.uk Subject "Your latest BT bill is now online."
    Body:
Get a 200£ Visa® Prepaid card when you pay your BT services. Enroll now to WIN!" and then below it:
"Reward yourself for once. Actually, twice. Get a 200£ prepaid card* by mail + 200£ credit only with a few clicks!
Enroll now with a few clicks!" Followed by a link, then "**Offer ends 07/31/14. This offer is only available by ordering online. "
My concerns: 200£ not £200 / also date in American order rather than UK's 31/7/14/
    (2) Today at 08:55. From [email protected] Subject "IMPORTANT - your Billing Information"
    Body:
IMPORTANT - WE NEED TO CONFIRM YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION.
Hello - This e-mail has been sent to you to inform you that we were unable to confirm your BT account information.
This might be due to a recent change in your personal information. (eg: billing address, phone).
The secure way to confirm your account information:
    1.Download the attached Document..
    2. Follow the instructions to Confirm you account information
You might need your BT account number for this you'll find it at the top of your bill. We'll send you a confirmation email once your account information verified.
    Thanks for choosing BT,
     Libby Barr
Managing Director, BT Sales and Service
This is an automatic email, so please don't reply. To ensure future emails from BT are delivered to your inbox and not treated as spam, please add [email protected] to your address book. This email was sent to you at because you subscribe to BT services.
My concerns: I haven't changed my personal information / two full stops after 'Document' / 'Confirm you' instead of 'confirm your' in (2) / no full stop after "BT account number for this" / "has been" missing between 'information' and 'verified'. / something missing after 'sent to you at'.

Bin them. They are obviously fake. BT never ask you to confirm account details on an email. Do not click on any links or download anything if you are not 100% certain about them.

  • Has anyone else been receiving emails from their iTunes acc email to their same email claiming to be from Apple?

I just received an email from the account that I have my iTunes account with to that same account claiming to be from Apple Support.  I have attached a screencap to show email.

Yes, well it is still a spam/phising e-mail, so just delete it and check your iTunes e-mail account as it could have been hacked.  Go in and change the passwords associated with the account.
Any correspondence from iTunes or Apple directly should have your name on it and not Dear Apple Customer or iTunes Customer.  It's the same with the PayPal e-mails - they put Dear or Dear Customer without the name, which PayPal never do.
Delete it and then log into the e-mail account and change all the passwords to ensure that the account has not been hacked.

  • How do I send the same email to multiple addresses from my address book?

I need to send the same email to many people on a regular basis. I especially entered all my contacts in the address book. Now I find out that I can only click on one of my contacts email address to create a new message. But I need to send 1 email to about 50 people. How do I go about this?

  • Where can I send a complaint email (not to the worthless BB online reps)?

I want to complain directly to someone in charge, not the worthless Best Buy online customer support.
A couple of weeks ago, I called my local Best Buy and inquired about the Galaxy Note 4 promo, specifically the Verizon version. I explained on the phone that I wanted to buy the Verizon Note 4 at full retail price (so as to not lose my unlimited data). I was assured that I could buy it full retail and take advantage of the $200 trade in promo.
The next day I went in to preorder it, and was at first told that I couldn't preorder at full price. After getting a manager, I was able to place my preorder, and again asked about the promo, again being told it would work at full retail.
A few days later, I read online that people were stating you couldn't qualify for the promo at full retail, so once again I called and asked, and was again told it would work.
A week ago, I went back with my trade in device to make sure it would be acceptable for the promo (it was), and I asked again. The store associate wasn't sure, so he called the mobile manager who told him that yes, I could use the $200 trade in promo if I was buying at full retail.
That's 4 different times I asked, and four different times I was assured it was OK. Then, on the day it released, I started reading online from people who were told they didn't qualify for the promo unless they entered a new contract or extended a current one, and that full retail phones didn't qualify. So I called again, and lo and behold, I was told that you couldn't do it and never could. I was told that all Best Buy promotions required a contract renewal or extension and always had. The mobile manager even told me that the terms and conditions stated that a contract renewal was required, and argued with me when I told him they didn't. I actually had to read them to him right off your website, after which he went to the site and read them himself. After admitting they didn't state that, he told me I was out of luck and that I wouldn't be getting the $200 trade in unless I renewed my contract. He was somewhaty rude about it at first, but got better as the call went on.
I am livid! Besides the fact that I was told over and over again that a contract wasn't required, NONE of the Best Buy terms printed anywhere (online or in the store) stated this was a requirement right up to the day the preorder period ended and the promo was taken down.
I want the email of someone at corporate HQ. I will never buy anything from this fraud of a company again, and I will disuade anyone I can from purchasing from Best Buy on any and every online forum I can find.

    Good afternoon tedkord,
Welcome to the forum! I’m sure you were very excited to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 after its release. It is disheartening to hear that your experience with the $200 gift card trade-in promotion may have gone so awry due to some misinformation.
It is true that a 2-year agreement or installment billing agreement is required to qualify for this promotion. Our associates and agents should have all of the necessary information available to provide our customers with accurate and transparent information. It certainly seems like this may not have occurred during your interactions. I apologize if this is not what you were advised when you inquired on multiple occasions in regards to your desire to purchase the phone at full retail price.
I am sorry if this was not the news you were hoping for when you reached out to us on the forum. I hope that in the future you will give us the opportunity to provide you with a better experience, and that this particular experience has not influenced your future shopping destination.
If you should have any questions, please let me know.
    Respectfully,

  • CCMS Sending too much Email (every few min from the same alert).

    Hi everyone,
We have recently setup CCMS in SOLMAN to monitor all of our ECC6 systems.  Using auto-reactions we have any critical alerts sent to our pagers via email (SMTP).
Setting this up worked fine, however, we are finding ourselves in this mess:
When we trigger an alert, it seems that the alert just keeps producing hundreds of email messages...
Is there a way to have each alert found produce 1 or 3 email messages - then stop?  It may take some time to correct an alert, but, we do not want to be paged every 2-5 min with tons of email (one per first time triggering it would be awesome).
Thanks in advance for any help you can give us.
    Richard

Please see [this thread|Configure GRMG alert to just send one email/auto-reaction;.
    Regards,

P.S. I looked at your other messages and see you have a history of not awarding points to people who answer your questions. I almost ignored this question because of that.

  • Is anyone else having a problem when sending the first email of the day from iCloud?

For the past week I startup my iMac and send an email via my iCloud account. I finish typing it out, it says the whole time that it is saving the message. I hit send, the task bar comes up and shows that the meessage has been sent. I look in the 'sent' box and nothing! It didn't send and there is no trace of it in the 'outbox' or junk or drafts, not sure if it something that iCloud has had fixed in the 'Drafts' section but my very first email is lost to cyberspace every morning.
Very irritating when you have just typed a huge email and forgot to copy it to the clipboard (in case) it dissapears. Just happened asgain so I thought I'd post it here and see who else is experiencing it.
    Any help would be

Anyone?  I was hoping my problem would just 'fix itself'...  but I still have some clients telling me they're not receiving any email from me.  I've since deleted that account on my computers and re-added it.  But still having the same issue.

  • Sending the same email to multiple contacts from Contacts

do you know if this is possible and how to do it? thanks

Just type multiple addresses in the 'To' field in the email. If you use the same multiple addresses regularly, you might want to set up some groups in your Address Book.

  • What to do about Phishing emails

As like most people I am getting fed up with Phishing emails pretending to come from BT etc etc and have no real idea if anyone is trying to do anything about it i have started to do something myself.
On some of them particularly those with "Buttons" you can see the routing to where the Trojan programme etc is located.
I now email the owner of the site either by any contact information given or by looking it up on "Whois" if it is shown as a numeric.
I then send them a polite message saying that it looks as though there site has been hacked and they are hosting a programme that is used for Phishing.
So far i have sent 10 and got 8 replies 4 said they have removed the link and the associated account 4 said that they have left the link but advised the local police regarding the fraud.
So far i have had replies from the Phillapines, China and Malaya.
I have no illusions that this will stop it but it might dent it more than seems to be dane by anyone else.

Like you, I'm more than cheesed off with daily, false, "BT" emails but there is another issue, which so far I can't see anybody has raised i.e....... probably like everyone else I've sent countless copies of fakes to "Phishing" and to "Abuse" at BT only to receive the same pointless standard answers, with no action, from BT.
It is just not good enough for BT to fob off these complaints from many, many people, by saying that they (BT) can only do something if fake emails come from BT source / customer ..... these fake emails are leading unsuspecting people to believe that they are genuine and in any other (business) circumstance, this could be treated as fraud or misrepresentation, and could be actioned on by law enforcement / Trading Standards.
Does BT not care that their Logos / Headings / personnel are all clearly being massively misrepresented, day after day to countless numbers of their clients, all with an end view to illegal activity being carried out by the sender ??????
How much longer before senior personnel get off their rear ends and do something, instead of cowering behind their standard replies and paying lip service only to this problem, a problem which has existed for years, and is now increasing due to BT changes, and to get their vast resources to take action on this criminal activity, which we, as high cost paying customers, are expected to endure ???

  • Phishing emails?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help. I received an email claiming to be from apple stating that my iTunes account had been used to purchase Skype credit from an unrecognised device and suggesting that I change my apple id. Stupidly I clicked the link and then thinking better of it closed the link before it had fully loaded. I emailed apple to see if the email was real and received a response from [email protected], however, the following day I received a follow up email from the same person but from a different email address [email protected] - is this a genuine apple email? I'm a little paranoid that even though I didn't allow the link to load or enter any information that my iPad has some how been infected with something? Is there a way I can find out if something has infected my iPad?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no known malware capable of infecting an iPad, or any other iOS device, unless it has been jailbroken (ie, hacked to allow apps from outside the App Store). Malware is not involved in this case.
This was just a phishing e-mail, and clicking the link isn't really a problem as long as you didn't actually provide any of the requested information. You did the right thing checking with Apple. Any e-mail address ending in "@apple.com" is a legit Apple e-mail address, but you've got to be careful to be sure the sender's address wasn't "spoofed." (Hackers can fake the sender's e-mail address, so just because the From line says it came from somewhere @apple.com doesn't mean it really did.)
For more information, see Beware of phishing attacks.

  • Increase in phishing emails supposedly from BT

In the past few months I've noticed that I am getting more & more phishing emails pretending to be from BT.
They are all going to an email account that I don't use anymore (but what I used to set up my internet with originally) but have forwarded to my current email address
So there were a lot of BT Yahoo classic is closing ones, update your email, even had ones pretending that my bill was ready
I reported one with the ebilling on it and BT kindly forced me to change my password as "my account has been compromised" (er no it hasn't).  So I'm reluctant to report any more.
I'm just not sure what to do about them.  I obviously don't want genuine bt emails to go to the trash.

There are many phishing emails from BT doing the rounds no doubt trying to catch people out because of the forthcoming migration from Yahoo to Critical Path.
If you hover your mouse over the senders email address it will show you where it came from and if you hover your mouse over any links you will see where the link will take you.
Basically BT will not ask you to confirm any passwords, usernames or account details or verify accounts via links in an email. If you want to verify or change any of those, do it by going to the BT website via your web browser and not by clicking on links in emails.
If in any doubt about an email, delete it.
See link for details about phishing emails.
