Which of database list i need to backup sharepoint

I'm trying to deploy SharePoint server in Azure according this article (msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn275957.aspx).
And I have a question about databases that I need to backup. I have more than 20 bases in the databases node.
Do I need to backup all of them? Is there among these bases unnecessary or temporary bases which don't need to backup? Or I need to backup Sharepoint_config database only?

Hi all,
You can follow this guide: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee428327(v=office.15).aspx

  • Database won't start ... need to backup data

    Hi,
My Oracle 10g Database in an heart beat stop working (I unplugged the network cable and now even with the cable on it won't start ... I've restarted computer lot's of times....) I've wasted too many time triyng to get this thing to work....
I need URGENTLY to uninstall and reinstall the 10g database but first I need to backup all of the data. What do I need to do to acomplish this? Is it enough to do a copy of the D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\oradata with all datafiles or do I need something else?
As I mentioned my idea is to copy all that I need to restore the database after reinstalling Oracle 10g.
Please point me a light... I'm completely lost here....

I forgot to tell an important detail - I have an HTML DB application in my PC that I also must backup. I think that all HTML DB data is in the ORADATA, but I'm not sure... can anyone tell me anything about this?

    Hi.
To reinstall the database will not give you the html db repository back as far as I am concerned. If you are not able to bring up the current database, I don't see how you will be able to restore your html db data after creating a new database.
If you are able to get the old database up, I assume you can export the FLOWS_010600 and FLOWS_FILES schema and import them into the newly created database. (Keep the database name the same as the original to awoid reconfiguring the html db ORACLE_HOME). I have not done this in this particular matter, but uses this procedure for moving and upgrading databases.
You also have to create the user HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER wich don't own objects. From my installation I can see that these users have a severe amount of system privs and object privs, so anyhow, your in for a severe amount of manuall work.
To manually create users, execute spool result from following query:
select 'create user '||username||' identified by values '''||password||''' default tablespace '||default_tablespace||' temporary tablespace temp account unlock;' from dba_users where username in ('FLOWS_010600','FLOWS_FILES','HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER')
Assign sys privs to these users by executing spools:
    SQL> select 'grant '||privilege||' to '||grantee from dba_sys_privs where grantee in ('FLOWS_010600'
    ,'FLOWS_FILES','HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER');
Assign object privs the same way:
    SQL> select 'grant '||privilege||' on '||owner||'.'||table_name||' to '||grantee from dba_tab_privs
    where grantee in ('FLOWS_010600','FLOWS_FILES','HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER');
    Now roles;
    SQL> select 'grant '||granted_role||' to '||grantee from dba_role_privs where grantee in ('FLOWS_010
    600','FLOWS_FILES','HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER');
You also have to create public synonyms, as these are not part of a schema import:
    Run the following query and use the spool result to create public synonyms;
    select 'create public synonym '||synonym_name||' for '|| table_owner||'.'||table_name from dba_synonyms where table_owner in ('FLOWS_010600','FLOWS_FILES')
Alle these sql querys has to be run on the target database, i.e. the database where html db is installed today.
So, the sequence of the entire operations is:
    1) Execute a full export of the old target database as system user setting full=y
    2) Execute all these queries described over. store the result in separate files.
    3) Execute a full offline backup of old target database
    4) Recreate database with same name as old target database
    5) Verify that tablespace that is html db users default tablespace exist in new database.
    6) Create users with script
    7) Assing roles and system privileges with script.
    8) Import using full=n fromuser=FLOWS_010600 TOUSER=FLOWS_010600.
    9) Import using full=n fromuser=FLOWS_FILES TOUSER=FLOWS_FILES
    10) Assign object privileges using script
    11) Create public synonyms using script
    12) Start html db with opmnctl startall and verify that you are able to connect and data exists.
    Good luck

  • Which two operattions do you need to perform after restoring---QNo.106

In your database, all the tablespace are locally managed. You started RMAN using recovery catalog and restoring the contol file by using the following command:
    RMAN>RESTORE CONTROLFILE;
which two operations do you need to perform after restoring the control file from backup?(choose two)
    A. shut down and restart the instance
    B. add new tempfiles to the temporary tablespaces after recovery
    C. perform a media recovery and open the database with the RESETLOGS option
    D. perform a media recovery and bring the database to NOARCHIVELOG mode

This question is a little ambiguous.
C is a correct answer when restoring a control file

Restrictions and Usage Notes for RESTORE CONTROLFILE
After you restore a backup control file, you must run RECOVER DATABASE and then open the database with the RESETLOGS option.
    B. If you were restoring a database from a backup you would need to create the temp files because temp files are not backed up.

  • How to handle RunTime Faults which doesn't list under System Faults?

    Hi,
I have a doubt regarding runtime faults in BPEL 1.1.In BPEL 1.1 some of the run time faults are categorised as system faults. So we can handle those run time faults
using the faultname or namespace(http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension) of system fault itself. But 'SublanguageExecutionFault' is a run time fault which doesn't list under system faults.
So what namespace it belongs to?Can we use the same namespace of system fault for this kind of runtime faults ?
Are any other runtime faults existing which don't have the same namespace of sytem faults? So how can we identify and handle those run time faults?

You can create a role menu as remote enabled remote menu.
The authority checks will happen on the remote side, also against objects which don't exist in the calling system as the music is on the other side.
On the RFC client system side, you only need the parameter transaction to start the remote transaction in the remote system.
See the documentation on SYST function module ABAP4_CALL_TRANSACTION.
This is however a rather antiquated technology... it is more popular to use a SAP Portal or webdynpro applications for this sort of thing (the user does not notice the difference) or later versions of such integration such as Fiori UIs or imbedded links within the Business Client.
I don't want to lean out the window too far, but the buggy phase of these new things is approaching an end and they are usable if you are on newer releases. Then you can pool the menu and use APIs for navigation and no more irritating S_TCODE checks.

  • Hi, I am using my icloud on my iphone but am unable to find it on my mac book pro. It's not under my system preferences like it shows under the setup. Can I download it again? Or something. I just need to backup some files on my computer and am unable.

Hi, I am using my icloud on my iphone but am unable to find it on my mac book pro. It's not under my system preferences like it shows under the setup. Can I download it again? Or something. I just need to backup some files on my computer and am unable.

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is now non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
    The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:
    OS X v10.6.8 or later
    2GB of memory
    8GB of available space
      and the supported models are:
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).
You should be aware that PPC programs (such as AppleWorks) will not run on Lion or above; and some other applications may not be compatible - there is a useful compatibility checklist at http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

  • Which GUI elements do I need to use in this example?

    Hi,
I'm new to J2ME development, and i'm looking to make a simple MIDlet which retrieves a list of items via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth part of this is irrelevant for the time being, I would like to make a skeletal GUI for this system first. I know the things I require in the GUI, but i'm not sure what these are called under J2ME and how I link them together. These are the 5 stages I need in my GUI:
    1. A screen is shown which just contains a PNG file, which acts as a splash screen. After a set amount of time, say 2 seconds, or when a key is pressed, this disappears and shows...
    2. A "Searching..." alert. I can create simple alerts sign text and the info icon, but is it possible to add a Guage to this? It would be nice to have something moving to let the user know that the phone is searching. It is searching for the Bluetooth server to get the list of items from - but for now, this could just be timed for 2 seconds to similuate the searching process. When the server is found (or for this skeletal system, once the 2 seconds are up)...
    3. A screen showing a list of items that have been retrieved. This will be an implicit list, and I think I can manage this part myself. When one of the items is selected, the MIDlet shows...
    4. Another implicit list allowing them to select an option for that item, e.g. Yes, No, Maybe. When selected...
    5. Another alert, "Selection recorded", and they are returned to stage 3.
I am confused by which items need to be in a Canvas, Screen, Form etc. I have the "Learning Wireless Java" book, which has helped a bit, but it doesn't give me much information on how to move from one "screen" to another. Would all of the above be in the same class, and I just switch between which screen is active?
I'm just looking for your ideas on how to best implement the above, as i'm stuck! All help is very much appreciated :)
    Cheers,
    Nick

There is no 1 way to implement anything. But to keep your program small, do not create too many classes.
For navigation, I generally like to keep a string that tracks which screen I'm in, and react accordingly. But that's personal preference.
    Here's a slightly different way:
    http://developers.sun.com/techtopics/mobility/midp/ttips/listdetail/index.html
    1. A screen is shown which just contains a PNG file,
which acts as a splash screen. After a set amount of
time, say 2 seconds, or when a key is pressed, this
disappears and shows...Splash screens - I don't know if any other class allows you to display a screen for a specific amount of time other than an Alert. I usually use alerts... but link below is good reference for splash screens depending on what you're trying to achieve.
    http://java.sun.com/developer/J2METechTips/2001/tt0820.html
    2. A "Searching..." alert. I can create simple
alerts sign text and the info icon, but is it
possible to add a Guage to this? It would be nice to
have something moving to let the user know that the
phone is searching. It is searching for the
Bluetooth server to get the list of items from - but
for now, this could just be timed for 2 seconds to
similuate the searching process. When the server is
found (or for this skeletal system, once the 2
seconds are up)...You can add Gauges to Alerts. Use Alert.SetIndicator (gauge) for this.
I am confused by which items need to be in a Canvas,
Screen, Form etc. I have the "Learning Wireless
Java" book, which has helped a bit, but it doesn't
give me much information on how to move from one
"screen" to another. Would all of the above be in
the same class, and I just switch between which
screen is active?Canvas: low-level objects that allow the app to provide graphics and handle input
Screen: high level objs (ie. alert, textbox, list, form)
You can append any Item, Image or String to a form.
Examples of classes that inherit from javax.microedition.lcdui.Item would be StringItem, ChoiceGroup, Gauge, CustomItem, ImageItem.... etc.
    Good luck!

  • I have to replace my hard drive as it is failing, I'm away and just bought a new external HD for backups,,only problem is it is fsiling to backup without a reason. Disk utility says ex HD is ok. I need to backup before i get it repaired. Any Advice?

Hi my hard drive is failing and I'm overseas in Thailand. I bought a Buffalo 1TB to back up my mac 13inch HD version 10.6.8, only problem is it wont back up. Disk Utility says ex HD is fine. I need to backup before I take it for repairs. What can I do? Thanks advice appreciated. NL

I think we both had our wires crossed a little.
Then just go ahead and clone your internal drive to your Buffalo. You are not going to use Time Machine, and you do not have to partition it. So ignore all that stuff I posted. Let me start from scratch.
First check that your Buffalo drive is partitioned GUID and formatted Mac OS Extended, Journaled. So open Disk Utility, select the topmost entry for the Buffalo drive. You should see something like this:
I have selected the entry of my CalDigit drive.  Note that the Partition Map Scheme is GUID. Now, select the volume (mine is "System Backup."
Here you see it is a Format type of Mac OS Extended, Journaled. If that's what you see then you are good to go.
    With Disk Utility still open:
Clone using Restore Option of Disk Utility
      1. Open Disk Utility in the Utilities folder.
      2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
      3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
      4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to
          the Destination entry field.
      5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
          the Source entry field.
      6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the Buffalo drive. Source means the internal startup drive.

  • Do I need to backup my files when upgrading from tiger to leopard?

Not sure if I need to backup all my files before upgrading from Tiger to Leopard (to use a Mac Box Set), have bought a Seagate 1TB FreeAgent GoFlex Home hard drive to back up on. Was told I wouldn't need a WiFi router but have now discovered I would need a dual Ethernet port to be connected to the internet and the hard drive which my Mac mini only has access for one, either the internet or the hard drive. So I ask do I really need to back up before upgrading? or can you get dual Ethernet ports?

Only if your data has any value to you.
If everything works perfectly, you should lose nothing.
If anything goes wrong, it is possible to lose data.
Personally I don't want to trust my data to everything working perfectly so I back it up.
As to the question of dual ethernet ports, you don't need them actually. If you create a LAN with a router then the multiple ports on your router will allow you to connect to both the internet and disk at once.

  • How to defined which logical database to use in a function module?

    Hey,
I am trying to do logical database in a function module. I need to know where do i go to define which logical database to use? Becuase i get syntax error on my Get statement. The logical database i am trying to use is HR PNP .
Any useful help will be appreciated,
    Thanks

I think we can't assign logical database to FM or FG. Because there isn't any option to put the logical database in the FM or FG's attributes.
You must have to create a executable report to have the LDB in use.

X423424X's question is pertinent too: you usually need to repair permissions after some major upgrade or update, not on a regular basis. Is there a particular reason why you'd often try to repair permissions? Here's more on the subject.
Repairing permissions after an update or upgrade is harmless, but I would question the need to do it even there. The Apple update itself should set the correct Permissions. I still do this, really as a hangover from Tiger days -- not certain it was really ever needed there either -- and because it's a habit that's hard to kick, but it's never found anything to repair...but for one buggy exception, which was the 10.5.8 Combo update. Running it once and then repairing Permissions created a real error. It was discovered the Combo needed to be run twice back to back and then Permissions repair. In fact, one would have been better off not running Permissions for that update to begin with. There it wasn't harnless.

BTW, even Flash updates, which always used to set incorrect Permissions, are coming in clean these days.

  • Automated export appearing on database list

    Hello,
I have an Azure SQL Database (Web edition) with an automated export set for daily exports.
Sometimes (like today for instance) when I log into Azure management portal, I see an additional database listed with the name of my export.
As far as I know, an export should not be listed as a new available database, right?
Why this is happening and how can I fix that?
    Thank you,
    Igor
.NET Software developer for industrial internet and automation system.

    Hello Igor,
Thank you for asking this question.
The Automated Export service creates a database copy of the database you are exporting. It then will perform the export operation on the copy of the database. This is done to guarantee transaction consistency during the export. After the export has completed
the database copy will be deleted.
You can learn more about Import/Export and Automated Export here https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/hh335292.aspx
Additionally if you are interested in our Basic, Standard, or Premium service tiers, they come with built-in restore capabilities.
You can learn more about these capabilities and other business continuity capabilities here https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/hh852669.aspx
If you would like to share more about your scenario or discuss Azure SQL Database's backup and restore capabilities in further detail please email me at Elfish at Microsoft dot com.
Thanks and I hope this helps,

  • Database list in rsp database setting configuration

    Dear Experts
When I see the Databases list in RSP under Configuration -> Databases -> Databases tab,
it shows me already not existing and old version databases.
I did an upgrade from SBO 2004.2B PL75 ,an old fashioned version to 8.81 PL09.
When I see in SBO's company selection screen, there is only one database (ex: AA) with version 881317.
But when I see in RSP, it shows AA with version 730277 and other old databases which are already deleted from SQL Server.
Because of this problem, I cannot do run the  "System Data Service" in RSP. it shows compatible as X.
It seems the old database information comes from SBO-COMMON.
My customer is using SQL Server 2005 std.
Do someone know how to solve this problem?
    Regards
    Gen Okazaki

I created a massage to SAP ,get the answer and it has fixed.

  • Love TM but need to backup files onto fat32 disk...?

    Hi,
I have loved using TM (so simple) but I need my backup disk to be readable on friends PC's = need fat32 disk. I guess TM just can't backup on fat32 disks.
Do you know of any TM like option to backup mac files onto fat32 disks (without creating a backup file you can only browse through your backup application)?
    Thanks
    Lionel

Most backup utilities will backup files to a FAT formatted drive although you cannot create a bootable backup on one. You might try one of the following:
    Backup Software Recommendations
My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
    1. Retrospect Desktop (Commercial - not yet universal binary)
    2. Synchronize! Pro X (Commercial)
    3. Synk (Backup, Standard, or Pro)
    4. Deja Vu (Shareware)
    5. Carbon Copy Cloner (Freeware)
    6. SuperDuper! (Commercial)
    7. Intego Personal Backup (Commercial)
    8. Data Backup (Commercial)
If you have a .Mac account you can try Apple's Backup which comes free with the .Mac subscription. You download it from your iDisk.
Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQs on maintenance, optimization, virus protection, and backup and restore. Also read How to Back Up and Restore Your Files.
You may find it more convenient overall to use a separate drive specifically for use on both a PC and Mac, and use a different drive for your TM backup.
