Who in Dallas, TX got a 3g iPhone?
I would like to know how your 3g is working? How many bars? I was thinking of going to the Cedar Springs AT&T store to get one. If you got one there, how was your experience? I still don't have an iPhone, but I was thinking of getting one early next week. Any comments would be appreciated.

443.35 kilobits per second
54.12 kilobytes per second
It's significantly faster than EDGE, but not near instantaneous like with Wi-Fi. Here's some rough page load times based on that speed:
My Yahoo - 15s to full load, navigational at about 5s
Drudge Report - 5s to full load
Amazon - 26s to full load (auto-login)
Apple - 17s to full load
It's enough speed to keep me happy for the next 2 years when Wi-Fi isn't available. Attachments, of course depending on size, load in no time at all (especially pictures).
Maps matched with a GPS chip knocked my socks off. It totally nailed my house on the satellite view. The screen refresh load times when I would size the map loaded significantly faster than EDGE. I can see this coming in REALLY handy. I have a GPS in my car, but it's only as good as the DVD supplying the data when it comes to finding what you need in a pinch.
The phone physically feels better in my hand. The curve in the back is subtle, but much better ergonomics overall. WAY less likely to slip - though I just bought a cool Belkin 2-pack (skin type) case for our iPhones.
Bluetooth works a lot better in my car in that I can now leave Wi-Fi on all the time - that used to be a problem in the past with my '07 3-Series BMW. There's a slight "echo" in my car with this new phone, but it beats the heck out of a fuzzy conversation.
That about covers the changes I've observed with the new iPhone, 3G, and where I'm located. I'm using it a lot (apps and such), so I don't have a gauge on what real-world battery life will be.
I went to the Apple store at Willow Bend today to get some accessories (got cheap on those docks did ya Steve?), and the line from the front door was just insane. I felt lucky I only had to wait 3 hours yesterday versus what a lot of people are still going through in comparison.

What a horrible way to treat customers. I was due for updates on my phones and thought I should maybe check some other prices but have been with Verizon for 20 yrs so ended up there. I got 2 new IPhones 5s and the wife couldn’t decide what she wanted so she stayed with old phone but this locked me into a new 2 yr contract . Within a wk one of the new iPhones started turning on and of like 10 –15 times a day. Wk 2 it turned off and would not turn on again . It was my sons who was in college at the time so we talked and he took it in to a Verizon store where he was told I need to come in since the account was in my name. He was away from home , Verizon could see on account it was his phone they said it was not abused, they could not even turn it on , they sold me the phone give him another phone maybe even a loaner till he gets another. So now I need to go to store and explain to 3 different people this is my phone and my son has it and I need a new one. what a waste of time after about 2 hrs and talking to different people and yes they said there were notes on his account from other person he had talked to from different store. So I finally walk out with a receipt in hand and being told I would have a new phone in a couple days. As I sat in my vehicle thinking this is stupid I looked at my receipt and noticed it said droid on it so back into Verizon I went. The salesman said that’s what your son has on his account. My son had activated a friends old phone so he has one since VERIZON REFUSED to give him one. Another hr 3 people and yes they can see he had a new iPhone and notes on it from other store. Sometimes sorry just doesn't do it. I was now late for a appointment . Now I walk out and have been told I will get a new iPhone in the mail in about 2 wk Yes 2 wks again I bought it there just give me a new one and you send old one back. I will also get a new droid that I have to send back because they said they cant cancel it . In about 3 days I get the Droid and sent it back Verizon mistake and a waste of my time . After waiting over 2 wks and not receiving a new iPhone back to Verizon I went . I am now bitter at Verizon after doing 20 yrs of business with them. 3 people 1 hr later I was told it got delivered to my post office . I got the tracking num called the post office and they say o yes that was the droid. Go back in to Verizon another hr of explaining I walk out being told I will get a new iPhone in a couple of days, We’ll see . Once again I got the phone in your store just give me a new one . Do you realize how much of my time you have wasted ? do you care? O what is Your Policy ? How many Billion did you make last year ? I am Locked into a new 2 yr contract . Why don’t you just release me ? After 20 yrs do you think I will ever renew my contract ?
Simple process. If an iPhone go to the Apple Store and not Verizon
the phone from Verizon will be a refurbished device and not new unless under the 14 day worry free guarantee

just got a new iphone 5s and i am trying to get on the app store but it is telling me that not connected to itunes when i connect to itunes it was fine then went back to app store it is telling me sign in to itunes store so i do that with my apple id and password but is still isn't working help

Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.

I just got a new iphone 3GS and was trying to sync it with my itunes information from my old phone. However, I keep getting multiple error messages and after the sync is complete, I find that everything has transferred except my purchased itunes music and voice memos (I record my class lectures). I am not sure what I can do to fix this. Any ideas?
The error messages are:

You chose to set up your iphone from your daughters backup.
The iphone is designed to be synced with your computer regularly. You should have set up syncing from day one.
As you have failed to sync your information, it is gone.

I got a new iPhone and i am trying to buy songs but when I go to buy a song on iTunes it says I have to answer my security questions and I don't remember the answers. I pressed where it says for them to email you your answers but I haven't gotten an email. Is there another way to change or get the answers for the security questions?
If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I forgot all of the answers to my security questions and when I set up my apple id I did not add a rescue email, I recently got a new iphone and I cannot purchase anything on it because it asks me to answer my security questions which i can't reset because I do not have a rescue email. what do I do?
this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions. The other way to reset the answers to these questions is for apple to send me an email on my rescue email addres which I DO NOT HAVE.

i got my new iPhone 5 and i connected it to my iTunes on mac and it ask me if i want to setup as new iPhone or restore backup and i restore back up but now i want to delete backup and set up as new iPhone, is the anyhow?

I have several users in an exchange environment who cannot email a photo from the iPhone. When the click on Email Photo, they are prompted to configure a mail account even though there is already an exchange account in place. How do I remediate this? Not all of the users in our environment have this issue. If the users having this issue, install a secondary email account, Gmail, Hotmail, etc, then they can send through those accounts. Why would the exchange account not be seen to send photos?
Sounds like it worked until the policies associated with the account that are creating the problem were fully pushed down.
Try setting up a new (test) Exhange account and see if it behaves the same way on the phone (after removing the problem account from the phone, of course). -
Hello guys..!! I have got my new iphone 4 2 days ago.The same day it got a problem of auto restart in every 1, to 2 minutes. I updated and restored it many times...but of no use... can any one help me how to solve this problem..!!
Go to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings. the connecto to iTunes and restore as a New phone. Do not restore any backup. If the problem persists you have a hardware problem. Take it to Apple for exchange.
This assumes that the phone is not hacked or jailbroken. If it is you will have to go elsewhere on the internet for help. -
I'm having a billing issue with my apple id. I got my first iPhone today and I've signe din etc however before i can download any apps etc i need to resolve an old payment apparently. The problem is i cant enter my new card details because the issue is registered to when i was in America and i require to pay the funds from an American source. Any ideas how i can resolve this? It wont accept my new card detail as im back in the UK. I think i have posted this in the wrong area but anyone got any ideas?

You can email Apple for help but the link is for the iTunes store not the Mac App Store. You've inadvertently poasted in the Using Mac App Store forum but that's ok. Billing issues are the same for the iTunes Store.

My husband and I share music in one itunes account for both of our iphones. We just got the new iphone 5s's and iin ttryinngto back up our old phones I have realized we SHARE one icloud as well. Can I create him a new icloud for pictures, contacts etc
You can have one icloud account and a different itunes account on the phone. I have my icloud account and a shared itunes account. He does not have to use the new icloud account as is ID in itunes and app store. He can keep using the old one.

This doesn't really seem like an iTunes Match question, but ... at this time Apple IDs can not be merged.
However, it is possible to sync the iPod with iTunes to add the music to the library. -
When I got my new iPhone and was trying to switch everything over I accidentally set up a new icloud account with one email and had one on my old iphone with another account. Does anyone know how I can merge the two accounts?
You cannot merge Apple IDs but you can go to Settings > iCloud and 'Delete Account'. When prompted to turn off documents and data, choose the only option which is Delete from my iPhone, but on the other prompt for Contacts, Calendars, etc you can choose 'Keep on my iPhone' Then once the Account is Deleted form the iPhone, log back in with the correct Apple ID and choose Merge when prompted. This will merge your data from this iPhone with that iCloud account effectively putting your devices on the same account.
