While listening to music in my car, I don't have the option to choose between bluetooth and headphones anymore. Why?

On IOS 6 and earlyer, I use to be able to choose between the bluetooth or the headphone jack. Now, I can only play music true my bluetooth and I can't pause the music. Anybody has a solution?

Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.
- Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
- Test the issue after each step. If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

That's the way it works. If you don't want to be bothered with calls while you're listening to music, put it in airplane mode.

Hey there Brett, during the summer I found myself with a broken ringer and it was stuck on full volume. If you go into your setting under sound you will find your text tones, there you will select NONE and theres no noise when you get a text

If you stream it won't work. Stream meaning 'use the iPad as a receiver as you continually download from the internet'.
However if that music is downloaded onto your iPad then it works just fine off line. then once the music is on your device you can use the USB if your car is equipped for that, or a FM transmitter (available commercially) or simply use a male/male headphone cable to use the headphone out of your device to a headphone in jack in your car (again, something only more recent models have)
When you sync the music onto your device it should transfer those files from your computer to your iPad.

Someone please help me because I had a lot of songs that I liked, and recently downloaded. And it will be a pain to get them all back if no one can help me.

Are the files still physically on your HD?
[User]/Music/iTunes/Media/Music is the default location. Unless you suddenly have a bunch of new "free space" on your hard drive, they're still where they were, you just need to create a new library file.

All of the music is still on my computer, but when I play it through iTunes, it either buffers first (when I'm connected to the internet) or it is greyed out (offline) and I can't listen to it.
This is beyond annoying. Is there anything I can do to sort this out?

Have you done a restore of the phone to see if that fixed the problem with the speaker? If that doesnt help then you probably damaged something inside the phone when you dropped it.
If you're annoyed by the problem, you can always get a replacement phone

Two fold question: My music library will not sync, any suggestions? The settings I choose for syncing on the summary screen will not save, suggestions?

I have the new iPhone 6 Plus. I have all the new operating systems. Since I received the phone I have been having problems syncing. I have it set to sync over WiFi. Obviously I have tried doing a hard sync with the phone attached too. However, overtime I tell it to sync, it looks like it is transferring all 4111 songs but then when it gets done doing it's thing it reverts back to what it was when I plugged it in which is only 2000 songs. I am so confused never in my history of Apple products have I had so much trouble. Can anyone help?
My second problem, why won't my settings save? In troubleshooting this problem I turned off syncing over WiFi and switched it to manual. When I plugged the phone in it reverted back to syncing over WiFi. That would normally not happen, the settings you choose stay until you change them. I need some serious help. Suggestions please?

After days of getting frustrated I finally found a solution: Don't use itunes to sync music. After going through pages of possible solutions (restores, syncing albums one at a time, removing all music, deactivating accounts, making a call while syncing and various other things) as well as trying to contact apple support (Which was a joke--They wanted to charge me $19.00 to get help for a problem with their software), I change my Google search terms to "how to sync music without itunes" and I found a program called CopyTrans Manager for free. It only took me a few minutes to add the new tracks to my iphone. It automatically organizes it the same way itunes would and you have the option to make your own playlists. Best of all it synced the first try! Itunes is now dead to me. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with all the free time I have since I'm not going to be spending hours banging my head at my computer ready to throw my phone out the window.
