Which view to find if database is 32 or 64 bit

Hello,
Which view or where is the information that indicate if the database is 32 or 64 bit. I looked at v$version but the info is not there. Thank you.

Once time on this forum I saw one example like below:<br>

  • View to Find Primary database name from Standby

Is there any way(view) we can find the primary standby database name and it's host from the standy database.
    Thanks,

V$DATABASE holds the Database Name and this would be the same on the Standby as on the Primary -- at least would be the same for a Physical Standby, I haven't done or verified a Logical Standby with a different DB_NAME.
However, the Host name is not a property of the database but of the instance -- an RAC database can have instances running on multiple hosts. Therefore, the HOSTNAME is always in V$INSTANCE only -- and that, of course, is different on the Standby then on the Primary.

  • How to find which all workbook is using Database function ( User Defined)

    Hi All,
Is it possible to find out which all workbook is using Database function( User Defined).
    Thanks,

    Hi,
If I had to do this detective work, I would probably do the following:
    1. Activate for a period of time the function, eul5_post_save_document. This function when activated is triggered at the time a workbook is saved. If you look at its columns, it save the worksheet's SQL.
    2. Next, I would parse the EUL5_WORKSHEET_SQL.SQL_SEGMENT column which is a varchar2(4000) column. There are many effective Oracle functions which could aid you in this effort (e.g. instring or perhaps a regular expression function).
    I hope this helps.

  • Reg: Problem to find Which view it belongs in MM01

    Hi all,
I have to display an ALV list for displaying the changes that have been made for a material during a period.
    Iam using a FM CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ
Using this FM Iam getting the details of the material that have been changed in to an Internal table CHGDOC, i am getting the tables and fields where the changes have been made to this internal table.
I need to find out which view these fields occur in MM01 i.e. whether the field belongs in the Basic data view or Sales View or Purchasing view or etc.
For the above problem i tried a sol which is somethin like below:
Iam using table T130F where iam getting the maintenance status using the filedname. And using the maintenance status iam determining the view, but I have a problem in this scenario,.
    the problem is:
In the internal table CHGDOC for material description iam getting the table field as DMAKT-MAKTX which is a structure but final changes will be made in the DB table MAKT, how can i find out this table programatically.
If there are any other solution also it would be very helpful.
    Kindly help.
    Regards
    Naveen

    Hi,
there is no translation between e.g. MAKT and DMAKT.
There are some "shortened structures" for MAKT, MARM, and so on. They all begin with a "D". It is simply coded. See for example program LWBBIF07.
Shift the leading "D" and watch out for a reasonable table name.
    Good luck

  • How to export iPhoto Album in iMAC and have similar folder structure(with Timestamps) which can be viewed in finder

How to export iPhoto Album in iMAC and have similar folder structure(with Timestamps) which can be viewed in finder
In simple terms, I wanted to view the photos in Windows system, similar strcture of iPhotos

If you want to copy all of your photos to a Windows machine and have them in folders representing the iPhoto Events the were in quickly and easily just do the following:
1  - open the library with the Finder as shown in this screenshot:
2 - COPY the Originals/Masters folder to the Desktop.
3 - copy the Originals/Masters folder to the Windows machine.
This will give you all of your original image file in their Event folder on the Windows machine.
NOTE:  With iPhoto 8 or newer the Event folders in the Masters folder will be titled by date (EXIF) if imported from a camera.  If imported from a folder the event folder will have the same title as the source folder.  If imported singularly or in a group without a folder the title will be a date, either the EXIF date or import date.
With iPhoto 7 (08) and earlier the Event folders in the Originals folder will have the same title as the Event has in the library.
This method would be quicker but not provide the additional metadata you might have added in iPhoto like keywords, titles, descriptions that exporting out of iPhoto with Format=JPEG and the checkboxes selected to include keywords, titles, places, etc, checked.

  • Which views have RMAN backup jobs information?

    Hi there,
I use EM to schedule the db backup using RMAN.
I can view the jobs in the EM.
But I can not find out which views have RMAN backup jobs information in sqlplus.
    like dba_scheduler_jobs.
    Your advice will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    SZ

    Hi,
V$RMAN_STATUS - Shows the success/failure status of all recently completed RMAN jobs.
    V$RMAN_OUTPUT
Displays messages reported by an RMAN job in progress
If you want to monitor then go the following :-
Monitoring RMAN Job Progress :- view V$SESSION_LONGOPS.
    first Step :-
Before starting the job, create a script file (called, for this example, longops) containing the following SQL statement:
SELECT SID, SERIAL#, CONTEXT, SOFAR, TOTALWORK,
    ROUND(SOFAR/TOTALWORK*100,2) "%_COMPLETE"
    FROM V$SESSION_LONGOPS
    WHERE OPNAME LIKE 'RMAN%'
    AND OPNAME NOT LIKE '%aggregate%'
    AND TOTALWORK != 0
    AND SOFAR <> TOTALWORK
After connecting to the target database and, if desired, the recovery catalog database, start an RMAN job. For example, enter:
    RESTORE DATABASE;
While the job is running, start SQL*Plus connected to the target database, and execute the longops script to check the progress of the RMAN job. If you repeat the query while the restore progresses, then you see output such as the following:
    SQL> @longops
SID SERIAL# CONTEXT SOFAR TOTALWORK %_COMPLETE
    8 19 1 10377 36617 28.34
    SQL> @longops
SID SERIAL# CONTEXT SOFAR TOTALWORK % COMPLETE
    8 19 1 21513 36617 58.75

  • Could not find the Database Engine startup handle.

Why can't Microsoft make software that "Just Works" any more.
This is Sooooo frustrating!  I'm a developer.  I want to write database software and I'd like to use SQL Server.  But I can't even get the damn thing to install on a fresh Windows 8.1 installation.
MySQL - installs no problem - it just works.
Oracle - Installs no problem - It just works.
I downloaded SQL Server 2012 Express with SP1, ran the Install, took most of the defaults, and I get:
    Install Failed:
    The following error has occurred:
Could not find the Database Engine startup handle.
    For help, click:
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?LinkID=20476&ProdName=Microsoft%20SQL%20Server&EvtSrc=setup.rll&EvtID=50000&ProdVer=11.0.3128.0&EvtType=0xD15B4EB2%25400x4BDAF9BA%25401306%254025
Of course, clicking on the link takes me to a non existing web page - what else?  Just incompetence everywhere.  This is Microsoft's own operating system yet they can't even get their own database to install while their competitors can.
How can they let this happen!
Then I googled the above error message.  - Hundreds of hits and a lot of them are threads in forums and lots of civilians saying "try this try that"  none of which works. Not a single Microsoft Employee to be found in any of the
discussions or answers.  And this same problem has been happening since 2008! Yet Microsoft can't be bothered to fix it.
This kind of buggy software shouldn't have made it past Alpha testing.
Come on Microsoft, you just have to try harder.  I can understand bugs that happen in unusual circumstances, after all I'm a developer too.  But this won't even install on a clean Windows 8.  It's tantamount to releasing a "Hello
World"  program that crashes on startup!

    Hi Bob,
If you make sure all your hardware and software requirements are met for installation of SQL Server 2012 on window 8.1 Its highly unlikely you will face issue.I can understand your situation so let me help you.As Kalman pointed can you paste output
of setup log file which was generated due to failed installation using Kalman's link.
Did you went thorugh below link
How to install SQL server on Win 8.1
Hardware and software requirements for SQL Server 2012
Please first read above links understand how it works and then proceed
Regarding startup handle error .AFAIK its because of Account with which you are trying to install SQL server somehow is not able to start it up after installation.Basically a righst issue. Can be different in some cases. Now whenever you install SQL server
alsway RK on Setup file and select run as administrator. When you reach page window where you need to select startup account for SQL Server please select NT Authority\System( or local system account) .

  • Icon view in Finder windows do not autowrap

    I am using 10.5.1 on a 17" MBP 2.16 ghz.
Since installing Leopard, Icon view in Finder windows do not autowrap and Finder windows do not always remember their display preferences.
The Trash auto-wraps (the icons spread to take up the entire window if it is enlarged) But Opening a Folder in my default list view and switching to Icon view and then enarging the window only shows icons in the original window width. EG, If it were 3 colums of icons, it stays 3 columns of icons unless I use Clean Up TWICE and then I get 10 columns of icons which will wrap.
Is this a Leopard BUG or a local problem. Any suggestions on fixing it?
    TIA,
    Bill

Yeh - though I use cmd-J which I have used since it appeared, 10.1?
But I just solved my problem. In my use as defaults selection, I had Snap to Grid selected in the arrange by pop-up rather than by Name.
Selecting Name and clicking on Use as Defaults makes things work as expected.
Thanks for making me look closely!
    Cheers,
    Bill

  • Thumbnail view in Finder

Is therea thumbnail/preview view in Finder. I found the column view which will preview a selected document. I'm looking for a view that will display thumbnail previews of all documents in a folder, just by viewing the folder.

If there are images such as Jpegs you can usually view them in Icon mode (right of the column view on the top nav bar). If you need them to be bigger go to the
Finder menu: --> View --> Show View options (apple + J) --> Icon Size.
Just remember that all of your icons will be enlarged. And you will have to do the reverse (also in the main finder window) to change them back.

  • SQL Server Express 2014 on Win8.1: Could not find the Database Engine startup handle

    Hello,
I tried to follow all the similarly titled posts in this forum, yet no solution seems to work, so I hope I can find some up-to-date suggestion here (most of the older posts refer to versions from 2008 to 2012...).
I have installed Visual Studio 2013 (with the latest Update 2 RC) on a freshly installed development workstation with Win 8.1 with all its updates. Now I'd want to install SQL Server 2014 Express, but the setup keeps failing with the dreaded "Could
not find the Database Engine startup handle" error (the log follows below).
    What I tried:
    1) download again and repair. Same error.
    2) completely uninstall by launching setup.exe /Action=uninstall (success), then rebooting the OS, then installing again. Same error. I did this twice, the second time I also manually removed any directory left out in C:\Program Files etc.
When I launch the setup, I select all the components for installation in the package SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU.exe (1.12 GB, last downloaded today -Apr 3, 2014-), and accept all the defaults including the proposed services accounts. There is no preexisting
    SQL Server instance, as expected.
The setup takes its time, and finally fails with the error quoted above. I really do not want to reformat my HD and fully reconfigure my workstation, which took about 3 days... Could anyone suggest a solution to have SQL Server 2014 setup so I can start
developing instead of wasting time in administering the system?
Thanks to all! The log follows.

Thank you, it worked! I suppose that it was really your nr.3 which made the difference. I changed NT Service\MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS to NT AUTHORITY\System for the Data service. I'll then change it again as suggested (any suggestion about a "standard"
account to be used here?), even if this is a development workstation using SQL Server Express only as a local database for debugging, so security is not really a big concern.
Thanks for the feedback.Ya I know No3 was real step but just added more info so as to rule out any other possibility.
No not as such, you wont believe, quite few pf my clients I have worked for keep it with local system and they have not complained yet ,they are afraid to change account as few of them faced issue SQL Server not coming online due to logon failure( after changing
startup account to some domain a and that was happening due to some AD policy. But if you have nay plans to move Critical database in production which would be act as Database to some Internet facing application please follow my suggestion
of running SQL Server with Least privileged domain account.

  • How can I set a customized view in finder set as standard for ALL folders?

As I have a large number of folders, I need a specific view in finder: symbol view, sort by program and name. I tried to use this settings as standard for ALL folders, but using the 'set as standard' button does only work for the folder I am in, but not for ALL folders. I even tried to use this settings on the hard disk level in finder, but what ever I tried, it never applies to all folders. The problem occurs on each of my devices and on Yosemite OS 10.10.1. as well as Mavericks 10.9.5. Any ideas on how I can make the 'standard' work on all folders?

As Vinod says, unique key validator would be fine.
    However, In Gabriel's blog:
Performing a unique key validation for an attribute that is declared to be unique in the database requires a round trip to the database. This is quite expensive and there is a fast and easy way to work around it.Is false on several fronts:
1). it's not expensive - it's actually cheaper than the alternative
2). Unique key validator can require many trips to the DB to validate - it must check all other rows in the EO to ensure there is no duplicate, and all of those rows must be fetched into the middle tier to do the validation: this is expensive.
The "cheapest" way to do this: unique constraint in the DB
