Whether this function module K_DOCUMENT_UPDATE can send IDOC to Non SAP Sys

Hi,
I know function Module K_DOCUMENT_UPDATE can sent IDOC to R/3 systems.
1.Whether this function module can sent the IDOC to Non SAP System?.
2.How to make sure, that the function module can sent IDOC to Non SAP System?.
Please advise.Thanks.
Regards,
Dinesh

Hi Dinesh,
      Inside this function module K_DOCUMENT_UPDATE there is a FM available
CALL FUNCTION 'K_DOCUMENT_SEND'
       EXPORTING
            I_LOGSYS      = LOGSYSTEM
            I_COBK        = COBK
       TABLES
            T_COEP        = LT_COEP
            T_COEPL       = LT_COEPL
       EXCEPTIONS
             This FM is responsible to send IDOCs to the defined logical system LOGSYSTEM. No matter this logica; system is SAP or non-SAP IDOC will be sent. Prerequisite are,
1) RFC connection exist between system
2) Partner profile is configured between the system.

  • Sending IDoc from Non-SAP system to XI

    Dear all,
       We have a non sap system which needs to send IDoc to XI, Please could you answer my following four questions
    1. What should be the values for the following fields in the IDoc control record
    e.g. RCVPRN = <logical system name of XI>
    SNDPOR
    SNDPRT
    SNDPRN
    RCVPRT
    RCVPOR
    2. How does XI decide which port(idx1) to be used when it receives an idoc
    3. The third party system is a non sap one, so it does not have a client no, so I would assume, I need to use another SAP system as a meta data provider, in that case, how would i tell XI to use that port when it receives IDocs from the non-SAP system ?
    4. In what step does XI use the logical system name of the Business system(in SLD)?
    Thanks in advance
    cheers

    Hi
    there is bit wrong interpretation of the statement
    If the sender system is a non-SAP system, the sender service is identified from the logical system name of the sender port.
    If the sender system is nonSAP it indicates taht the data is coming to XI from non sap systems such as file, database, webservice etc. to XI and from XI it will pass to sap as IDOC inbound.
    For this you need to create the logical system in SAP (receiver) and pass on that value to IDOC header.
    You could maintain it in the Business service used for Sender system (nonSAP). here it will be available in the tabs ---> History.
    note : IDOC is the concept of data container in SAP, you will not be able to have the IDOCs in non sap systems...
    Thanks

  • Functional Module which can send FAX

    Hi All,
    Can you please suggest a function module which we can use to send fax. We wanted to fax the output list genrated by the program.
    Regards,
    Vidya.

    The following program shows you how to send a fax from within ABAP/4. The report is delivered
    in the standard system and is used in Transaction SCOM for the function "Send test fax".
    Only the method via the call of SAPscript with DEVICE='TELEFAX', described below, ensures the
    generation of a correct transmission request, independent of the R/3 release and of the used
    fax server solution and its configuration.
    The regular printing (for example, with NEW-PAGE PRINT ON...) on an output device created in
    the spool administration of the device class 'Telefax' does generally not work!

    Hi
    For a particular sales order,you have to pass the order number and the item number in the sales order.
    It will display the rest of the values which u can capture them using internal tables.

  • Function module to copy INVOIC IDOC

    One of our customers use the IDOC message type INVOIC. When the IDOC are received and the proces has been started, we will like to make a copy of the IDOC with the status code 70.
    I know this functionality exist when we change the segment data using the transaction code BD87, and I have debugged this transaction, but the "copy" functionality are developed in the program SAPLEDI5 and not in a function module.
    I am looking for a function module to handle this functionality. Hope you can help me.
    Per Larsen

    To make a copy of idoc message type, you simply have to find the linked Function module of the Idoc. So for INVOIC, there would be a linked Function Module , you can copy the interface of the Function Module and build your own custom Function Module (Z function module) to attach it to the message type.
    So the steps to your problem would be:
    1. Copy the FM to attached mesaage type into a Z function module.
    2. Write the functionality you require in your Z function module.
    3. Attach the message type/ idoc type to this function module. The systematic steps to this can be simply carried out in the Transaction WEDI which is an area menu for EDI/IDOC . Depending on whether it is inbound/outbound, you can follow the steps.
    Cheers!

    I am inserting the detail in internal table 'it_message' but this is not transmitted....can anybody point out what I need to do to get detail in the email.
    Thanks to all who might reply..

    Hi,
    Have you made sure that your code works without workflow? Just put it to a report and execute it with dummy values and see if it sends the email properly. If that works, then the problem might be in the workflow. I would first make sure that the bindings are correct - that your internal table containing the details is passed to the task. This you can see from the workflow log in the container.

  • How to create RFC function module and how to call this function module

    Hi,
    i want to know step for creating RFC function module and then How to  use this function module from some other sap system.
    Thnaks,
    jigar

    Jigar,
    To implement a remote function module in ABAP, perform the following steps:
    Register the module as remotely callable in the RFC server system.
    In the function module Administration screen (transaction code SE37), set the field Can be called via REMOTE CALL. Registering a module as remote causes an RFC stub to be generated for it.
    Write the code for the function module.
    Create the destinations.....................
    Displaying, Maintaining and Testing Destinations
    To display, create or modify destinations, choose Tools ® Administration ® Administration ® Network ® RFC destinations or enter transaction code SM59.
    Remote Destinations are stored in table RFCDES. The RFCDES table describes logical destinations for remote function calls.
    It is not possible to maintain the RFCDES table directly.
    You can also access logical destinations via the Implementation Guide (IMG) by choosing Tools ® AcceleratedSAP ® Customizing ® Execute Project ® SAP Reference IMG.
    In the Implementation Guide, expand the following hierarchy structure:
    Basis
    Application Link Enabling (ALE)
    Sending and Receiving Systems
    Systems in Network
    Define Target Systems for RFC Calls
    Displaying Destinations
    The initial screen for this transaction displays a tree:
    Different connection types (i.e. partner systems or programs) are possible. For further information, see Types of Destinations.
    To display all information for a given destination, double-click it, or place the cursor on it and press F2 .
    To search for a destination, press the Find button and specify your selection. You get a list of all entries matching your selection. Place the cursor on the one you want, and press F2 or simply double-click the destination. All information for the given entry appears.
    Creating Destinations
    On the destinations overview screen (transaction code SM59), the connection types and all existing destinations are displayed in a tree structure.
    All available connection types are explained in Types of Destinations.
    To create a new RFC destination, press the Create button. A new screen is displayed with empty fields for you to fill in.
    If you want to create a new destination
    As you create a remote destination, you can specify a particular application server or a group of servers for a balanced distribution of system load.
    For details of the destination parameters, see Entering Destination Parameters.
    Changing Existing Destinations
    On the destinations overview screen (transaction code SM59), the connection types and all existing destinations are displayed in a tree structure.
    You can display all information for a given destination by double-clicking it or pressing F2 on it.
    To change an existing destination, double-click it, or place the cursor on it and press the Change button.
    For details of the destination parameters, see Entering Destination Parameters.
    Testing Destinations
    To test a destination, choose the appropriate function from the Test menu.
    Connection (also available via the Test connection pushbutton)
    Authorization (checks logon data)
    Local network (provides a list of application servers)
    You can use the CALL FUNCTION statement to call remote functions, just as you would call local function modules. However, you must include an additional DESTINATION clause to define where the function should run:
    CALL FUNCTION RemoteFunction
    DESTINATION Dest
    EXPORTING
    f1 =...
    f2 =...
    IMPORTING
    f3 =...
    TABLES
    t1 =...
    EXCEPTIONS......
    The field Dest can be either a literal or a variable: its value is a logical destination (for example, "hw1071_53") known to the local SAP System. Logical destinations are defined in the RFCDES table (or the TRFCD table in R/2 Systems) via transaction sm59 or the following menu path: Tools ® Administration, Administration ® Network ® RFC destinations. You can also access logical destinations via the Implementation Guide (IMG) by choosing Tools ® Customizing ® Enterprise IMG. In the Implementation Guide, you can then choose Cross-application components ® ALE ® Communication ® Define RFC destination.
    The remote function call concept, for example, allows you to access a function module in an R/2 System from an ABAP program in an R/3 System. If you want to read a customer record from your R/2 System’s database, create a remotely callable function module in the R/2 environment which retrieves customer records. Call this function from your R/3 System using a remote function call and listing the destination for the target R/2 System:

    Hi,
    1. Suppose the requirement is to know the parameters/select-options selected on the selection screen, on the list output (report).
    Because once we are on the report output , we wouldnt know the selection parameters made. The only way is to go back & check. Instead of going back we can use this FM to know even when we are on the o/p.
    2. Also to take a print of both the report output& selection parameters.

  • How to make this function module as RFC to get data from different system?

    Hi
    I am trying to use following function module . This function module is used to copy data from one cube to another cube within same system however I need a this should happen across two different system. How can I use this function module to make it remote call to different system and do the same function what it is doing ?
    Name of function module -
    RSDRT_INFOCUBE_DATA_COPY
    Any help would be really helpful
    AG

    HI,
      let us say you want to copy the data of a cube in system A to a cube in system B .
      1) create a RFC function module in system B (in this function module  call the function module RSDRI_CUBE_WRITE_PACKAGE to update the data), this RFC function module should have same parametersa as RSDRI_CUBE_WRITE_PACKAGE .
    2) write a program in system A .. read the data from the infocube using the function module RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ and call the RFC function module in system B that you have created..
    for the details of the parameters to pass to these two function modules use the RSDRT_INFOCUBE_DATA_COPY and get the required code
    Thanks

  • Process code's function module required for the IDOC Message type PROACT

    Hi,
    I am trying to trigger an IDOC from ME32K transaction which will carry my Contract agreement details to XI. The IDOC I am using for this purpose is PROACT.PROACT01. But I couldn't find the outbound process code / Function module for the process code associated to this IDOC message type.
    Pls help me out....
    Thanks,
    Ram Kalyan

    I checked table EDIFCT for the message type and found this:
    Function module            Function type    Basic type                                      Message Type
    IDOC_INPUT_PROACT          F               PROACT01                                       PROACT
    Oops...I think you are looking for outbound..Ignore

  • Why we use this function module

    Hi
        why we use this function module 'LIST_TO_ASCI'.
    regards,
    sivakumar

    hi,
    using LIST_TO_ASCI you can get the list in TEXT format, but this will be with all the formatting you have done in your list, it wont be just field names and its values.
    check this sample code.....
    DATA  BEGIN OF itab_list OCCURS 0.
            INCLUDE STRUCTURE abaplist.
    DATA  END OF itab_list.
    DATA: BEGIN OF vlist OCCURS 0,
            filler1(01)   TYPE c,
            field1(06)    TYPE c,
            filler(08)    TYPE c,
            field2(10)    TYPE c,
            filler3(01)   TYPE c,
            field3(10)    TYPE c,
            filler4(01)   TYPE c,
            field4(3)     TYPE c,
            filler5(02)   TYPE c,
            field5(15)    TYPE c,
            filler6(02)   TYPE c,
            field6(30)    TYPE c,
            filler7(43)   TYPE c,
            field7(10)    TYPE c,
          END OF vlist.
    SUBMIT zreport EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY.
    CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY'
      TABLES
        listobject = itab_list
      EXCEPTIONS
        not_found  = 4
        OTHERS     = 8.
    CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_TO_ASCI'
      EXPORTING
        list_index         = -1
      TABLES
        listasci           = vlist
        listobject         = itab_list
      EXCEPTIONS
        empty_list         = 1
        list_index_invalid = 2
        OTHERS             = 3.
    IF sy-subrc NE '0'.
      WRITE:/ 'LIST_TO_ASCI error !! ', sy-subrc.
    ENDIF.
