Where is OID departmentnumber value stored
Hi All,
In the DAS utility, or in Portal when editing your profile/credentials, there is a place for department. Where is this value stored in the ODS schema?
For example, First name is stored in ct_givenname. Last Name is stored in ct_sn.. etc.
Anyone know where department is stored? One would think there should be a ct_departmentnumber table.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Rob
Rob,
departmentnumber is per default a non indexed (non cataloged) attribute thus you don't have a separate ct_departmentnumber table. You need to create a catalog for departmentnumber via catalog.sh.
BTW: We discourage from accessing the DB schema and NEVER write into any OID DB table.

Where is the UniqueID value stored in the SharePoint database?
I'm trying to find where the 'UniqueId' field is stored in the SharePoint database for a list item. Not the GUID, but the UniqueID. This value is usually formatted like [ID#;GUID]. The guid here is different than the item guid.
In the documentation the column has a description, 'Lookup to a GUID for an item.' ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd961684(v=office.12).aspx )
but I can't find it in the database.
Here is the query I tried.
SELECT UserData.*
FROM dbo.Lists INNER JOIN dbo.UserData
ON dbo.Lists.tp_ID = dbo.UserData.tp_ListId
WHERE dbo.UserData.tp_ListId = '[my list]'
This should pull all values from the AllUserData table but it doesn't list 'UniqueID' as a column.If you have 2 lists, List A contains custom names, List B has a lookup field that points to List A. I go into list B and select a client name ("Contoso"), enter some info, and save it. On the back end, the list item will contain a value of something like:
34#;Contoso
In this scenario the 34 is the SPListItem.ID value of that item in List A. They start at 1 in each list and increment by 1.
Also, running queries against the database directly is not supported and can take your database out of Microsoft's supportability.

How/where to get the values stored in these two structure fields?
hi
need your help to find out where the following two fields get stored in tables...or is there any fm or bapi to get the data stored in these two fields?
1) Create Scheduling agreement:
Tcode: ME31L
Field label - Agreement type
Field name - EVART
Structure - RM06E
2) Purchase order display:
Tcode: ME23
Provide any Purchase order craeted already (where release strategy is implemented)
Select the line item & click release strategy icon at the top.
You will find a new pop-up menu. In that place the cursor on the startegy code like
Final release or XX or etc.
Field name - ANZEF

I need to add the values stored in the session object into the html textbox
Dear Sir,
i have been trying to create an edit employee details page
What i have done till now is as follow:
1. Got employee id from HTML page.
2. Compared it with the id stored in the database.
3. If the id is correct then pulled the record of the corresponding employee and stored it in the session object.
4. Dispatched the session values to another servlet EditEmpDetails2.java
what i need to do now
5. Now i need to set the session values in the text field of the html form
6. I also need to be able to edit those vales and store the edited values in the database.
Please help me as i have tried doing it for 1 week without any clues
i have tried to create a html page which is something like this:
<html>
<head>
<title>Edit Employee Details Page</title>
<body BGCOLOR="red" text="black">
<h1 ><font color="black">Edit Employee Details Page</font></h1>
<form action = "EditEmpDetails" method="Get">
<table width="50% align="center"
<tr><td>Employee ID: </td>
<td><INPUT TYPE="TEXT" name="employeeid"<br></td></tr>
<tr><td><center><input type="submit" value="submit"></center></td></tr>
<tr><td><center><input type="reset" value="reset" ></center></td></tr>
</table>
</form>
</body>
</html>
design of my servlet EditEmpDetails.java
public void EditEmpDetails1 extends HttpServlet
public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)throws ServletException, IOException
PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
response.setContentType("text/html");
HttpSession session = request.getSession();
String employeeid;
String X = request.getParameter("employeeid");
System.out.println("Employee iD:" + X);
Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:murphy");
String query = "Select * from users where employeeid=?";
PreparedStatement stat = con.prepareStatement(query);
System.out.println(stat);
stat.setString(1,X);
ResultSet rs = stat.executeQuery();
while(rs.next())
String Z = rs.getString(password);
if(Z.equals(X))
String A = rs.getString(1);
session.setAttribute("employeeid", A);
String B = rs.getString(2);
session.setAttribute("firstname", B);
String C = rs.getString(3);
session.setAttribute("lastname", C);
String D = rs.getString(4);
session.setAttribute("gender", D);
String E = rs.getString(5);
session.setAttribute("dateofbirth", E);
String F = rs.getString(6);
session.setAttribute("address", F);
String G = rs.getString(7);
session.setAttribute("postalcode", G);
String H = rs.getString(8);
session.setAttribute("phone", H);
String I = rs.getString(9);
session.setAttribute("mobile", I);
String J = rs.getString(10);
String url = "/EditEmpDetao;s.java";
RequestDispatcher dispatcher = getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher(url)
dispatcher.forward(request,response);
catch (Exception e)
system.out.println(e)
I do not know how to put the values stored in the session object into the html text box3. If the id is correct then pulled the record of the corresponding employee and stored it in the session object.do you really need to store this in session object?
5. Now i need to set the session values in the text field of the html form which form? in a new html/jsp page? i suggest go for a JSP
In your JSP page use JSP expression tags to put the session attributes.
it's something like : <input type='text' name='employeeid' value='<%= session.getAttribute("employeeid") %>' >and you need to generateanother servlet for saving the details/modifications to the database.
I think i m clear enough.
if you need more clarifications. just try it and then post your problem.

Where does portal details gets stored in the backend
Hi Gurus,
Where does portal contents gets stored in the portal related backend ?
Example: We have Content Administration under which we create iviews, pages, worksets and roles. Where does this gets stored ? do they get stored in some table as shown below ?
Table:
Parameters:
iview 'Report a Problem' iView Path Add Padding Inside Tray Allow Client-Side Caching Application Name
Values:
Test com.sap.portal.epsolman.EPSolman Yes Yes Testapp
How can we fetch the details ?
Regards,
RashmiHi Rashmi
To get the data from the portal database you need to use a datasource lookup.
Context ctx = new InitialContext();
DataSource ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("jdbc/SAP/BC_JMS");
Connection con = ds.getConnection();
The following datasources are provided by default for reading data from portal database
SAP/BC_JMS,SAP/BC_UME, SAP/BC_WDRR.
You can read more about JDBC Connector Service in the link [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/31/4cc81b275a419c8c72dca94366318a/frameset.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/31/4cc81b275a419c8c72dca94366318a/frameset.htm]

How to find where the screen field is stored in table
Hi all,
How to find where the screen field is stored in the table .
for some transactions if i press F1 on the field and after checking for the technical help.
I can only find the struture for the screen field, but whereas i need table name for it.
Can anybody help me how to find the table name where the field is stored.
Regards,
MadhaviHi,
Just hitting a F1 on screen field and getting structure name will not help in getting table name.
First you need to know the flow of data in the reqd module, which will help you know all the tables in that module with there most of the fields with the data flow, now you need to work on your own to figure out that in which actual tables that value is stored.
Hope this helps you.

How to Print all values stored in an Associative array
DB version:10gR2
There can be multiple results(multiple rows) for the below query. So, i'll have to declare the variables v_sid_serial, v_orauser, v_objectname,v_objecttype as associative arrays.
SELECT l.session_id||','||v.serial# sid_serial, l.ORACLE_USERNAME,o.object_name,o.object_type,
into v_sid_serial, v_orauser, v_objectname,v_objecttype
FROM dba_objects o, v$locked_object l, v$session v
WHERE o.object_id = l.object_id
and l.SESSION_ID=v.sid;But I want to store the results from the above query in flat file. I want the result set to look like
SID_SERIAL ORA_USER OBJECT_NAME
742,32914 SCOTT EMP
873,49832 HR EMPLOYEES
893,9437 mytestschema emp_dtls
. .How can i print the values in Associative arrays in the above manner so that i can spool the result set to a flat file?

You could use DBMS_OUTPUT to get the output on the screen within SQL*Plus.
You could also output (pipe) the data from PL/SQL using a pipelined function that you select from SQL. An example of a pipelined function...
SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE myrec AS OBJECT
2 ( col1 VARCHAR2(10),
3 col2 VARCHAR2(10)
4 )
5 /
Type created.
SQL>
SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE myrectable AS TABLE OF myrec
2 /
Type created.
SQL>
SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION pipedata(p_str IN VARCHAR2) RETURN myrectable PIPELINED IS
2 v_str VARCHAR2(4000) := REPLACE(REPLACE(p_str, '('),')');
3 v_obj myrec := myrec(NULL,NULL);
4 BEGIN
5 LOOP
6 EXIT WHEN v_str IS NULL;
7 v_obj.col1 := SUBSTR(v_str,1,INSTR(v_str,',')-1);
8 v_str := SUBSTR(v_str,INSTR(v_str,',')+1);
9 IF INSTR(v_str,',')>0 THEN
10 v_obj.col2 := SUBSTR(v_str,1,INSTR(v_str,',')-1);
11 v_str := SUBSTR(v_str,INSTR(v_str,',')+1);
12 ELSE
13 v_obj.col2 := v_str;
14 v_str := NULL;
15 END IF;
16 PIPE ROW (v_obj);
17 END LOOP;
18 RETURN;
19 END;
20 /
Function created.
SQL>
SQL> create table mytab (col1 varchar2(10), col2 varchar2(10));
Table created.
SQL>
SQL> insert into mytab (col1, col2) select col1, col2 from table(pipedata('(1,2),(2,3),(4,5)'));
3 rows created.
SQL>
SQL> select * from mytab;
COL1 COL2
1 2
2 3
4 5... which you can easily adapt to output whatever data you want e.g. you could loop through your associative array and pipe out the values within it. -
How to query the comma seperated values stored in Database
Hi,
I have a strange scenario, I am storing the specific data as a comma seperated value in the database. I want to query the DB with the comma seperated value as a Bind variable against the comma seperated value stored in DB.
For eg : The data stored in DB has
Row1 - > 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
Row2 - > 4,5,6,7,8,9,10
When I pas the Bind variable as '4,8' I should get Row1 and Row2 .

Finding the average of all the values stored in a two dimentional array
public int avg(int[][] numbers2){
int sum = 0;
float avg = 0;
for(int r = 0; r < numbers2.length; r++)
for(int c = 0; c < numbers2[r].length; c++){
sum += numbers2[r][c];
}So I have this code that of course finds the sum of all the values stored in the array int[][] numbers. What I am having an issue with is finding the average of the numbers. When I attempt to use:
avg = sum / numbers2.length; I get the sum / 3 because my array looks like:
int[][] numbers2 = {{1, 2, 3},
{4, 5, 6},
{7, 8, 9}
};Any ideas on what I should do or where I could find information on this process?2 dimensional arrays have 2 lengths:
myArray.length and myArray[0].length
The first one I believe is fixed, the second one may vary from row to row. But if you know that it won't vary, then you can just use the [0] row length. -
Where are all the settings stored?
When working with Data Modeler users can setup a couple of preferences.
E.g. windows size and position on desktop but others as well.
Where are all these settings stored?
Is it a file or in Win Registry?
How can I backup these (current) settings?
In addition I want to copy them onto another Data Modeler installation on another computer and use them over there as well.
Do 32bit and 64bit version access the same settings values?
Thank you

In Tools -> Preferences->Data Modeler there are import/export buttons.

How to set the where clause of a value set on the basis of a form field
I am using a DFF(Descriptive FlexField), which needs to display the value of a certain column(say columnA) on the basis of the value of another column(say columnB).
So i have created a value set which points to the table which has both these columns, and the DFF uses this value set. However, the problem is that I have not put any where clause in the value set, because of which i cannot handle the exact fetch returns more than one rows error.
The query has to be as follows:
select ColumnA from tbl where ColumnB = [ a form value ];
What I want to know is how can i get the value of a certain field of a certain block of the form in the above query.

Edited by: 981615 on Jan 14, 2013 12:48 AMJust have a look over these two statements if it solves your problem
one time where clause
Set_Block_Property('BLOCK_NAME',ONETIME_WHERE,your form item);
dynamic where clause
set_block_property('BLOCK_NAME'default_where, your form itme)
you can where clause at run time from any procedure or some triggers
