Where is the 'Short Films' genre?

Sometimes I only have 15 minutes/half an hour to kill, and the short films are ideal in iTunes. They even have their own genre. But it is strange that in the genre list on the ATV, 'Short Films' is the only one missing! Why?
Is there a way to find them on the ATV?

Thank you. I bet the companies supplying iTunes with the short films won't be too happy if they found out how hard they are to find on the ATV.

I downloaded som short films, legally. And Firefox shut down, and i had to start over again, but when i went back the short films was no longer on the list and I want to ask how ican get them baack ?

It was alot of small films in approximatly 10-20 minutes and it was alot of them, and i dont want to go back between the websites to start download them again because that took a lotof time.

If it happens again the make sure that you aren't suppressing website colors.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

Short films?

Hi there
I am looking at the short films under genres and no art work comes up and when I click on it it tells me this operation can not be done. I am in the UK, is that why I cant use it or is it something wrong with the APTV? Also I have noticed when I am on the home page and have movies selected it does not show any movie art work at the top of the screen which it did when I first got it, I am thinking maybe its to do with the update, not sure? I am happy with the APTV but just wandering why I cant access the short films?

Actually thinking about it, are any short films available to rent?
A quick browse and most seem to be on sale for £1.49.
It may be there's not,hinge to rent, whereas AppleTV1 allows purchases too.

Online Documentary and Short film to 2K using only FCS2???

Hi, there is a possibility for us to try to make an online for a documentary and a short film in the coming months. Some time ago I would have thought to send these projects to an online facility (Avid DS, Flame, Smoke...) now I am wondering if we could make those projects in-house using FCS2 (thinking here about Color).
Can we manage well if we buy a good decklink card for monitoring and a good Panasonic Broadcast monitor?... can we be getting close to results achieved before only with much more expensive equipment?
For the documentary we would be given a mix of SD DV Pal and HDV Pal. All of it 4:3 that needs to be converted to 16:9, color corrected and graded. The end exhibition format will be for Digital cinema (2K projector as far as we know). Can we upres with good enough quality using only FCS2? Do the scaling algorithms used by FCS2 for scaling are good enough, in comparison with those like Teragen (4 tap scaling, 16 tap scaling, etc etc)
For the short film we will be given source footage from the Panasonic AJ-HDX900, shot with a 35mm adapter. Footage ingested through firewire to DVCPRO HD. Would FCS2 give us the possibility of making a color grade using Color that would be good enough to make an online and rendering a Digital Cinema compliant 2K (maybe 4K?). Are the upres capabilities of FCS2 sophisticated enough?

I cannot explain the technical details as to the quality differences between harware upres and software....I am a creative editor. But of course a Terranex hardware upconvert would be the best way to go, and a way I typically go. But I have also used a Kona 3 to upconvert and it does a good job as well. Kinda like a mini-terranex. FCP software scalers are good, and good in a PINCH and when you can't afford a Terranex. Lesser quality, but still good (it'd take an you looking at both on broadcast quality HD monitors to really see the difference). By the time the show you work on gets compressed and broadcast...if you looked at both side by side then? On consumer sets? Hard pressed to tell the difference. BUT, that being said, it is always good to try to get the best quality you can.
As for bit processing and going from color to AE and all that rendering stuff...too technical for me. Stu Maschwitz at prolost.blogspot.com/ does know about this...and prefers to go to AE for rendering. You can e-mail him your question...he's a good technical resource.
Now...as for the Panasonic 1700W...I have seen better monitors than this. I was at a post house that had 10 models side by side and all set up by the company reps...and the 1700 had to be one of the worse looking there. Now, it might be because the rep set it up wrong...but it was VERY BRIGHT. Like someone on a sales floor set it up. There were FAR better options out there. The TVLogic LVM-240W one ($8000) was by far the best. Off axis viewing held up too. The second best was the JVC DT-V24L1D...then the Sony 2450WHD. The JVC and Sony hover around $5000...All US dollars. And ALL are HD LCDs.

Zombie Short Film Shot on Eos Rebel T2i

Hello everyone. We have decided to shoot a pre-trailer to a zombie short film we are in production for. This was shot on the Eos Rebel T2i with its standard lens, and a 50mm lens. I am proud to say I own one of these amazing cameras.
We were inspired to create our own short film inspired by the Walking Dead. In this new generation, a young leader by the name of Clarissa is left to lead the group of teenagers her age as well as others that fall into their lives. The group encounter enemies that are not just the dead. The Apocalypse has revolved around everyone, no matter of the age. The group faces new threats, the wisdom of the leader is question and a new unimaginable circumstance falls into play. We introduce our creation of the Hybrid, who is half human and half Carrier, otherwise known as a zombie. Could he be more than just a Hybrid? Or could there be more to the endurance of his life and why he lives being both? Stay tuned and find out!

in which case the other option is to pay by a giftcard which include a code which you put in

Move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

These "Share" files are accessed and used by the Create Disc app.
Create Disc is buried in the FCP X package.
Applications>FCP X>Show Package Contents>Contents>Plugins>Compressor>Compressor Kit.bundle>Show Package Contents>Embedded Apps>Create Disc
I'm wondering if having the Compressor Application on a Mac makes a difference to having just FCP X on a Mac and the use of the Sharing feature.
I have Compressor loaded and find that DVD and Bluray burns from Share without any glitches as some are experiencing.

Are those part of the SmartSound Sonic Fire Library?
If so, you will want to go to the SmartSound Web site: http://www.smartsound.com/ as they have all of the licensing info for their music. You should be fine, but I would check, just to be sure.

There is nothing to download.
You first must purchase the service in iTunes and let the intial scan, match and upload process complete. Then you can activate it on your iPhone by going to Settings > Music and set the option for "iTunes Match" to ON.

Venodor Name is in the Table LFA1 and field is LFA1-NAME1.
if it is Blank you can take the ADRNR from LFA1 and go to ADRC table with ADRNR and get the Name from ADRC table.

When you purchase an HD movie or show, in most cases the SD copy can be downloaded from your purchases area in iTunes. On the main iTunes Store page, go to Purchases under the Quick Links and then select Movies or TV shows as appropraite. Click the "Not On This Computer" button. Uncheck the "Download HD when available" box and you should then see the SD copies of the movies/shows and be able to download them.
Note that with digital copies from a Blu-Ray or DVD, if it comes with an HD copy, you normally cannot get the SD copy as well and have to purchase it separately if you want it.

New to ipad/iTunes and the answer is probably obvious but where can I select what genre to browse in ITunes on ipad 4? I know there is a drop down menu but this is really basic and doesn't seem to go any more in depth than "electronic". Cheers Lee.

If you have a subscribed calendar in iCal you can change its location to 'MobileMe' - control-click on the calendar, choose 'Get Info', then set the drop-down 'Location' menu to your MobileMe login name.
However this is only for the purpose of syncing the subscription to other computers or devices. It will not be displayed at http://me.com/calendar.
