White to Black? (iPhone 4)

So I am just wondering how many people who pre-ordered the white iphone 4 got a call back in the last few days to change it to black. Is this coming down from corporate? The BB mobile manager called me and stated that due to the phone not being available because of shortages I had two options, either switch my white order to black, or wait a month or so until the white comes in.
I told him to switch simply because I didn't want to wait around for the white. But is this what's going on? Why on earth would BB have you pre order something to then call to switch. Also I was number 3 on the list, is this going to push me back down now? I mean he is the one who called. I think a personal visit to the store is in order.

Great, so they told me to change my white to black and now if they get the white, I hope I can switch it again. The manager at the Palm Beach Gardens store was adament that it would not be there, so what, they know more than the people at corporate? Or does Best Buy have no control over what happens and how the managers run the stores? I will say I personally went there and they had no idea what number I was, the manager was out of it and said she would figure out who was there first due to the receipt time/dates. She was flustered and said they didn't write down the info correctly. So now I hope she gets it right as I was the third person in line.
I am beyond annoyed...I should have went with Apple, I had them ordered, just needed to confirm the sale but decided to go with Best Buy because of my reward points. Me and my bright ideas

White or Black iPhone 5?

Hi, so I'm going to preorder the iPhone 5 on Friday, and I've got my eye on the white iPhone 5. This is because I highly prefer the silver aluminum look to the phone over that shady dark anodized aluminum. I have one question about this though, and thats how the screen will look. I've heard that sometimes iDevices in white make the screen appear less rich or somehow worse than that of a black iDevice, because of contrast or something. How true is this? Is it not worth it to buy white for this reason? Or would it work to just buy that Moshi anti-glare screen protector with the black surrounding edge, so it would be black right around the screen?

I would like to know the answer to this as well! I have always had the black iPhone (3 and 4), and am now contemplating of getting the white one for the 5... but not sure if the image quality will be just as good as the black one since with the 4, they had light leaking issues with the white one.

Im stranding om line for the 28 Septemer iphone event, and i dont know wich iphone i should get.
White or Black. Is there is problems with either one of the 2 colors.

The iPhone 5 in black looks better IMHO, but if you are not careful enough and it scratches, those scratches will be much more visible on the black one because only a thin layer on the aluminum is actually graphite color. Under that layer you see the aluminum's natural silver color.
On the white one you won't see scratches as much (even though it still scratches, silver on silver is less obvious), but it seems that some devices have light leakage issues between the glass on the front and the aluminum bezel.
I doubt, though, that this is a widely spread issue.
You will have to think about it. It's more a matter of taste.

At first I pre-ordered the white one, then I read some stuff online that the white one wouldn't be available so personally I drove back to Best Buy and changed it to a black 32GB. Would I be bumped down of the list because of that? I asked them personally when I first pre-ordered if they're sure if there's a white iphone, they said yes they're going to get it on the 24th . It seems it's kinda unfair if I get bumped down from the list because I was the second one who pre-ordered in the store. So would I be?

White to black iPhone

I was just wondering if when I send my iphone 4s in for repairs on the lock button (i have apple care so i simply get a whole new phone) if i can request a black phone instead of white?

HT1349 The iPhone 4S setting (white on black) it is so cool! But one thing that I don't know if Apple is aware of this glitch or not, but they need to fix it, when you go to that mode every picture and every icon go to negative view, has anyone experience

One very COOL feature on iPhone 4S that I just discovered, is the (White on Black) display mode, which is so cool and atrictive. When you go to that mode, every picture on the iPhone, facebook, icons and every other applications that displays a picture are effected, native or installed Apps. that displays a picture goes in to negative view, if you want to view your pictures, you have to go back to the default setting, very disappointing.
This is a very cool feature and Apple needs to find a way that all photos are immune and preserved from the conversion when a user switches to that mode.
Love to hear your comments and suggestions and I'm sure that Apple developers can come up with a solution to fix the glitch.

Hmmmm, http://www.seattlepi.com/ loads fine hear in 10.4.11, FF 3.6.8, but I do see it uses some kind of Flash.
The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a leter version installed.

Iphone 6 plus screen flashing white and black

My iPhone 6 Plus 16Gb suddenly started to show screen artifacs, like flashing with white and black, so I can't see the springboard only black and white screen. Restart of the phone didn't help. Even when the phone is booting, Apple logo doesn't appear and then again flashes. As it seems on background everything is working, as I can receive sms and phone calls. It is just the screen. iPhobe 6 Plus is brand new, I've been using it for 1 week and it never dropped. No physical damage, no nothing, just flashing

Have you tried a Reset by holding down the Sleep / Wake Button and the Home Button at the same time until the white Apple logo appears, then let go of the buttons, but wait until the Reset completes and you are back at your lock-screen? If this doesn't work then do you have a computer with the current version of iTunes? If yes and you already have a Backup of your Media and Data on iCloud or iTunes, then you can put the iPhone in DFU Mode. Don't do this unless you have a Backup and also have a computer with the latest iTunes. You will need your Apple ID and Password. To go to DFU Mode you can hold the Home button while you plug the Lightning Cable into the iPhone, a graphic will appear on the iPhone screen showing that you need to connect to iTunes. At that point just connect the iPhone via the Lightning Cable with USB into your Computer. Open the iTunes App on the Computer and wait until a button appears representing the connected iPhone. Then click on the iPhone button on the iTunes screen and it should open to the Summary page. At that point you can Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings and bring it up as A New Phone. The iPhone should screen should then show Hello and you will need to connect to your WiFi via your Router WiFi Password and then answer all the question put forth by the iPhone. When the "Lets Get Started" occurs you can thoroughly check out the iPhone to make sure it is all OK. When satisfied that things are good, you can plug into the computer and iTunes and this time Restore from Backup. or if you Backup is in iCloud you can Restore over the air.

IPhone 5 Battery stays at the same percentage, phone fades shows white and black lines then dies. Now phone screen is shaking and does the same thing.

My iPhone 5 which has been working fine has only today started to get these problems. The phones battery percentage stays at the same number and only changes if i swith it off or when it does it byitself but then stays at that number. When I use it it constantly turns off by slowly fading then showing white and black lines then going off. The screen is now shaking and keeps turning off. It was on IOS 6 which I just updated as I thought this could be the issue but it still does the same thing on IOS 7. Has anyone else experienced these problems or know what is wrong with my iPhone?

Sounds like the device is failing. Since you updated to iOS 7, that would do the same as a restore. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar at Apple to have the device checked.

i've had black iphones in the past, and the same thing always gets messed up, the network, i will not have service what-so ever, and when my mother's iphone will be right next to me and she will have full service. Also the lock screen button/power button broke on both of my black iphones as well. i was just wondering if they would consider. Does apple have an email i could contact?

Why is the black iPhone 4/4S more durable than the white?

I've owned both a black and a white 4S
The black was much more durable, mine flew out my hand and hit the tap, no damage just a big scratch to the back glass because thats where it hit, but it did make the back loose
I had a white, and it smashed the back like 2 inches off concrete, I'm serious.. That's how fragile they are...

Not sure what causes it, but here are your choices:
1) bring it to a 3rd party repair shop and see what they say
2) pay $149 for another replacement
3) do nothing
4) buy a new phone (iPhone or otherwise)

You changed the proper preference, but you don't need to relaunch iTunes. You do, however, need to click the blue OK button at the bottom right of the preferences window. The change will happen then.

Hello! I have trouble in choosing the right colour of iPhone 5 for me! I like both colours.. :D but I can't afford for two!! :D I like the black because the screen of the phone is seem to be large and it merges with the black boarder. So it looks amazing! My best friend and I both got our iPhone 5s last month; she got the black one. I wanted to get the black one at first, but didn't want to have the same color of phone as my friend, so I opted for the white instead.... and did not regret it! The white just looks absolutely beautiful in phone cases, jelly, silicon, any light colored cases as well as dark. The black phone not so much. Also, when naked, the white iPhone looks like a diamond. It's shiny, shimmery, splendid. lol.
Also, my friend's black iPhone is begining to get scuffs on the edges, even though she has a case on it.
My white iPhone still looks brand new, like out-of-the-box brand new.

Apple does not have an exchange program.
By the time you purchase the required materials to change the case from black to white and the expense to do so, you would be better off selling the black iPhone and use the proceeds to purchase a white one.
