hi,
if i type http://localhost:8080/
then which path will it access
i have the tomcat in the directory called
d:\jakarta-tomcat-4.1.12\
please help me
from
darshan soni

if you can see the index.jsp page, you have the response else, look your user config file (/conf/tomcat-users.xml) :
If you're seeing this page via a web browser, it means you've setup Tomcat successfully. Congratulations!
As you may have guessed by now, this is the default Tomcat home page. It can be found on the local filesystem at:
$CATALINA_HOME/webapps/ROOT/index.html
where "$CATALINA_HOME" is the root of the Tomcat installation directory. If you're seeing this page, and you don't think you should be, then either you're either a user who has arrived at new installation of Tomcat, or you're an administrator who hasn't got his/her setup quite right. Providing the latter is the case, please refer to the Tomcat Documentation for more detailed setup and administration information than is found in the INSTALL file.
NOTE: For security reasons, using the administration webapp is restricted to users with role "admin". The manager webapp is restricted to users with role "manager". Users are defined in $CATALINA_HOME/conf/tomcat-users.xml.
Included with this release are a host of sample Servlets and JSPs (with associated source code), extensive documentation (including the Servlet 2.3 and JSP 1.2 API JavaDoc), and an introductory guide to developing web applications.
Tomcat mailing lists are available at the Jakarta project web site:

Thanks for using Tomcat!

  • Which path of AddOnInstallAPI_x64.dll for 64 bit of SAP B1 9.0?

    Hi Everybody,
Can u explain which path of AddOnInstallAPI_x64.dll for 64 bit of SAP B1 9.0 Version?
Please share the download path for AddOnInstallAPI_x64.dll for 64 bit of SAP B1 9.0 Version.
When am creating ARD fie for 64 bit of SAP B1 9.0 , By Right Click on the Project Properties-->compile-->Advanced Compile Options-->X64.
Once created ARD file, then i opened "C:\Users\User1\Desktop\ARDFile\ARDname\ARDname\ARDname\AddOnRegDataGenFile"
While double click on the "windows Batch file"(AddOnRegDataGen), it automatically generates ARD file and EXE File.
In ARD file, Edit the ARD file--> Change the Platform "N" to "X". whereas EXE file could not change the 64 bit.
Hence the error shows in SAP b1 "Addon exception or "Incorrect string format".
    Please fix this issue ASAP.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Which path will be the perfect in MCSD for me to deal with SQL Server Stuff ?

I intended to be a SQL Server developer and Administrator , but I planning to take MCSD before MCSA SQL Server 2012 , to help me to developing a full solutions to any database system , but I found MCSD certificate had more than one path
    First Path
MCSD: Windows Store Apps Using C# :
    Exam 70-483
     - Manage program flow (25%)
     - Create and use types (24%)
     - Debug applications and implement security (25%)
     - Implement data access (26%)
    Exam 70-484
     - Design Windows Store apps (20-25%)
     - Develop Windows Store apps (15-20%)
     - Create the user interface (20-25%)
     - Program the user interaction (20-25%)
    Manage security and data (20-25%)
    Exam 70-485
     - Develop Windows Store apps (15–20%)
     - Discover and interact with devices (15–20%)
     - Program user interaction (15–20%)
     - Enhance the user interface (15–20%)
     - Manage data and security (15–20%)
     - Prepare for a solution deployment (15–20%)
    Second Path
    MCSD: Web Applications
    Exam 70-480
     - Implement and manipulate document structures and objects (24%)
     - Implement program flow (25%)
     - Access and secure data (26%)
     - Use CSS3 in applications (25%)
    Exam 70-486
     - Design the application architecture
     - Design the user experience
     - Develop the user experience
     - Troubleshoot and debug web applications
     - Design and implement security
    Exam 70-487
     - Accessing data (24%)
     - Querying and manipulating data by using the Entity Framework (20%)
     - Designing and implementing WCF Services (19%)
     - Creating and consuming Web API-based services (18%)
     - Deploying web applications and services (19%)
The question now which path I must take before I delve into MCSA SQL Server 2012 will help me more in the database world and sharp my skills as a database developer and administrator in the future and  will help me to create or develope a full solutions
to any database system in the future , and also this path will be related more to database world and more valuable in the job market
In other words, Which path contain alot of work with databases and SQL stuff , will help me in SQL Server , Please Help
Mohamed Ahmed Database Administrator & Developer

    Hi, MohamedDBA.
I agree with Horizon_Net that the MCSD: Web Applications certification would be best for your certification goals. Especially since you are concerned with becoming certified in the future of database development technologies.
Specifically, the 70-487 certification exam covers programming with WCF (for data access over the internet/intranet), Entity Framework (for data access anywhere), Web API (REST Services for data access over the internet/intranet), and Microsoft Azure
(for hosting databases, applications, and much more in the cloud). Most likely, you will be managing SQL Server databases in the cloud in your future.
I highly recommend that you swap 70-483 for 70-480, which will still count for the
MCSD: Web Applications certification. The 70-483 C# programming exam will be really useful while studying the C# language, which is used by the 70-486 and 70-487 exams. As well, just by passing this one exam, you will earn the title
Specialist: Programming in C# title. Here are the details (including the ability to swap the two exams, under
Additional Options) for this MCSD title:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/mcsd-web-apps-certification.aspx
I must warn you that the MCSA: SQL Server certification will require you to pass the 70-643 exam. It includes content on Microsoft Business Intelligence tools. Specifically, the 70-463 exam requires you to know SQL Server Integration Services
(SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Service (SSAS). Here are the details:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-70-463.aspx
Please know that the MCSA: SQL Server exams are based on SQL Server 2012 and will remain about SQL Server 2012. Only the four (MCSE) exams (two for each MCSE SQL Server title) are going to be updated to SQL Server 2014 in April 24th, 2014. Here are the details
    from Larry Kaye (Microsoft employee):
    http://borntolearn.mslearn.net/btl/b/weblog/archive/2014/03/10/certification-update-sql-server-2014.aspx
    Good luck!
    Best wishes, Davin Mickelson

You can also enable an SSL HTTP/1.1 Connector on port 8443 by
following the instructions below and uncommenting the second Connector

    * Download and install JSSE 1.0.2 or later, and put the JAR files
    into "$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/ext".
    * Execute:

$JAVA_HOME/bin/keytool -genkey -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA (Unix)
with a password value of "changeit" for both the certificate and
    the keystore itself.
By default, DNS lookups are enabled when a web application calls
request.getRemoteHost(). This can have an adverse impact on
performance, so you can disable it by setting the
"enableLookups" attribute to "false". When DNS lookups are disabled,
request.getRemoteHost() will return the String version of the
IP address of the remote client.

              Sessions.
saveOnRestart: If true, all active sessions will be saved
to the Store when Catalina is shutdown, regardless of
other settings. All Sessions found in the Store will be
loaded on startup. Sessions past their expiration are
    ignored in both cases.
maxActiveSessions: If 0 or greater, having too many active
sessions will result in some being swapped out. minIdleSwap
limits this. -1 means unlimited sessions are allowed.
0 means sessions will almost always be swapped out after
use - this will be noticeably slow for your users.
minIdleSwap: Sessions must be idle for at least this long
(in seconds) before they will be swapped out due to
maxActiveSessions. This avoids thrashing when the site is
highly active. -1 or 0 means there is no minimum - sessions
can be swapped out at any time.
maxIdleSwap: Sessions will be swapped out if idle for this
long (in seconds). If minIdleSwap is higher, then it will
override this. This isn't exact: it is checked periodically.
-1 means sessions won't be swapped out for this reason,
although they may be swapped out for maxActiveSessions.
If set to >= 0, guarantees that all sessions found in the
Store will be loaded on startup.
maxIdleBackup: Sessions will be backed up (saved to the Store,
but left in active memory) if idle for this long (in seconds),
and all sessions found in the Store will be loaded on startup.
If set to -1 sessions will not be backed up, 0 means they
should be backed up shortly after being used.
To clear sessions from the Store, set maxActiveSessions, maxIdleSwap,
and minIdleBackup all to -1, saveOnRestart to false, then restart
    Catalina.

  • Diary of my painful attempts to use a program for which I have the license

Hi: I will summarize my painful experience with Excelsius 2008 in the following diary
    4-2011:
Excelsius 2008 is working OK in the computer where it is installed.
    (5 months pass by)
    9-2011:
Excelsius 2008 shows that there is  a "mising or inactive" license and it does not run.
We contact SAP to get information on how to solve this issue.
Many emails go back and forth. Next goes an excerpt of one of them:
    10-11-2011:
"I have tried to reinstall and then run the update.  I still receive the same error message.  I went into control panel> add/remove programs>xcelsius 2008 to try and repair it and I receive the same error message.  Its strange that even when I try to remove it the program I receive the error message.  Help?"
    10-20-2011:
I am trying to reinstall my Excelsius 2008. The program is looking for a file called "xcelsius.msi" but it doesnot locate it. I direct the path to the place where the file is located. The program tells me that is not the one I am supposed to find.
I cannot unistall the program. I cannot use it either.
    10-21-2011:
I try to install the program from scratch in another computer following instructions given by SAP.
The program asks for key code activation. Enter the 26 characters string of data and program says that activation key code is not valid.
Try replacing the 0 for O, in all possible combinations, same message is displayed.
I need to use Xcelsius 2008 for my work, I have a valid license, and the program is not working.
    Can anybody help??
    Thank you,
    extremely unhappy customer

    Maiko,
I'm confess I'm still trying to get a handle on your problem. You do a fantastic job of describing it ... but I'm just trying to picture it accurately in my head.
I think, were I in your shoes, I'd begin by looking at what the debug page has to say for the specific destination in which you're interested in fixing. In other words, I'm not clear on where, exactly, this destination points ...
    Destination illinois.edu.1945806043
Is that your site, or the division within your site that you want to fix? "Normally", you do not need to specify a site handle to get to your site within your transfer CGI ... if you say "uillinois.edu", it's enough to transfer your users to iTunes U ... but every site still has a handle, and you could, if you wanted to, actually specify it in your transfer CGI. For example, this:
    Destination uic.edu.1139051993
is for my entire site ... it's my site handle. Whereas this:
    Destination uic.edu.1991288441
is for a division within my site ... but it's impossible to tell the difference between "site" and "division" from just the handle (I mean, if I didn't say "this is a site" and "this is a division", there'd be no way for you to know). So when I look at your creds and permissions on your debug page, I can't quite tell if they give you download access for your site, or for the specific division you want to fix. If you could open the debug page with your division as destination (or confirm that that's what we're looking at), it'd rule out some things.

  • How do i get the path of the file selected for opening in JFileChooser

    hi
I need to get the path of the file selected for opening or saving in the JFileChooser dialog box.Is there any method available.if not how do i get that?
    Thanks and Regards

don't know if its the best/only way, but you could use the getSelectedFile() method in JFileChooser which returns a file and then use the getAbsolutePath() file method

  • After completed as an MBA HR & System, Which module is the best for freshers ??

Hi,  I am Samrat Saha. I completed my post graduation as an MBA (HR&System). I did BCA in my graduation and did Higher secondary in commerce. I want to build my career in SAP. But I have some questions::
    1. If i go for SAP then which module is the best for me..??
    2. As a fresher is companies showing any interest to recruit..??
    3. I hard a Course from Victoria University, Melborn, That Is "Master of Business (Enterprise Resource planning System) with SAP".. Is this Master degree worthy to do??
Message was edited by: Sarah Kellman

    Hello Samrat,
It is not possible to provide guidance on what career path you should take.  This is a conversation you need to have with a Career Planner or perhaps one of your professors.  You should follow the path you are most interested in, be it a functional role or a technical role.  Ideally you may want to consider getting some work experience in both fields, and then determine which area you wish to pursue.
You state you have an MBA in HR & System....System what??  System development? Technology?  Programming?  Data Warehousing?  Even HR is a vast area within the SAP world.  We have Payroll, Recruiting, Self Services, Compensation, Time Management, Learning Management Systems, etc.  Most consultants select one or two areas to pursue.  There is no such thing as a single person who knows the complete SAP HR solution...it's just too big!
I will suggest that you consider taking an SAP HR course so that you can get an idea as to how large the application is.  There are lots of courses available in e-learning.  I would recommend either SAPHRE or HR050E to start.  Once you have completed one of these, you'll be in a better position to decide what you want to do, or at least decide what you don't want to do.
    Good Luck!

  • Path of the application which is entered in Viewer option

    Hi,
What is the path of the application that is entered in the viewer options. I basically want to see the applications that are available for the MIME types. Also is there a way by which we can add new applications.
Ex: Lets say I want to open the CP output directly in Notepad. Is there a way to achieve this. If notepad application is not there already is there a way to add the custom applications. Kindly let me know.
Kindly apologise if this is not the correct forum.
    Thanks

    Hi,
If you are referring to Oracle Apps concurrent request output viewer, check on the metalink note below:

first three steps I have done with the help of installer maker. let assume that my tomcat has been installed. but now please tell me how can I deploy my web application.
that's why I need the tomcat path.
please tell me.Well, if you've just installed Tomcat you do know where it is so what's the problem? Why not, in fact, include your application in the tomcat directories as you install them? That's all there is to installing tomcat, installing the directories, setting %JAVA_HOME% and (possibly) running the service.bat file.

  • Mod_webapp.so file for the tomcat 4.1.10

i have download the tomcat 4.1.10.
but if i want to use mod_webapp how can i compile or from where can i download the web_app.so file?
    thanks

First, you have to download sources for jakarta connectors, for example from http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-tomcat-4.0/release/v4.1.10/src/
The archive you need is named jakarta-tomcat-connectors-4.1.10-src.tar.gz
Unpack the sources and cd to webapp subdirectory. Now you have to create the 'configure' script. Just run:
    ./support/buildconf.sh
This should create an executable file named 'configure' in the current dir. Run ./configure --help to see available options. If you want to compile mod_webapp for Apache 2.0, you may use:
./configure --with-apxs=/opt/apache/sbin/apxs  (adjust your path to apache)
    After successfull configuration, run
    make
This will create mod_webapp.so in 'build' subdirectory.

I'm trying to take a vector object, say a flower, offset a path then get an independent vector path around the outside edge of the offset.
I take my flower, add a stroke, offset that stroke, then select Add from Pathfinder which gives me visually the exact offset perimeter shape I'm looking for.  The problem is that it isn't a vector path in it's own right.  Is there a way to get Illustrator to recognize the offset stroke as it's own vector path?
Please forgive me if my terminology is off as I'm not a formally trained graphic artist.

  • I have files that have been on my computer for over a year and all of a sudden they wont open and an error message comes up saying they were improperly downloaded or came in an email attach which is not the case

I have files that have been on my computer for over a year and I have used them several times and all of a sudden they wont open.  I received an error message saying they are improperly downloaded or came as an email attachement which is not the case.  Please advise

They seem to be word files - they will open if I choose "open with" microsoft word, but if I double click they don't open they are appearing as PDF on my screen.  I even opened one and then tried to "save as" making sure I chose .doc and they still appear as PDF
I just created a new document response.doc in word and when I saved to my desktop it appears as a PDF file and I absolutely did not create a PDF or save as PDF it was a simple word
    doc.
The message says "Adobe reader could not open response.doc because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example attached in an email and not properly decoded)
The reader version is I believe the most current, I always update when prompted.  OS is Windows 8
