Where to find package javax.sql

Hi,
I am getting the following error when I am trying to use DataSource.
package javax.sql does not exist
I have included weblogic.jar in the classpath.
What else do I need to include?
Thanks.

You have to set the WLS environment.Go to BEA_HOME\user_projects\domains\YOUR_DOMAIN
and then run the command setEnv after that try to compile the java program.It will work.

  • What is the diffrence between package javax.sql and java.sql

    Is javax designed for J2EE?
    And when to use package javax?

    Hi,
    What is the diffrence between package javax.sql and java.sql?The JDBC 2.0 & above API is comprised of two packages:
    1.The java.sql package and
    2.The javax.sql package.
    java.sql provides features mostly related to client
    side database functionalities where as the javax.sql
    package, which adds server-side capabilities.
    You automatically get both packages when you download the JavaTM 2 Platform, Standard Edition, Version 1.4 (J2SETM) or the JavaTM 2, Platform Enterprise Edition, Version 1.3 (J2EETM).
    For further information on this please visit our website at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/guide/jdbc/index.html
    Hope this helps.

  • Cannot find package javax.servlet.*

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to run the "make all" in the Wrox J2ee bea book and am running in to errors that all seem to stem from the fact that the javax.servlet.* packages do not exist. After looking around it seems that this package should be in the weblogicaux.jar file. I do not have that jar file in my install. Anyone know where i can either get that weblogicaux.jar file or any file which has the javax.servlet packages. Any help would be much appreciated.

    weblogic 5.1.0

    That jar file should be located in %WebLogichome%\lib.

  • Where to find help with SQL Developer installation?

    Hi,
    I just want to try out SQL Developer and compare its capabilities to TOAD's. Unfortunately, I am not PC software savvy and now am stuck with a SQL Developer (sqldeveloper-1.2.2998) installation problem. When I clicked on the .exe file, I got a blank SQL Developer screen - there is nothing in the screen except a heading that reads 'Oracle SQL Developer'...
    Does anyone know of a blog or a site that I can get some help with problems like mine?
    Any help is much appreciated!

    Hi,
    SQL Developer forum link:
    "http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=260"
    There are 2 versions of SQL Developer, with/without JRE.
    Try out the full install version with JRE.

  • ERRORsymbol:class UserTransaction(cannot find symbol)/package javax.mail.in

    Hi people, I am trying to compile a web proyect in MyEclipse with Ant 1.6.2, but now it appears an error that says :
    [javac] F:\...\Doc1.java:13: cannot find symbol
    [javac] symbol : class UserTransaction
    [javac] location: package javax.transaction
    [javac] import javax.transaction.UserTransaction;

    and another one:
    [javac] F:\...\Doc2.java:19: package javax.mail.internet does not exist
    [javac] import javax.mail.i nternet.MimeMultipart;
    [javac] ^
    I'm using tomcat 5.5.23
    Could anyone say to me why could this happen???I think that I am using all the libraries I need and so on..
    Thank you very much!!

    You're not using all the libraries you need. :-)
    UserTransaction is part of Java EE. You'll need Java EE support in your compilation
    environment, and your program won't run on Tomcat. (Java EE support will also
    include JavaMail, which you can use separately with Tomcat as well.)
