in windows system , jvm.dll is the jvm program. but in Linux system,I don't know which program is the main program of jvm? Is java in bin directory only a classloader?

We can ask: how comes that "java" is a very small executable?

Which programs use the memory card?

Can anyone help me determine which programs use the memory card? My E90 won't connect in transfer mode because Pc Suite says there is an application using it. As far as I'm concerned, active notes and sms were the ones to blame. They specifically have the option to use the memory card. But I can't find it in other apps. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Various installed programs will run from your MMC in the background. I suggest you install and app called Best Taskman from www.symbianware.com.
Install this to your phone memory!
Now open it up, press options - view - advanced - processes
you will see all running processes and an icon next to them. If th icon looks like a memory card, then it is running from that. Press the "C" key on each MMC running process to close them.
Now you'll be able to connect via mass storage.
I recommend making a note of which apps these are and re-installing them to your phone memory instead. Also, any app you know will have a feature required to tun in the background, ensure this is installed on the phones memory!

After the creation of TR copies in CRMD_ORDER transaction, some texts are displaying under GENERAL NOTE section. Could you tell me which program creates this text and also which table stores this text?

The development system log text differs from the production system log text after the creation of TR copies. In development system we are getting 'copies transported for requests NEW TR (COPIED TR)' and in production system we are getting 'Test transport NEW TR (COPIED TR) created'. How to solve this problem..?

A "program" called workflow.
Basically you need to investigate the workflow log to see if there is some step that takes lot of time to execute. If you find the step, then you can investigate/debug the method that the step is executing.

How to run a java program in the JVM of an already running program?

As far as I know about JVM, each time we run a program a separate instance of JVM is created where the program runs. Correct me if I am wrong.
Is there any way for another program to execute itself in the same JVM?
Currently I am working on JFCUnit which is a tool used to automate swing applications. I am trying to automate JConsole.
If I open "JConsole.exe" through a program and then try to get the handles using JFCUnit, things are not working.
If I use JConsole.jar in JDK/lib and create a new instance of JConsole and then try to get the handles using JFCUnit, I am able to proceed with automation.
But here comes the problem :-
The application which needs to be automated through JConsole requires it to be started with few arguments, which is as follows:

1. JFCunit could be made to recognize the JConsole.exe which would be running is a different JVM.

2. JConsole.jar to be used in a way so that it takes the required arguments, hereby an instance of JConsole would be created that too in the same JVM as that of the program.
I am more interested in the first solution as it would definitely be helpful in other projects as well.
Please let me know if any other solution is possible.

I can't print PDF files from the latest Firefox; asks which program created the files. None of the options listed will print the files, such as IRS forms. Running Mac OS 10.6.8.

I run Mac OS 10.6.8.
When I try to print a PDT file, such as an IRS form, Firefox opens a small dialog box asking what program was used to create the file I wish to print.No matter which of the selections I choose, the file will not print.
I have the latest Adobe Reader installed.
Note that these files always open normally in Safari.

Which program is the problem?

Trying to encode HD content that I'm watching on Windows Media Center. Every time I do this, the computer locks up and freezes completely, crashing the computer. It's odd. If I encode HD content but at 640x360, it works. If I encode SD content but in a 640x360 or a 1280x720 window, it works. But if I do HD content at this size, the computer freezes.
I have Windows 7, with an i7 920, 4GB RAM, so I should have plenty of power to do this. I installed the TV Pack for Windows about 6 months ago before Windows 7 came out as i'm watching QAM channels. This might be the source of the problem as I've heard lots of people complain about the TV pack.
I'm capturing using VhScrCap. I've tried going into all these programs and setting their compatibailty to various settings, but I can't pinpoint the problem. Capturing 1920x1080 with VhScrCap and Adobe FME works, but put Windows Media Center in there in a larger window than 640x360 showing HD content and the computer freezes.
Anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might be or how I would diagnose this?

I was watching HDTV on a 1280x720 video in Windows Media Center. When I opened up Adobe Flash Player to watch a video, the computer crashed.
Now I am thinking there is a program compatibility issue between Adobe and WMC HD content. Is this due to TV Pack?

Is it possible to record the actions of the jvm running a program,as binary.My idea was if you could record the way the jvm executes a program as binary, you could try running the binary on a similar architecuture without the jvm thus ultimately running the program without the jvm.

I understand that the jvm operates based on a stack architecture,pushing the values in each stack frame on to the processors registers for executing the corresponding instruction(s).
so is it possible to modify the jvm itself to dump stack structure somewhere so, that the same could be done without constructing the stack each time.

It isn't possible in any language (major.)
A running programming consists of inputs which are conditionally processed. Recording what the application does on one pass does not allow for different conditionals on a second pass.
Simple macro recorders in editors succeed at this because they are simple and there is no conditional processing.
There are however java compilers which are supposed to produced machine op codes rather than byte codes. Those would allow one to run with a VM if they actually do compile to machine codes (despite their claims some do not really do that.) Such a compiler would need a compiled version of the Java API as well.

What programs off the cd do you use?

I am curious as to which programs off the cd that comes with the motherboard everyone uses. I myself have only installed the Live Update program, and I originally downloaded the 5.03 drivers, instead of using those off the cd. But do people use any of the other programs or utilities? How is the anitvirus software that comes with it, for instance?

Other than the required drivers, I only use Core Center.

My daughter is 14 and has learnt Photoshop. She also loves art and has a Bamboo tablet and Manga Studio. She also posts her blogs on Youtube using iMovie.She is thinking of making her own web page.
I am wondering which programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud would be best for her to learn next and as I am very much a text person, feel a bit overwhelmed looking at the complexity of some of these programs. However, I get the feeling that there is a lot of crossover knowledge once you have learnt one.
So my questions are .... should she keep on learning more about Photoshop, or move on to Illustrator (the last thing she did was design a T-shirt for a sponsored run in her school this week - so if you hit me with vector-graphic questions I will run away ), or do something else. Should she stretch iMovie until she has to move on to something else or would she have fun learning... what?...
Should she start her website with something like WordPress and scale up, or should she start learning Muse or Dreamweaver or both, or have the fun of bouncing things around the screen using Edge Animate, or is that more for professionals once they have a solid knowlege of.... what? . From what I have read, Flash is becoming a thing of the past so presumably no worth learning any of the Flash suite, or-......I want her to have fun and express her creative side. She also likes Maths so does not necessarily have to be shielded from a little bit of coding, but ideally it woudl be great if she could learn useful skills for the future as well as being creative.
Not sure if there is a better discussion forum than the Photoshop one, and this is my first post, but perhaps you will forgive me and thank you in advance for any tips.

Unless you can find an open source ODBC driver for SQL Server that runs on Solaris (and I wouldn't be overly hopeful there) Heterogeneous Services would require that you license something-- a third party ODBC driver, a new Oracle instance, or an Oracle Transparent Gateway.
As I stated below, you could certainly use SQL Server's ETL tool, DTS. Oracle's ETL tools would require additional licensing since you're just on 9.2. You could also write a small application (Java or otherwise) that connected to both databases and transferred the data. If you're particularly enterprising, you could load the SQL Server Type 4 JDBC driver into Oracle's JVM and write a Java stored procedure that connected to the SQL Server database via JDBC, but that's a pretty convoluted approach.
