Which type of code sign should I buy? simple of EV one?

Hi,
I have a desktop application which I need to publish to windows store. I have signed for developer account but now I need to sign my desktop app and for this I need to buy code sign certificate. I have decided to buy digicert one, but my question is which type
of code sign will I require? There is two types, one simple and one EV code sign.
Will simple code sign serve my purpose of submitting my current desktop app to windows store?
Also can I use the same simple code sign certificate (not EV code sign) to sign my metro style apps created by me later?
Thanks.

Some will say none. That they have never used a screen protector and never will. Others always use them. I'm one of the latter. I have a Zagg screen protector on my iPad. They are expensive but they come with a lifetime warranty, so if it gets damaged protecting your device they exchange it for free.
I have found that you get what you pay for with screen protectors. Buy a cheap thing off amazon, you'll get a cheap thing that probably won't stay on your device.

Unless it's an American Express card, in which case it's a 4-digit number on the front of the card.

I have snow leopard 10.6.8 and want to get on iCloud which requires Lion... should I buy Lion at $29.99 now and upgrade to Mountain Lion when available (I can't see where it is available for download yet) and what is cost of upgrade to Mountain Lion?   Or should I simply wait for Mountain Lion?

I would wait for Mountain Lion to be released. According to Apple, Mountain Lion will be released by end of July 2012.
It will cost you only $19.99 to upgrade. You can find all the details at the following link...

  • Which type of text field should I use?

I am having a problem selecting the best object to use to display and control text. If I use a TextArea component, I have problems controling it with code and I hate getting caught up in Hbox and VBox layout issues. Also, I cannot seem to generate a TextArea in ActionScript. However, I can create a listener with a valueCommit event which allows me to respond to changes to its content. Can I create a TextArea with AS?
On the other hand, I can generate a TextField with AS and then control exactly where it appears, but I cannot find an event that allows me to respond when the contents of the TextField changes. Is there an event that responds when the contents of a TextField changes dynamically?
    Thanks for your time.

TextField is smaller and faster.  It should dispatch a CHANGE event when the user types, but no event if you programmatically set the text.
It also depends on whether you need scrollbars or not.  You can certainly create a TextArea in AS3.

  • Which Type of Airport Card Should I Use

I have a Flat-Panel iMac Early 2003 G4 and I want to set it up on a wireless network. I currently do not have an airport card and I wanted to know what kind I should use the regular or extreme.

You have to determine which G4 variant you have--some use the original card and later ones use the Extreme.
Assuming you have OS 10.3 or later, Do "About this Mac..." from the Apple menu and, in the resulting window, click "More Info..." That brings up the very useful System Profiler. The first Profiler screen you see is Hardware Overview and holds your answer.
Look at the line, "Machine Model"--could also say "Machine Identifier" if you have Leopard OS, but should be the second line. If the code is "PowerMac4,2" or "PowerMac4,5" you neeed the original Airport card. If it's "PowerMac6,1" or higher, your iMAc takes teh Extreme card.

  • Which iPod touch 5G color should I buy, red or black?

I am really having a hard time choosing the color because I have grown into the black color around the screen, and that only comes with the black. But I really like the red backing, and if I get that I will have a hard time growing into the white surrounding. Which color should I get?

if I get that I will have a hard time growing into the white surrounding.
    Only you would know that.

  • What type of wireless card should I buy?

Does anyone have suggestions on what type of wlan card I should buy for my MSI K8T Neo FSR Board? I currently have a D-Link DWL-G520, and it crashes the system, so I need something new. Thanks!

I always seem to have problems with internal PCI cards from D-Link Netgear Linksys (the list goes on), but I have never ran into a problem with external cards. I currently use a linksys and my friend uses a D-Link. One benefit of going external is, obviously you can move it from computer to computer without a problem, also if you are getting a bad signal you can move it to a different spot. I have always felt that having a card in the back of your computer with all the electrical interference caused by the computer is something I don't want to deal with.
    Good Luck

    It depends...
USB adapters can sometimes freeze up. I've had this problem with a Belkin 802.11b, and Motorola 802.11g adapters. I still think they are great because you can move the adapter around, and far from the PC, but PCI cards would be the most stable.
I think the ideal situation is a a/b/g PCMCIA card with a desktop pci adapter, so you can remove it for use with a laptop too. Also get a decent external antenna, and you'll want for nothing.
At least until 802.11n comes along....

  • Which case and FM Modulator should I buy

Well I've recently been given the chance to be able to afford buying an iPod and am wondering if anyone had advice as to which case and FM Modulator I should buy.
Keep in mind that I would like the case to protect the whole unit and I'm still unsure whether I'm buying the Nano or the new color iPods, so if you have info on either please feel free to let me know.
Also, as far as FM Modulators, I've heard that either the Monster or the Kensington are good, any clarification would be appreciated.

I preordered the Monster before it was produced and have been very pleased with it. I must ad, though, it seems to matter which car I use it in. I suppose that has to do with the auto/suv antenna placement or wiring within the vehicle. It has worked wonderfully in 2 GM SUV's. It has been horrible on ALL frequencies in a Porsche cabrio and Porsche SUV.
As an alternative, check the iPod accessories on Apple's web site and look at the iPod interfaces. I just got an Axxess (to directly connect the iPod to my factory radio). If I can figure out how to get it to work properly, it will be so much better than an FM modulator. If you decide to go that route, check eBay using search terms, "ipod interface." I got my new Axxess for about the same price as I paid for my Monster FM modulator!

  • Which version of PhotoShop Elements should I buy for Windows Vista Home Premium and from what source?

First time buying PhotoShop.  I need it for a project I'm involved with at my school, but I can't download Creative Cloud or PhotoShop Elements 13 because Vista is not supported by Adobe.  However, I find it easier to find a version more fit for my computer rather than upgrade it (I'll just be brief, it's not convenient AT THIS TIME for me to attempt to upgrade my PC, even if many believe it'd be better for me).
I was just planning on looking on Amazon for PhotoShop Elements PC boxes available and going with whatever version 11 or below that was at a good price.  Is this a good way to go or is there something special about purchasing CD's to download I need to be aware of?  Is buying from a source like Amazon rather than straight from Adobe putting me at risk for a phony version of PhotoShop Elements (though I was looking to buy a "new" box to avoid this if I can find some)?
I'm having trouble finding WHERE Adobe sells its products from its own website rather than Creative Cloud right now.  A link would very much be appreciated if such a place exists.  Thank you.

You can download a free trial version for PSE 10, 11 or 12 from this link:
    <Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10>
You can use this trial version for 30 days after which you will need to buy a boxed version from Amazon and use the serial number from the box to activate your trial version.
If, however, you complete your project in the next 30 days then you don't need to buy anything.  Money saved for something else.
    Good luck.

  • What type of hdd caddy should i buy for Envy 15 3040nr notebook?

    Hi everyone,
I'm considering to replace my optical drive with a ssd in my Envy 15 3040nr. Since I don't have much expeience it would be nice if somebody can share his on this subject. What I need is full specs on the caddy I should buy along with the measures.
    Thanks!

Some Envy 15 models came with second bay inside aleady but need reference your model against the service manual downloadable from hp at the support link on this site.
If you don't have model with second drive bay then indeed a caddy for optical bay is easy option.
Your optical bay is 9.5mm Sata interface & they are inustry standard so simple to buy.
    Example in link below >

  • Which Powerbook 15" travel sleeve should I buy?

I will be traveling to Europe with my 15" Powerbook in two weeks and I'm looking for a sleeve that I can put into my carry-on bag. I don't want to buy an entire laptop bag, so I'm looking for something that can hold my PB and a couple accessories, like an AC adapter and mouse.
The three that I have been looking at are the Incase Neoprene Sleeve, the
Incase Nylon Laptop Sleeve and the Marware Sportfolio. The Incase Neoprene Sleeve looks nice, but it seems like it's too soft and doesn't have much protection in case of an impact. The Marware Sportfolio looks better with a plastic shell and a handle, making it easier to carry it around.
Can anyone recommend any of these?

    Hi Francis,
You might find this recent thread on PowerBook sleeves and form-fitting neoprene cases useful:

  • Which HD for Time Machine should I buy?

    Here are my thoughts:
I've seen people complain about so many drives, I was wondering if anyone has a drive that has worked for more than 5 or 6 months.
I would prefer FireWire 800 or 400 rather than USB.
I would prefer a QUIET drive WITH a fan - there have been issues which I think may be fan related.
My first drive was a Seagate FreeAgent Desktop 320 GB. It stopped working ater 4 month. Hooking it up now lags my Mac and makes it crash. It's that bad.
I just want a good, affordable drive that works.
Oh yes, and I would prefer it to automatically turn on/off with my Mac.
    Thanks!

Well. I've been using LaCie d2's some of them for years without an issue with them. Also, a good brand is the Mercury Elite from OWC. AFA turning on and off with your Mac, that is pot luck The same drives on one system will turn off and on another not. But it's really not an issue as within 15 minutes of inactivity they spin down.

  • What type of dvd's should i buy to back up my data?

I know the answer to this is prolly the kind that is on apple's website. But I was wondering what brand of recordable dvd'd people have had good luck with. Thank you very much for your time
    Macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I have always had the best luck with either TDK (preferred) or Fuji. I have yet to burn a coaster with either brand.
There is a nice brand commentary HERE and my experience seems to reflect what they have discovered.

  • Which type of Skype number should I have??

    Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to call Danish numbers from a Skype number, on a mobile phone with an Italian sim card inside - without being connected to the internet..?
I've already created a Skype number - and used it via my Italian mobile phone, when I was connected to the internet - but I need to be able to use it also when I'm not connected to the internet.. -And I need to be able to use it to call telephone numbers that I have not already registered beforehand (and as far as I understand the Skype To Go-set up, you need to do that for this solution, right?). Is there another solution for me??
I hope somebody is able to help me as soon as possible..
    Thank you.
    Julie.

Ooops, my bad, so there are only two different options? And they are both 512MB? I don't really see anything that says 512MB of VRAM or anything for the Radeon. ATI is now owned by AMD. It seems they may just discontinue Mac support. I don't want be stuck with another unsupported card. Last time was with the VooDoo 64MB card that came out for Mac when I had a G3. 3DFX went out of business shortly after.
Quadro 4500 FX and the ATI Radeon X1900 XT? Both are 512MB, is one brand better than the other? Is there anything bigger? I have recently read a lot of reviews of the Radeon cards over heating. I would like to get something better if possible and prepare to not have to upgrade again so soon. Also nVidia has these other Quadros on this page:
    http://www.nvidia.com/page/qfx_uhe.html
Are none of the others in this list compatible? They are all PCIe. Is it just because there are no drivers?
