White box over my scene selection arrow!!!

Does anyone know how to correct this problem? For some reason, this white box has shown up over my "direction right" arrow in the scene selection section of my dvd project. This also shows up after burning and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get rid of it. Thanks for the help! You can find the screenshot here - http://gallery.filefront.com/deathcap//67132/

Hmmm, not sure about this one.
Try moving your 'Treasure Island' title away from the arrow.
Slide it to the left. Also try shrinking the size of your text.

  • Iphoto 9.5.1 displays only raw photos correctly.  If I correct redeye or touch up a photo I get white boxes over the eyes(if correcting redeye) or the thumbnail and photo turns mostly white. Note: I have an NVIDIA card.

Do you remember the days when Apple wrote robust code ?  The latest updates have not been great.
Maybe the programers are outsourced to a foriegn country now or Noobs out of school ?
It looks like someone isn't paying attention to the editing layer... I write code.  and when you edit an image you store the update in another layer. The method enables you to easily undo edits.   I "upgraded" to 10.9.1 and was forced to update iPhoto.    After I uploaded photos from my camera I noticed redeye reduction results in just white squares over the eyes. I also noticed issues if I attempt any photo edit funcition in iPhoto.
This means to me that iPhoto 's editor is saving video from the wrong memory location.
I have a NVIDIA card because I write CUDA applications on my Mac.  An NVIDIA card enables me to write CUDA and OpenCL apps.
Here's what happens if I attempt to straighten an image:

As you can see Mavericks may have made some improvements but overall it does not get the job done as it used to.
I am willing to bet  that your graphics code has devolved into ATI centric code.
I booted into macos 7.5.1 and the issue with the same hardware older operating system and apps works fine.    I just wish I never deleted my 10.6.8 install.  10.6.8 was the most stable on the MacPro.   Everything worked.     From 10.7 up I've noticed a decline in dependability.
Can you please fix this or design a work around ?    Switching over to an ATI graphics card is NOT a good answer.
Also I noticed Cinebench R15 benchmarks are higher in 7.5.1 verses 10.9.1

Where in that other topic is the manufacturer of the graphic card or even a graphic card mentioned.?  You may have known what kind of card you had but we're not mind readers.
Since it appears to be a incompatibility between that particular card, Mavericks and iPhoto you should keep telling Apple about it by contacting them via

  • There is a CSS error with Mozilla Thimble currently - showing a big white box over the code area. Can you correct this?

I guess this is a question for mozilla dev.

It will be better if you submit a bug with how to reproduce. Submit a bug here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi

    Hi John,
Thanks again for the help. I've tried loading PRE in System Administrator and also in root and the issue does not persist. However, on a day-to-day basis I couldn't run it as Sys Admin or Root as I need to lock down Admin functions because the macs are used at a school.
I've also run Digital Rebellion's "Pro Maintenance Tools" with no luck.
The issue seems to be happening at random. Sometimes I'll do a restart and load PRE and it will be fine. Other times the issue will persist. In the console it's also flagging up lots of "Invalid Drawables", should that be a concern?
    Thank you again.

  • How to hide bounding box over selected parts in 3d annotation?

Please let me know if it is possible to hide bounding box over selected parts in 3d annotation?

Have you unchecked the Display Bounding Box in the Options menu on the left side of the Model Tree toolbar? Select the down arrow next to the menu icon under Model Tree to see the Options menu.

  • I don't like when I scroll over a link on a webpage and the hyperlink shows up on the bottom right in white box... it is extremely annoying. I want to know how to turn it off if possible, otherwise I'm going to have to use another browser. Thank you.

I don't recall this feature on any other version of firefox. For some reason, I can't stop focusing on the fact that every time I scroll over something on a webpage, an annoying white box pops up in the corner of the website displaying the hyperlink, or showing the fact that the link or whatever is loading... it's unnecessary and to me it appears as clutter, especially when I'm browsing a website that has a colored backdrop because then the annoying box pops out even more. I want to turn it off somehow or get rid of firefox.

To toggle the add-on bar on/off use Ctrl+/ or hide the add-ons bar through the View > Toolbars menus
Th add-ons bar replaces the status bar, so if you miss the status-bar working as before see item #10 in

  • Music and preview box not functioning in scene selection page...

I am working on a video in iDVD (v.7.0.4) using the Bronze Wedding "old theme" and in one of the scene selection pages the music or the preview of the movie in the box is not working.  I checked the inspector window and it says the music is there, but it's not playing.  I noticed that when I pulled the music on top of the scene selection page in other menus, I could hear the music playing and I could also see the preview movies start, but only when the music was audible.  It seems like a bug, but I"m not sure.  Is there any advice on how to address this problem?  I originally created my movie in Final Cut Express (v.4.0.1).  Thank you!

I just made sure that the Chapter Marker was at the very beginning of the clip, and that seemed to have solved the problem.

  • When i mouse over an object on the page a white box shows up

I went to a foreign country last week and used their wireless connection. Now every time I put my cursor/mouse over an object on the page a white box appears. Typically when I used to do this, for example over a Google home page special occasion art, a box would appear under my mouse saying what that object was, but now I just get a vertical rectangle shaped white box. I uploaded the latest version of Firefox when I got back to the US, but it's still doing it. I don't have this problem with internet explorer or other browsers - it's just happening with Firefox. Please help!
    Thanks

Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.
    # Shockwave Flash 11.9 r900
    # Shockwave Flash 11.8 r800
You can find the installation path of all plugins on the <b>about:plugins</b> page.
You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove all (older) version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and (re)install the latest Flash player.

  • White selection arrow in cs4 selects everything

    Hi all.
My white selection arrow keeps selecting the entire shape of an object instead of allowing me to select individual anchor points.  This is incredibley annoying!  I have to keep deselecting and going in close and fidgeting around until it finally acts like it's supposed to.
One of many MANY glitches is cs4 that has disappointed me immensely. I would wish that Adobe would take into consideration the deplorable cs4 and allow all of us to upgrade to cs5 FREE!

As for fonts - I'd like to know how it's possible to pinpoint one that is causing conflicts in the system?  Does validating them in Fontbook do the job?
    b.
They way to do this is first deactivate all fonts except the system fonts if you used a font manager. It would not likely be one of those.
Then remove half the fonts from any font folder other than those used by the system and restart your computer and trash Ai's settings folder1. .
    1.Quit Illustrator.
2.Go to User/username/Library/Preferences/ Adobe illustrator CS4 Settings and trash the settings folder, the whole folder not just the contents of the folder..
    3. Start Illustrator. Illustrator creates a new preferences file.
then launch AI and see if the problem goes away if it does then the culprit is in the group you removed now add half of those removed fonts back
and see if the problem stays a way if not then the culprit is in the remaining bath and you put half of those back and so on and in about six such moves you will probably have fond the culprit. If the font culprit is in the first group you did not unload then you do the same thing there but by removing the halves.
I think ou get the idea.
Update: In your case I think just try first removing al the free fonts toss the preference settings folder and if the problem goes away never use the free fonts again.

  • White box keeps appearing over list items in design view, I want to know why ?

In my footer area, I have 4 vertical lists that act as my sitemap links, but when I hover over them in design view the entire list gets replaced with a white box and then when I move my mouse away the white box disapears and the list shows again. This does not happen in live view but I would like to know why it does that, or if this will happen when the site goes live, or it just a design view bug.
    thank you for any help

  • Recently, Aperture has been giving me a big white partial box over the main viewer when I zoom in and edit...

I have been using Aperture 3.3.2
It is an 8 month old Mac Book Pro running OS X, and Aperture is about the only thing I use it for. The retouch feature used to be SOOO PAINFULLY SLOW that I took it into the Mac store, and they had to reformat my harddrive & reload everything.. That was due to my PC indexing everything and wouldn't stop. Took a lot of RAM.  Maybe this is due to the cup of coffee I spilled over my MacBook a few months ago? I really haven't wanted to admit it, but OK WORLD, IT HAPPENED!
Also, it is crashing a lot when I am editing. Any ideas?

You need to confirm that your hardware is properly functioning.  They can do this at an Apple store.  Have them check the memory and the drive(s), and ask them to check the CPU/GPU (I don't know if they can).
Once you know that your hardware is good, move on to trouble-shooting your set-up and software.
How much RAM do you have installed?  How much free space in on your system drive?  Run Safari for a while and see if you have any trouble there.
The white box is (afaik) likely an artifact of your mouse/trackpad cursor.  You shoudn't see it.

  • White box loads over web pages

Upon loading up any website i am also greeted with a white box that covers almost all of the screen with a X in the top right, as if it was an advertisement but it's just white. it happens on every page e.g. Amazon, Youtube, Facebook. At first i thought it was a virus but Avast detects no threats, I have also tried restoring my Laptop to an earlier date, and it still occurs. I have a picture but I don't know if i can post it on here so there's a link:

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
    * [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx Microsoft Safety Scanner]
    * [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware]
    * [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility]
    * [http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro/ Hitman Pro]
    * [http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ ESET Online Scanner]
[http://windows.microsoft.com/MSE Microsoft Security Essentials] is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

  • Blue dot arrow in box  VS  NO blue dot arrow in box. Explain, please!

    WHAT I SEE IN SAFARI:
Some pages have the "Return to Main Site Menu" text line IN A BOX, but some other pages have that text line NOT IN A BOX. Specifically:
"Photos — Past" has "Return to Site Menu" IN A BOX.
"Photos — Present" has "Return to Site Menu" NOT IN A BOX.
BUT WHAT I SEE IN IWEB: (First of all, in iWeb I formatted all of those R.T.M.S.M. text lines in a box because all text has to be surrounded by a box. Now then:)
    In iWeb, I see:
In the page "Photos — Past" the text line (R.T.M.S.M.) is inside a simple box with nothing else on the box.
But when I look at "Photos — Present," the box around the text line has a little curved white arrow in a BLUE dot at the bottom right of the text box.
So here is my ad hoc analytical equation (Remember it's AD HOC.)
Blue dot arrow in iWeb = No box surrounds text line in Safari
No blue dot arrow in iWeb = Box surrounds text line in Sarafi
    NOW THEN:
I understand the simple causal relationships, but what I would like to understand is:
    1. Beyond the absence or presence of a box around a text line in Safari, what is the difference between a box with a blue dot arrow and a box without a blue dot arrow? Beyond this visual difference in Safari, is there a functional difference which can come back and affect me later on in some way?
    2. What did I do differently in iWeb to create a blue dot arrow in some cases and no blue dot arrow in other cases? My memory does not record HOW I made a text line into a hyperlink! Holy smoke, that's a fine line! All I recall is that I selected the text line and hit the hyperlink button in the Link Inspector! Oh-- ok in the first cases I think I put the boxed text inside another box I created. In other words, a box inside another box, and then all of it selected for hyperlinkage. Oh... is that it? <gulp> But I don't remember which is which, and I would have to re-create it on a new practice page.
Thank you in advance for shedding any light on this, because it is REALLY bewildering me. Is it ONLY a matter of boxes around a text line? Or more?

    James,
I am impressed with your easy, friendly and mostly, useful replies for many of us....well...newer types!
Your response here to Lorna has answered a question I had not yet formulated....you see...when I started to build my post-"Last Rites 35 Year Reunion" web site (an old age clue!...), I did not realize that when published, the little blue circles disappeared!!!...so... I have learned and continue to do so.
I have spent the past 3 months (in spare time...I work...) organizing the resultant photos from that two day reunion event.
iWeb started me on this path, and my site (http://web.mac.com/larrycook1/iWeb/Cooksite-1/Welcome.html) has many of the issues & challenges you and others have discussed and counselled over that time....unfortunately, I lose the 'threads' of help...so I apologize for interjecting here...I was not sure where I could get "in".
    1. The photos on my web are working ok.
    2. I have three slide shows created in (Apple) Keynote transposed into QT Pro (7) into .mov & dragged onto three separate web pages.
The first two, "Faces" & "Potpourri" pages show, but the audio wouldn't play so I had to drag in audio separately....then instruct people to push the two buttons to get the 'full monty" effect...a work around, since I have given up trying to solve it....and there is so much else to do in life...
I read your comments about isquint and created a Mp4 from the QT Pro movie...it looks ok in iWeb but ....now
I cannot get the iweb to publish...get error messages like 'can't save the media......movie'.
Since I am low tech...I cannot understand what is going on or how to fix this.
If I try to publish to a folder, will it replace what is in there now or will it just build up...it is not clear for me.
    3. I have no idea if purhaps I have too much memory in my site for the movies to be working properly....or am I corrupted?
All & any suggestions welcome. If the above have been answered elswhere, ... could you send me a link?
    thanks,
    Larry
