Where is NOTES?!?!

I use Notes extensively! Both on Events and To Do Lists. In my mind it's iCal's premier advantage voer the plethora of over scheduling apps we have to choose from. I list details/thoughts about upcoming meetings, and use the To Do as a list of lists. This CANNOT BE GONE!!!
Any hints on how I can un-upgrade?

Welcome to the discussions, AlyssaRaz.
It is easier to help if you set your machine and OS details in your profile.
If you edit an event, is there a notes field?
If you double-click a todo, is there a notes field?

  • Out of no where, will not connect wirelessly.

I just purchased a Windows 8 pc. However, I take such good care of my techie things I still have an old Toshiba laptop about 8 years old, maybe a little less that runs just great, it's just the technolgy was getting a little behind. It's the old style "tablet" that has the swivel screen and was considered "heavy" accord to our standards today.
The Toshiba Satellite (circa 2005) laptop is an XP with all the updates and service packs. I keep it lean and clean with Advanced System Care, have for months with no problem. It was always used to connect wirelessly.
About the middle of February I switced from Verizon slow DSL to Comcast because we have no other choice for a faster speed. No FIOS. But, I've come back a full 180 to Verizon. However I did get a new modem, the latest advances. It's a D-Link ADSL2+  (DSL2750B)  Supposed to run 3 to 6 times faster than the old Verizon modem I had. When I first connected to the DSL I turned this laptop on, connected wirelessly and it was there great going! I was even hitting almost the top speed I am provisioned for wireless. The modem is only 2 feet away but still. I turned if off, turned my attention back to the new Windows 8 machine for a day couple of days
Then I wanted to go back and check the Toshiba XP  and revel in it's great performance on this new modem .... drat!!  It detects all local stations, even of course mine, but when I try to connect it tries but fails and jumps to a neighbors DSL. I can however connect with the Ethernet cord.
I've been using this Toshiba Tablet for months with a USB wireless adapter just fine that a friend gave me. In fact either the internal wireless adapter and the USB worked with not a problem but tests seemed to show his gift of the adapter was a little faster, so I use it exclusively.
So neither wireless adapter, internal or USB will connect to my modem. I even tried pressing the WPS button on the modem, the one that's lets someone near log on without a password.
So there it is. Can anyone have a clue why this worked at the first and now won't?  Also, all other pc's, including a netbook with XP and a new small android tablet are connecting no problem. It's the Toshiba laptop alone that for some reason ...
out of no where, will not connect wirelessly. Is there an easy fix than uninstalling drivers?  But why would both adapters get a corrupted driver at the same time?  I hope there is help here.  Thanks so much for reading this and consdering my situation.  Jack  ":-D

Since the computer can connect with the neighbor's router, I don't think there is a problem with wireless connection on the computer. So it has to be some configuration or settings problem with the new modem. I would check the encryption of the new modem. If the computer can see the modem, but not connect, my thinking is that the encryption is blocking the connection. Temporarily disable the encryption on the new modem and see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't, you may want to check the advanced settings on the modem and compare the IP settings on the computers that work versus the one that doesn't.

  • SELECT * FROM table WHERE id NOT IN?  Help with statement.

    Hi,
Two tables. Orders (orderID = PK) and Paid Orders (orderID =
    FK)
I want to display a recordset of orders from the Orders table
    where the
order ID doesn't appear in the Paid Orders table.
I have tried something like this:
    SELECT *
    FROM dbo.tblOrders
WHERE orderID NOT IN ( SELECT TOP 100 PERCENT
    tblPaidOrders.orderID FROM
    dbo.tblPaidOrders )
...no joy with that though. Would appreciate some guidance.
    Thank you.
    Regards
    Nath.

    Hi Nancy,
Before I begin that, can I ask if there is an issue with the
    OR?
    I need it to be:
(orderID IN (SELECT qryPaidOrders.orderID FROM qryPaidOrders)
    ORDER BY
orderdate ASC) AND ((customerid = MMColParam1) OR (vanopID =
    MMColParam2))
MMColParam1 is exactly the same as MMColParam but, for some
    reason
unbeknowns to me, DW8.0.2 won't allow me to use it twice.
    That's neither
here nor there though, as creating a 2nd variable
    (MMColParam2) solves that
    particular issue.
Do I need additional ( ) anywhere considering it is an OR
    though?
    Thanks.
    nath.

You cannot select that data from using a query(since the program unit is procedure), instead you can write a code (anonymous pl/sql block) and retrive the records and print them using dbms_output.put_line on console.

  • WHERE rowID NOT IN (another recordset on same page?)

    Hi.
I have a recordset that lists movie reviews.  On the same page, I have a menu that lists movies, for review.
I want to hide movies, in that list, if they already exist in the users recordset of reviews.
In other words, if the user has already submitted a movie review, I don't want them to be able to submit another review for the same movie.
As I understand it, I can use the NOT IN function in my SELECT statement for my movie recordset, but I'm not sure how to call the movieID from the review recordset, in this statement.
I'm aiming for something like this:
    rsUserReviews
    reviewID
    movieID
    rsMovies
    movieID
In the movie recordset I need to do something like this:
SELECT movieID, moviename FROM dbo.movies WHERE movieID NOT IN (SELECT movieID FROM rsUserReviews)
    Is this possible?
    Appreciate any advice.  Thanks.
    Nath.

Hi David.  Sincere apologies.  That is a bad habit of mine.
I'm using Classic ASP / VBScript.
    So you're suggesting:
    SELECT movieID FROM dbo.movies WHERE movieID NOT IN (SELECT dbo.reviews.userID, dbo.reviews.movieID FROM dbo.reviews WHERE dbo.reviews.userID = ?)
Do I just add another parameter, in the movie recordset, to accommodate the userID reference?
When I try that, I get this:
[SQL Server]Only one expression can be specified in the select list when the subquery is not introduced with EXISTS.
Hope you can help.  Thank you.
    Regards
    Nath.

is there a way to get this query working?

The only solution i found is to loop the list_p everytime, but doesnt work fine for me.
    Thanks in advance.

Write pipeline function that takes takes the string to split , pipes the split segments(table of string type ) .
Use the pipeline function in the query.

Here r_fkart might be Ranges. So here he has specified a Range of Fkart values. Here the statement says to Delete the records whose Fkart values are not equal to the Values entered. Means there are 1,2,3,4,5 Fkart values in the r_fkart field If u give 2,3 then it will delete 1,4,5 and records.
    Rewards if useful.
    Thanks,

  • Query transform with where condition not equal to

    All,
I have a two tables in a Data services job where I am using a Query transform to load the data from these two tables into another table. In the where tab in query transform i had a conditon saying table1.column1 <>  table2.column1 and table1.column2 <> table2.column2.
I need to see the record count of table1-table2 in my final thrid table, but I see more record count and also the not equal condition is failing. Its working for an equal condition but the not equal condition is failing.
The equivalent SQL query for the above transform has to be:
    select * from table1 inner join table2 on table1.column1 = table2.column1 where table1.column1 <> table2.column1 and
    table1.column2 <> table2.column2.
Any thoughs on how to fix my query transform.
    Thanks

    Hi
    As per your below statement
"I need to see the record count of table1-table2 in my final thrid table, but I see more record count and also the not equal condition is failing. Its working for an equal condition but the not equal condition is failing."
If you trying to get the records from table-1 which are not in table-2 (as you trying table1-table2)
you can try logic in query transformation where clause
    not table1.field1 in (table2.field1)
    and
    not table1.field2 in (table2.field2)
it gives you count from table1 only

  • Where are Notes really supposed to be kept?

Well, Apple, you have really confused me this time. I upgraded to the new MobileMe and all heck has broken loose with iCal and Notes.
I sorted the iCal issue by realising that I just have to delete everything in the 'On My Mac' folder in iCal, and go with the MobileMe hierarchy, and remember that even though it says it is on MobileMe, that actually means it is on MobileMe AND my Mac (because it syncs).
Notes in Mail, however, are such a shambles, I just cannot work out what to so. I now have notes in the Reminders box under 'On My Mac', and in 'MobileMe', the upgrade also moved notes into an IMAP account that has nothing whatsoever to do with MoblileMe, and then, to my horror, I noticed that all the notes are ALSO in my MobileMe email inbox folder. Deleting them from there causes them to be removed from the MobileMe Reminders box.
So, where are Notes SUPPOSED to be stored if I want to sync them across two Macs and an iPhone? If Apple is seriously suggesting that they have to live in the Inbox folder alongside all the emails, then they need their bumps feeling. Does anything at all now like in 'On My Mac'?
    Nige.

Widgets that you install should go into your Home Folder's widget library (~/Library/Widgets). If you double-click a widget file in the Finder (or download a widget via Safari) that's where it'll be installed.
The Dashboard widget Icon is by default always visible (and always on). If you remove it from the Dock, then no, it won't appear when Dashboard is up (the Dashboard icon behaves differently from other OS X applications since it's actually part of the Dock).

  • Report to check open reservations for production orders where GI not posted

    Hi experts,
Can we get reservation details from any report/ table for production order where material has not been issued, report should also display the value of the reserved material.
I could not find desired details in RESB (it has price but not value) and MB25.
Thanks in advance, useful ansers will be rewarded.
    Thnx
    Anand

    Hello Anand,
there is no report but you may use the production order info system with list "components" and create a layout contaning the issued quantity and/or the final issue indicator. With a correct sorting, the list should show all orders with non-issued components at the top.

  • ABAP Program where iam not able to get the Output.

    Hi Team,
I have written the code for the following requirement but could not get the output
Can you people please have a look at this.
Create a Report with the following output.
In the selection screen you should have KUNNR and Delivery date(VBEP-EDATU).
When you select the Customer number and Date in the Selection the following output should be displayed.
    Sales order Number (VBAK-VBELN)
    Sales order Material (VBAP-MATNR)
    Quantity (VBAP-ZMENG)
    Ship-to-Party (VBAK-KUNNR)
    Delivery Number(LIKP-LFDAT).
The key field used for fetching the values is VBELN.
Here the values from table VBAK are not getting selected.
Please check the Program and give your valuable suggestion.
I checked in Debug mode but could not get the values

  • Where its not possible to use a variable (&&var) in SQL*PLUS ?

    SQL*Plus Command Reference - DEFINE
Whenever you run a stored query or script, SQL*Plus substitutes the value of variable for each substitution variable referencing variable (in the form &variable or &&variable)
The question is which are the limits of this. Can eg even be between a 'STR&&varING' passed as parameter to some function? Or as parameter I can pass only a single variable and there isnt such auto-casting level ?
I have created DBCA Scripts to batch create a DB. So I want inside these scripts to replace the DBNAME with a variable. So I can create different DBS with these prescriptions from an API tool.
E.g here there are 6 different scenarios where I might need to pass the variable. I dont know
    1. On which of the bellow scenarios I can inject the &&var
    2. On which I cant and thus have to create a 2nd VAR to inject the 1st one
    3. Which dont accept variables at all - but only static text
    @D:\app\admin\DBNAMEY\scripts\CreateDB.sql
    spool D:\app\admin\DBNAMEY\scripts\CreateDB.log append
    startup nomount pfile="D:\app\admin\DBNAMEY\scripts\init.ora";
    CREATE DATABASE "DBNAMEY"
    DATAFILE 'D:\app\oradata\DBNAMEY\system01.dbf' SIZE ...
    GROUP 2 ('D:\app\oradata\DBNAMEY\redo02.log') SIZE 51200K,
I may not start testing the scripts 6 times fearing corrupting my Workstation on half executed scripts.

If you can't test because you are afraid the test might fail, you need to address that issue first.  No one on the web is going to give you iron-clad assurance that some code you write is going to work exactly as you expect.
Your script is trying to create a database?  What's the worst thing that can happen if it doesn't work?  Do you know how to manually dis-mantle whatever your script does?  If not, you need to learn.  The knowledge you will gain from that exercise will go a long way to improving your understanding of how these things interrelate.

  • Where are notes saved on the HD?

My MacBook Pro is being sent it for repair and i have taken out the HD and connected it to my pc to back it up.
Where can i find 'notes' that i would have saved on my Mac?
I have some important info on them and need to access them!

    Notes are stored in
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.notes
To find them in the Finder hold down the Option key and pull down to Library.  Then open the Containers folder.
What to do with that Notes folder is the question.
After duplicating that folder for safekeeping you can try several things.
One is to delete the Container.plist file and see if Notes works again.
Another might be to restore that folder from a TIme Macine backup.
Be sure you make a copy of the current folder before you trying anything that may modify it.

How do I get around a null in UNIX? This works fine if both parameters are populated. Thanks.

'31-DEC-4712' doesn't map to 'YYYY/MM/DD HH24:MI:SS' in any universe unfortunately.
