While using mute function in FaceTime, i still can be heard.
During FaceTime calls with my wife i´m sometimes using the mute function. Often she and the People around her can hear me although my Iphone (5 with IOS 7.0.2) ist showing "mute".
Most Times i´m using a Headset but the failure also appeared without it several Times.
Barra_240t,
Thanks for your response. I'll answer your question and see if you have any tips or thoughts. However, as Hatter points out below, mine is actually a Power G5 and not a Mac Pro, so if the architecture is significantly different I may need to respost my question to a different Apple Discussions section.
(I hadn't realized until now that mine wasn't a Mac Pro as I bought it second hand. On a budget, I also have been unable to buy a surge protector of the expensive variety that Hatter suggests [1500VA UPS], but I've run my unit run only through a lower grade store-bought surge protector which shows no signs of burn out, blown fuses or anything else that would suggest a power surge. I also made sure to turn off all electricity in the room prior to leaving the country on my three week trip.)
The noisier dual fan console on the lower deck of the Power Mac was receiving power. I unplugged it and noticed the fan on the upper deck also operates and I hear some spin-up activity from the hard drive when I first turn on the poewr. As I'm unable to disconnect the top fan, I can't hear for sure if there is power activity in any other area, but I don't think there is. The power indicator light right above the power button illuminates normally when I power up (but does not then blink as would be the case if RAM was poorly installed, etc.) As I noted earlier, there is no chime and the computer does not respond to the keyboard and I am unable to open the DVD drive by pushing eject. The red beam in the mouse also does not come on, so presumably no power reaches anything attached by USB.
Does that sound like a power block failure? If so, what to do? Is a DIY fix possible? (Advisable?) There have been no electrical storms that I know of since I have been back home and had the electricity on again.
Thanks.

ORA-00902: invalid datatype comile error while using CAST function
Hi everyone,
I'm getting ORA-00902: invalid datatype compilation error while using CAST function.
open ref_cursor_list for select empName from TABLE(CAST(part_t AS partnumberlist));
The partnumberlist and ref_cursor_list is declared in the Package spec as given below.
TYPE ref_cursor_list IS REF CURSOR;
TYPE partnumberlist IS TABLE OF emp.empName%TYPE;
The error points the partnumberlist as invalid datatype in TOAD because of this i'm unable to compile the package.
Any suggestion
Thanks and regards

Some email images do not show while using the icloud web app. I can see the images on my IOS devices and in gmail but I only see a small gray box in the icloud web mail app. Load HTML images is checked in preferences. Is there a solution to this issue?
I've seen the opposite issue. My wife recieved an email with jpg attachments. She couldn't see or print them on her iPhone 4S but they showed up fine in iCloud or in the mail app. I had her forward the email to herself and then they showed up. I assume there is an issue with how Apple is processing the attachments and resending causes them to get reformatted in a way that makes them easier to handle.
So yeah. Seems like some bugs. Hope Apple fixes them soon. -

Srikkanth.MHi,
Try using:
row_number() over (partition BY barcode order by bartime) as RN
If that wasn't the problem, what is the error you are getting?

Regardin handling exception in a function, while using that function in sql
Hi gurus,
I have a question regarding logging exceptions while using functions.
I wrote a separate package to handle errors, where i have a procedure.
In this proc i'm logging my error into a table and then raise the error to the front end.
Ex:
proc_log_and_raise -- this proc... inserts my error into a table and then raisenow i included this error procedure in all functions and procedures.
consider an example with a sample procedure and function.
function func_1(( v_var varchar2) return varchar2 is
begin
select column2
from table2
where col1 = v_var;
exception
when others then
proc_log_and_raise;
end;
procedure proc_1( v_var varchar2) is
begin
select func_1(v_var) -- error occurs here..
from table_a
where col1 = v_var;
exception
when others then
proc_log_and_raise;
end; now i do
exec proc_1( v_var );but now my problem is, when an error occurs in func_1, i'm getting an error with DML operation ( as we are inserting into error table)
ORA-14551: cannot perform a DML operation inside a query.
so what i want to do is, log both function and procedure where error occured.
So is there any other better way, we can write our exception handling, so that i can log error and use function in a select statement.
thank you.I changed my procedure a little, to make it simple.

How to add warning message while using 'print' function in Adobe LiveCycle Designer
I am trying to make pdf document for my company which requires adding a warning message while anyone use 'print' function from the page...
Does anyone know how to add warning message on LiveCycle Designer
Also my supervisor mentioned something using 'nag' if that rings any bellNo you shoudl never go into the XML source unless uinstricted to do so.
You can open the script editor (under the window menu). It will appear above the drawing area but below the toolbars. You can resize it if there is not enough room. When you click on an object in the form you can choose an event to script against in the Show dropdown. In your case you will want to choose the prePrint event. A line will show up that indicates the object that is associated with the script as well as the event and other information. Add your script below this line. Once that is done you are finished and your form is ready for testing.

Facing problem while using aggregate functions.
I am trying to use aggregate functions such as sum, count in my CQL query.
It is not giving me an error but i am unable to get the correct output out of that.
Query is:

<wlevs:config xmlns:wlevs="http://www.bea.com/ns/wlevs/config/application"
xmlns:jdbc="http://www.oracle.com/ns/ocep/config/jdbc">
<processor>

<rules>
<view id="CostEventView"
schema="eventName eventType eventId opportunityStatusId opportunity_cost APL_Event_Inbound">
SELECT X.eventName, X.eventType,
X.eventId, X.opportunityStatusId,
X.opportunity_cost,X.APL_Event_Inbound
from APL_EFW_Master_Inbound_Channel
XMLTable (
'/' PASSING BY VALUE APL_EFW_Master_Inbound_Channel.APL_Event_Inbound as "."
COLUMNS
eventId char(256) PATH 'fn:data(Event/EventHeader/eventId)',
eventName char(256) PATH 'fn:data(Event/EventHeader/eventName)',
eventType char(256) PATH 'fn:data(Event/EventHeader/eventType)',
opportunityStatusId char(256) PATH 'fn:data(Event/ApplicationDataArea/opportunity/opportunity_details/opportunity_status)',
opportunity_cost char(256) PATH 'fn:data(Event/ApplicationDataArea/opportunity/opportunity_details/opportunity_cost)',
APL_Event_Inbound xmltype path '/'
) AS X
]>
</view>
<query id="CostEventQuery">

SELECT
XMLELEMENT("opportunity",
XMLELEMENT("cost_opportunity",
XMLFOREST(X.opportunity_cost))) as APL_Event_Inbound
FROM CostEventView
MATCH_RECOGNIZE (
MEASURES
A.opportunity_cost as opportunity_cost
PATTERN (B A+) within 30000 milliseconds
DEFINE
A as sum(A.opportunity_cost)> 1000 )
as X

</query>
</rules>
</processor>
</wlevs:config>
The problem i am getting is when the value is getting compared with the opportunity cost rather than with the sum of oppCost
A as sum(A.opportunityCost)>1000
A as A.opportunityCost >1000
Both the cases are treated as same .It would help if you could provide sample input data and associated output that illustrates the problem

or
Substr("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, instr(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, ':')+1,50)
i think you should use 3 parameters, did you try that if it would work?
additionally check what is the default format of your data: go to column properties -> data format; if its text then ok; otherwise you will have to cast the number to char; in such a case the above could be:
Substr(cast("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), 1, instr(cast(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), ':')+1)
or
Substr(cast("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), instr(cast(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), ':')+1,50)

How to find exception occured while using LOGON function in oracle 10g
Hi,
I am using LOGON function to login with a different user name in oracle 10g forms.
LOGON ( User, Pass@tns, FALSE)
The third parameter is passed as 'FALSE' to avoid the login screen to be opened. If any of the other parameter ( User Name, Password, TNS) is passed wrong, connection is not established but no exception is occurred. The value for 'FORM_FAILURE' is set to 'TRUE'.
What i need is the ORA error for connection failure. The error message related to user name/password (ORA-01017) or connection identifier (ORA-12155).
How i can get this error code if connection is failed. Is there any other way to login in oracle forms other than 'LOGON'.

If you pass FALSE in login you can't catch anything. Want to catch the error ?
Then change
LOGON ( User, Pass@tns, FALSE)
to
LOGON ( User, Pass@tns, TRUE) Now Create On-Error trigger at form level
and try the following code
if error_code=01017 then
message('invalid user name or password');
message('invalid user name or password');
raise form_trigger_failure;
elsif error_code=12154 or error_code=1215 then
message('invalid connection string');
message('invalid connection string');
raise form_trigger_failure;
end if;Hopes this helps
