Which jar file(s) from the Eclipse plug-in to use

Post Author: supermonkey
CA Forum: JAVA
Hi,I downloaded JRC plug-in and realized there are 47 jar files for CR. Now I'm wondering how many of these 47 files are being use when running CR from Java? My Java application resides on a server and users access the application thru web start. If users have to download all 47 jar files every time they run the application, it would su*k for them very much. Now does anyone know which jar files are actually being use during execution?The document here http://support.businessobjects.com/communityCS/TechnicalPapers/cr_xi_r2_jrc_deployment.pdf.asp told me that I only need about 20 or so of them. I plugged into the classpath or my test application and errors occurred. Hi Ted,Thanks for the reply. But what I was interested in knowing was how many of the Eclipse-CR plugin jar files does CR require for a successful execution? Or do I have to import all 47 jar files? thanks

    does the time stamp with the ":" a part of your output file?
    else use a replaceAll function in your mapping and replace the : with empty string then use the value in the variable substitution
    Another option is use the normal BPM for 1: N message flow. The use a simple java mapping that will introduce a dynamic configuration and you can create the file name as you want. the java mapping will be used in the flow of messages from BPM to target system.

  • Jar file runs from the command line, but not when I double click it

    Hello, I'm running windows xp. I've created an executable jar file and it runs fine from the command line when I type;
    java -jar wizard.jar
    but, when I double click it . . . nothing.
    Any ideas?

    nothing ? that's weird, windows XP should prompt you to select the program you want to use in order to open Jar files (and give you this silly piece of advice to search the web for the appropriate program)
    you might want to check what program (if any) got associated with .jar extensions :
    in Windows Explorer : Tools => Folder Options => File Types

  • Which jar file for the classpath ?

    At my office on my machine i have weblogic 8.1 and tomcat installed.
    weblogic have 2.3 version of servlet and
    tomcat have 2.4 version of servlet
    weblogic is for production purpose (development of servlet, jsp and ejb)
    and tomcat is for my own practice. (just for servlet and jsp)
    i have weblogic.jar as well as servlet-api.jar in my class path.
    now when i compile my servlets which jar file the compiler will use to create the classes.
    if the compiler chooses servlet-api.jar will my servlet run in weblogic
    else
    if the compiler chooses weblogic.jar will my servlet run in tomcat

    i have weblogic.jar as well as servlet-api.jar in my class path.What does this mean? Do you have a system CLASSPATH environment variable?
    Bad idea.
    now when i compile my servlets which jar file the
    compiler will use to create the classes.You should set CLASSPATH using the -classpath option on javac.exe.
    The compiler won't "choose" anything, because it has no idea how you'll deploy. It'll use the one that you tell it to. If you have just a system CLASSPATH it'll always use the first JAR that it finds with the packages it needs.
    You need to specify exactly what you want the compiler to use.
    In the case of servlet.jar it might not matter, because that's pretty standard. JSPs and EJBs are another story, however. If you change deployment, it's best to recompile and repackage the Web app.
    Learn Ant. It'll help you automate this.

  • Which jar file has the class TaskFlowBindingAttributes?

    Hi,
    I'm using JDeveloper version - 11.1.1.6
    I want to know which jar file consists the TaskFlowBindingAttributes class?
    I looked into following location - JDEV_HOME\oracle_common\modules\oracle.adf.controller_11.1.1\ and didn't find this class in jar files located here. (adf-controller.jar, adf-controller-api.jar and adf-controller-rt-common.jar)
    Any inputs would be helpful.
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi,
    I found it in ADF 11g R2 documentation - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24382_01/web.1112/e16182/taskflows_regions.htm#insertedID10
    I guess this is 11g R2 feature.
    I have a requirement to display the multiple regions dynamically. This feature suits my requirement perfectly, but unfortunately it is not available in 11g R1.
    Can we achieve the similar functionality in 11g R1 through other means?

  • Determining the name of the jar file running from JAVA

    Hi everyone,
    This is probably a silly question, but how do you determine the name of the jar file running from within the jar file.
    E.g. If I'm running the jar file "Test.jar", then how can I get the String value "Test.jar" from within my program?
    Any help would be appreciated! Thanks:)

    I think that you can use the solution above to get the jar file resources associated with a particular jar file, and then use the JarFile class to get a manifest of whats in there, and then find your class?
    This is only off of the top of my head, and I haven't tested it. Let me know if it works

  • Jar files downloaded from SkyDrive are being renamed to jar.zip files

    I have cut and pasted the following series of exchanges from when I posted the problem onto SkyDrive's support forum. I hope that someone might be able to propose a better solution to the problem that I have. Thanks for your help.
    MDSms asked on
    Uploaded jar files convert to jar.zip files when downloaded from SkyDrive
    I have uploaded an executable jar file to SkyDrive. (I will call this FILE.jar). The file is intact and indicates that it is a jar file type when the file is viewed by Properties within Skydrive. However, when I download (or others download through a share link) the file, it is being saved onto the local computer's download file with .zip appended to the file name (FILE.jar.zip). The downloaded file can be renamed to remove the .zip appendage and subsequently run successfully. However the folder options for the folder where the downloaded file resides must be changed for disable "Hide known file extensions" prior to being able to remove the .zip appendage. While I have figured out the workaround for this problem, this manual renaming procedure is entirely too cumbersome as a solution for sharing this file with others. How can I prevent or disable the FILE.jar file from being renamed to FILE.jar.zip when it is downloaded from SkyDrive?

    The file was uploaded by first logging onto my SkyDrive account using Windows 7 Pro and Firefox browser, then a new folder in my account was created without sharing privileges, then the folder was opened and the FILE.jar was uploaded into the folder using the "Upload" option on skydrive account menu. Sharing privileges for FILE.jar were then created (view only), and the shortened url link was sent to the individuals that I was trying to share the file with. was then turned on. When these people use the link to download the file, it is being saved as FILE.jar.zip.
    When I try to download the file through the skydrive account download option, it is being saved onto my computer as FILE.jar.zip and this occurs when I try to download the file while signed into my skydrive account as well as when I am not signed into my skydrive account (using the shared file link).
    This PNG shows the information provided by clicking on the download icon (down arrow) within the Firefox browser; note that the file was downloaded as FILE.jar.zip and that the source was live.com. When I use Windows Explorer to look at the same file within the Download folder itself, examining the file's properties details also shows that it is being saved as FILE.jar.zip and is of the file type compressed zip folder.
    This PNG shows the information displayed to me from my skydrive account when I view the originally uploaded file's properties; note that the information shows that the file is a jar file type.
    When I utilize Internet Explorer 9 to access the file, FILE.jar is being downloaded onto my computer as a jar file type. This PNG shows the information provided by Tools/View Downloads within the IE9 browser. Note that in this instance, the information indicates that the file is being downloaded from yzudea.blu.livefilestore.com.
    It appears to me that the problem (the FILE.jar file being renamed to FILE.jar.zip) arises from the fact that a jar file downloaded from skydrive using firefox, is being sent from live.com whereas a jar file downloaded from skydrive using IE9 is being sent from yzudea.blu.livefilestore.com.
    I want to make sure that a person receiving a share link from me for FILE.jar is able to download it without modification to the file name regardless of which browser is being using to access the link. How can I make sure that this occurs?
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi MDSms,
    I appreciate you for providing as much information as you can about the issue, as well as for uploading screenshots on what you see from the downloaded file. About your initial concern wherein the file gets renamed with .zip after the original file extension, this is solely dependent on the browser that you are using since they have a different safety/security measure that needs to be implemented.
    Moreover, you may see the file servers live.com and yzudea.blu.livefilestore.com to be different with one another, but they actually are sent from the same SkyDrive server. This in turn, depends on the web browser where the file is being downloaded as well. The live.com file where it was downloaded from Firefox simply masks its original server yzudea.blu.livefilestore.com.
    As for your last query about your recipients downloading the file without the hassle of renaming it from a .zip file, you can simply tell them to download it through Internet Explorer.
    Should you have other queries or additional information that might help in our investigation, I highly encourage you to post them here.
    Regards,
    Michelle

    Michelle,
    Thanks for your reply. Yes, I could simply tell them to download the file through Internet Explorer, but is there another solution or workaround to the problem I have described here? Am I being punished with the curse of this problem simply because I (or the individuals with which I wish to share FILE.jar with) choose to use Firefox instead of IE? Will the use of any other browser instead of IE (Chrome, Safari, etc., etc.) still result in the same problem?
    You stated that it is "solely dependent on the browser that you are using since they have a different safety/security measure that needs to be implemented"........could the problem be overcome by designating one or both of the file server addresses as Trusted Sites within the browser options setting?
    I look forward to your response. Thanks in advance.

    Hi MDSms,
    We understand your concern. Since the issue does not occur in Internet Explorer, it has something to do with Firefox's security feature. You might want to verify this concern by contacting Firefox support.
    Hope this helps. Let us know if we can further assist you with SkyDrive.

  • In which jar file SAP NW(EP) connector class available

    hi
    i want to know in which jar file the javaconnector class is available and i'm developing one plugin to connect sap ep to sap km repository to fetch docs from repository. for this i need some java classes so pls help me out from this problem.....
    regards

    Hallo Rupesh,
    you could have a look at the following jars:
    bc.crt_api.jar                               bc.rf.framework_api.jar                      bc.rf.repository.service.serviceacl_api.jar  bc.rf.runtime_api.jar                        bc.sf.framework_api.jar
    bc.sf.service.scheduler_api.jar
    bc.util.private_api.jar
    bc.util.public_api.jar
    for repository actions and for Security take these two into account:
    com.sap.security.api.ep5.jar
    com.sap.security.api.jar
    Javadocs for the KM-API, e.g. SPS15:
    https://media.sdn.sap.com/javadocs/NW04/SPS15/km/index.html
    From there you can start and simply search for the class-files within SAP-jars if you need anything else.
    Hope it helps,
    regards

  • Which jar files should I use for XSLT?

    I'm trying to do one of the examples from the Java/XML tutorial on this site. I can't get it to work. I started with the JAXP jar file and couldn't compile because it couldn't find one of the classes it needed. • Jar File executes without the CLASSPATH being set???

    Hello all:
    I have been writing an application with JBuilder 4.0 Professional. I have finished the program and then let JBuilder create a JAR file. About the first 5 times I created the JAR file, I could never get it to execute from the command line. However, the last time I created the JAR file, I doubled clicked on it and it executed by using javaw. I had the CLASSPATH pointing to the file. I later removed the CLASSPATH variable, and the JAR file still executed. My MANIFEST.MF file includes the package name(not classpath) and the main class(which contains the public static void main method).
    I installed the JAR file and the JRE on another computer and it would not work. Can anyone give me some information??? Thanks in advance.

    probably this is due to the fact on your windows explorer under view - options, File Types tab you have the executable jar file pointing to a jdk.
    click on Executable Jar File and click edit then click on open in the Actions box (if this isn't here then this isn't the reason, sorry) and click edit. a pop up will appear with the java exe path - this is what the app is running from.

  • JAR Files and Applets with Java Plug-In

    This seems to be a basic question, but I can't figure it out! I have a jar file that contains all my class files for my applet. The jar file is in the same directory as the following html file:
    <html>
    <body>
    <OBJECT classid="clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93"
    WIDTH = 700 HEIGHT = 510 codebase="http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.3.1/jinstall-131-win32.cab#Version=1,3,1,0">
    <PARAM NAME = ARCHIVE VALUE = "myFiles.jar" >
    <PARAM NAME = CODE VALUE = "MainView.class" >
    <PARAM NAME="type" VALUE="application/x-java-applet;jpi-version=1.3.1">
    <PARAM NAME="scriptable" VALUE="false">
    </OBJECT>
    </body>
    </html>
    I've checked the jar file, it's the same name. MainView.class is most certainly in the jar file - yet everytime I open the page up, I get the class not found error:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.FileNotFoundException
    MainView.class (The system cannot find the file specified)
    If I don't jar the files, the applet works fine - but I want to jar them as it's some 20 class files. What am I doing wrong?

    I've had a similar problem where it pops up the Java Extension Installation window, and starts downloading. Everything appears normal, but when it tries to run the applet it gets "load: class <className> not found" where <className> is the name of the class in my CODE parameter.
    It appears that on occasion the download of the jar gets cut off. When I searched the browser's cache, I find a jar file that has fewer bytes than it should. In order to initiate a retry, you have to delete the jar file from your browser's cache, close all your browser windows so that the Plug-in with its truncated jar file stops running, and load the HTML page again. It appears that it checks the timestamp of the jar file in your cache and the one on the server and decides that it doesn't need to download it again. But if you delete it from your cache, it forces a retry.
    I never have this problem when I open from my hard drive. I've never had the problem with a cable modem connection. I've had it once from a corporate LAN hitting an internet server (ie., outside corporate WAN). I've had people report the problem with dial-up connections. My theory is that whatever Sun is using to download the applet is more sensitive than either HTTP download or FTP.
    Has anybody else experienced this problem? Is there anything you can do about it? I couldn't find a bug report on it. Is there one?

  • How do I remove "All My Files" icons from the toolbar?

    Good Afternoon:
    I have A shiny new 15" MBPro that came preinstalled with Lion that I have updated to 10.7.1.
    If I open a finder window, there are two "All My Files" icons on either side of the toolbar. I asked a Genius about it and they said they had never seen that. I can remove "All My Files" from the list of Favorites on the left easily enough. I can open up the window to customize the ToolBar, but in that window there are no "All My Files" icons available to add or delete.
    How do I remove the "All My Files" icons from the toolbar?
    Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
    Below is a screenshot of the problem.

    Sort of surprised they didn't know. I'm lost as to why that even appeared on your computer unless you had put them there yourself which, clearly, you didn't if it was brand new out of the box.
    Glad it's sorted out.

  • Error while reading file entries from the database

    Hi there,
    We are running a instance of xmii 12 in a VM (VMware) and after somebody shutdown the host machine without shutting down the VM (great idea isn't it?) we keep getting this message when trying to access xMII:
    "Application cannot be started.
      Details:   com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.ExceptionInfo: Error while reading file entries from the database."
    Any clue? Any suggestion on how we can recover from that?
    Thanks a whole lot,
    Dom

    Well thanks for the hint. Actually, the DB was up but corrupted. I managed to solve the bug by re-deploying xMII (using the SDM tool) which kept all my data but redeployed both the config db of (x)mii and the class files.
