Who has logged into SharePoint 2007 in 2014?

We are going to be decommissioning our SharePoint 2007 server (running on Windows Server 2003 SP2 machine) very soon. There aren't a lot of people that use our 2007 instance any more but I will need alert all of the users who do still use it that
we will be decommissioning it that way they can make sure their pertinent data is moved or saved elsewhere.
I have tried using the Usage Summary to get a list of all of the users who have used SP 2007 this year but I am not finding it very helpful. I have checked the Event Viewer >  Security logs, but it is a lot to go through and the native filter is
not dynamic enough.
Can somebody recommend what I should use to compile a concise list showing who has logged in and when?
Thank you in advance!

within LogFiles is a subfolder for each IIS web application. Match the webapp ID to the subfolder. Each log file will include the HTTP request (specifically the HTTP GET request), and the authenticated username (if any).
You should be able to pull a log file into Excel relatively easily (columns are separated by spaces).

    Hello,
    The easiest way to accomplish this is by creating a report.
    Use the SQL query
    SELECT     UserID, LastVisitDate
    FROM         Users
    ORDER BY LastVisitDate DESC
    And a template that looks something like this:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>%%ReportName%% - %%Today, {0:d}%%</title>
    %%StyleSheet%%
    </head>
    <body>
    <center>
    <h1>%%ReportName%%</h1>
    <table width=800 cellpadding=1 cellspacing=0 border=1>
    <tr>
    <td><b>User ID</b></td>
    <td><b>Last Visit</b></td>
    </tr>
    <section name="uservisit">
    <tr>
    <td>%%UserID%%</td>
    <td>%%LastVisitDate%%</td>
    </tr>
    </section>
    </table>
    </center>
    </body>
    </html>

  • Is there a Report detailing who has logged into SAP ECC 6.0 over 24hours

    I am looking for a report that would detail who has logged into SAP over a 24hour period?
    Even logs would be good.  This is very important as we are trying to trace the events leading up to a problem
    Regards,
    Maria

    You need to activate Auditing for this purpose. This will, however, not track the transaction called in the past.
    I wonder what you want to do with that information because you won't be able to tell, what the user has actually done.
    If I start VA01, enter "TA" and press enter - I have started that transaction but I haven't done anything. Do you count that in your wanted-statistic as "has done VA01" or "has not done VA01"?
    You can use STAD to see what is exactly happening on your system but not for 24h because the amount of data would be so big, your system would literally explode (depending on the number of users and activity on your system of course).

    Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can determine, programmatically,
    wether a user has logged into an NT Domain, from a Win95 PC.
    From an NT workstation, I can simply check the USERNAME andUSERDOMAIN environment variables. Is there possibly a Win32 API

  • Why does my android message me that someone has logged into my account? how do I make it stop.

    Don't know what I pressed but everytime I log in to Firefox (which is about 100 times a day) My phone gives me a message
    that someone has logged into my account. Make it stop.

    Hi arsthegreat:
    I don't understand what happened. Clarification please:
    # What do you mean by "log in to Firefox". Do you mean login to your Firefox account? or do you mean log in to some other site. If it's not a Firefox account than it's probably not a Firefox issue.
    # What do you mean by "My phone gives me a message that someone has logged into my account.". Do you mean text message? or an email? or someting else
    # Any further info on what version of Firefox, what version of Android and what you did, what happened, what you expected would be super helpful.
    Cheers!

  • Word and Excel 2010 keep asking me to log into SharePoint.

    I had Office 2010 beta running on Windows 7.  At one point, I opened a file from a SharePoint site by mistake.  I got the Beta to stop asking me about logging
    into this SharePoint site.
    Last week, I un-installed the beta and installed the released version of Office 2010.
    Now, when I have any documents opened in either Word or Excel, I am being asked to log into the old SharePoint site - every 5 minutes.
    The only place I have been able to find anything related to SharePoint is under Outlook, file, info, account settings.  The old site was listed under SharePoint
    lists - I deleted that. There was also a Data File that had the SharePoint site as the location - I deleted that.
    Word and Excel are still asking me to authenticate to the SharePoint site - I don't use any SharePoint sites.
    HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Thank you for using
    Office 2010 Setup and Deployment forum.
    From your description, I understand that you had Office 2010 beta and opened a file from a
    SharePoint site by mistake. Then you set Office 2010 beta stop asking for log in in this SharePoint site. Now you installed the RTM version of Office 2010. However, when you open any documents in Word or Excel, you are asked to log in the old SharePoint site.
    If there is any misunderstanding, please feel free to let me know.
    If SharePoint Shared Workspace is enabled in Word or Excel, this may prompt users with a Windows login if users do not have permissions to access or create a Shared
    Workspace. We can do the following steps to turn this off:
    ===============
    1.
    Open
    Word
    2.
    Click
    Files > Options > Advanced
    3.
    Under
    General, click Service Option.
    4.
    Click
    Shared Workspace.
    5.
    Uncheck box that says
    “The document is part of a Workspace or SharePoint Site.”
    6.
    Click
    OK to save the settings.
    Similar steps to do this in Excel.
    Please take your time to try the suggestions and let me know the results at your earliest convenience. If anything is unclear or if there is anything I can do for
    you, please feel free to let me know.
    Best Regards,
    Sally Tang

  • Is it possible to find out all of the computers from which MY iChat account has logged into?

    I think one or more people have been using MY iChat (mac.com) account to send out emails (pretending they are me). I've changed my password so it won't happen again, but Is there a way for me to see which computers have logged into/used MY iChat account?

    Hi,
    I am not aware of any way you can get iChat to reveal this info directly.
    You could use iChat with another Screen Name and Little Snitch.
    Little Snitch is a Utility that will tell you what IPs and Ports an App is trying to use.
    This way you add your old ID as a Buddy.
    If they are On line then send them a Video Invite.  You do not have to go the whole way but just enough for Little Snitch to tell you the IPs involved (A Public and possible a LAN IP).
    Once you get that far past the Little Snitch Pop ups you can end the chat
    Little Snitch will keep a running record in its Application Interface for you to fully note down the details (the ISP will also be listed)
    I would also contact Moblieme about this.
    If you can get hold of any of the email I would also look at the Full Header info
    In Mail you can set this in Viewing (Preferences).
    This will also list the ISP (Servers) it has passed through.
    You can also generally see if the name has been spoofed.

  • Problem logging into SharePoint Designer 2013 were could previously

    I am having trouble logging into my SharePoint Designer 2013 since I tried to sign in to sharepoint designer with a test account. My sharepoint administrator said I have all the permissions that I need.
    To solve the problem, I want to follow the directions in the link listed below:
    You cannot switch the user account in SharePoint Designer 2013
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2738178
    When the spedesign.exe asks me to log on with a different user accout, it wants the crendtials of domain name and passsword.
    I enter the domain name that looks like domainname\username with the password. I am using the domain name that is assigned to my computer. The logon does not recognize me.
    My company is using sharepoint in the cloud. Thus would my domain be the sharepoint https location that my company is using?
    When I log into the cloud, I use an email address.
    Thus do you have any suggestions on what is wrong and how I should enter the logon in?
    What do you suggest that I try next?

    Hi wendy,
    You can switch the user account with a domain user in SharePoint Desinger 2013 . Once  log on, please go to Account -> Connected Services -> Add a service -> Storage -> Office 365 SharePoint, then input your Office 365 crendtial
    and you can  open your SharePoint Online using SharePoint Designer.
    Thanks,
    Eric

  • How to get the dates a user has logged into the portal??

    I need to know all the times and the dates a user has loggin to the portal? Do you know any way to do this? I was trying to use "successfullogoncount" from UME_STRING of the PCD database but it doesn't say anything about the dates. I also try to use "lastsuccessfulllogon" from the sama table but, as the name says, it just give me the last date of logon... Please help!!!

    Hi Pablo,
    probably you could work with Portal activity reports.
    This can generate reports on activity in the portal, either reports on how many users were logged on to the portal or reports on the most popular pages and iViews.
    look out on this weblog at
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/weblogs.sdn?blog=/pub/wlg/1242. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    From this you can know which user has logged on at which date and time.
    If you are not looking for Portal activity reports try this:
    You can  get this information in the Visual Administrator of the J2EE Engine.
    Goto  Security Provider Service -> Runtime -> Login (Sessions).
    This would return a table showing the users along with the logging in start date&time, (if logged out) log out date&time, user-Ids, etc.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Uma.

  • Can I determine the IP of someone who has hacked into my wireless DSL?

    I had all my PCs shut down/unplugged recently to move them but noticed the wireless light on my Actiontec was still lit/flashing.  Could this be due to someone hacking into my DSL?  I removed the antenna and it stopped.  Replaced the antenna and it started again.  I have a password on the wireless part but I understand software is out there which allows someone to determine the password.  I have not changed the password yet until I ascertain if there is any way to determine the IP of the hacker.  Or will any records just show MY IP no matter who connects?  I am concerned with someone downloading illegal material or posting messages which will come back to my IP address.
    Should I report this to Verizon now in case some legal difficulty should come my way in the future?
    I'm not very smart on this stuff so please bear with me.  Thanks...

      The IP address in this case will be absolutely useless. Because he came in through your wireless access point, he will be assigned an IP address in the 192.168.1.x range. These are non-routable IP addresses, and just about router in the world assigns connected users an IP in that range. So it is absolutely useless.
    You may be able to obtain the MAC address from the Wireless router log/statistics, at least that is likely to be unique, but it doesn't tell you where or who the hacker is.
    As the other poster suggested, lock down your wireless network. WEP is probably the easiest to use, and will certainly deter the average hacker. MAC filtering also usually works well because very few users understand how to change the MAC address through software. Basically MAC filtering only allows the MAC addresses on your list to utilize the network. WPA may or may not be available on wireless access point. It is more secure than WEP, but probably exacts a small performance price.

    I've looked, but I can't find anywhere in the console to find out who is
    currently logged in to a running WebLogic server. Is there no "finger"

    Actually, I'm looking for something in the console. It seems strange to
    have to write code for this "finger" capability.
    Thanks for the response, though. I was aware of the audit function, and
    am glad it is there. It's just not the same as finger.
