Who knows about K7T266 Pro SOUND???

I want to use my SB LIVE 4 channel surround AUDIO CARD instead of my onboard 2 channel sound, Now MSI Support says you don't have to disable onboard sound if using latest bios like v35 or v36 .. Have any of you Pros done this before?? I could just try it and see, but have a feeling SB drivers might not install properly without doing it right the first time..
What do you think? :P

I guess I should uninstall the AVANCE ONBOARD DRIVERS...
The way my common sense would dictate is:
1) uninstall the SOund Drivers
2) reboot to BIOS and DISABLE ONBOARD SOUND
3) Shutdown system and install SB LIVE CARD
4) Boot up and install SB LIVE PCI DRIVERS
SOUND ABOUT RIGHT????

Is there anybody who know about editing multiple tracks, particularly about taking out sections of all tracks?

When a track has space between video clips, the split clip allows the "delete and close gap" to go past the CTI. The delete leaves me to move the tracks manually, thereby loosing the alignment I worked so hard to create.

I have reviewed the entire thread several times. The the following is my current understanding based on your most current posts. Please let me know if I have interpreted what you wrote correctly.
You are doing 3 tracks multi-camera editing using Premiere Elements 12, with each track scene the same but each from a different angle (all 3 in sync for the moment depicted). Based on which track content is on top, you are going along deciding what is to be seen by "removing" the appropriate clip(s). And, as you do that, unwanted clip movement is occurring which is messing up your in sync multi-camera editing alignment.
I suspect all this started when you decided to use Delete and Close Gap and found that you could not on any video track other than Video Track1. It appears that you found "Cut" was an option. You do not want "Cut" in this instance, you want "Delete", and any clip movements should be made with clips as a group and/or individually with the Ctrl key or Alt key of the computer main keyboard held down as you do that.
Right now I am not understanding how Snagit got into the workflow. But, the bottom line is, if you have a strategy that works for you, please go with it. I will stay with you in this task until you succeed. As a backup, you may want to keep a copy or copies of the project with the track alignment in tact.
If I am correct in my understanding of the multi-camera editing aspects of your task, I would ask you to think about (at the right time) using Opacity of clips rather than cuts to decide what is to be shown and not shown. Select a clip, go to Applied Effects Tab/Applied Effects Palette/Opacity Panel expanded. For those clips you want to see 100% Opacity, for those you do not want to see Opacity 0% instead of a cut out.
As for the matter of Set In and Set Out points, I suspect that the Adobe rep was referring to the following splitting of clips in the Preview Window of the project. But, I do not see that as the way to go for this particular task.

Quick question(For people who know about video formats and stuff)

What type of media file is AVI? Because I looked on the list of codecs compatible with iPod and it didn't say if it was compatible or not, maybe it's something else. If you know, please tell me

For the formats that were not compatible, I converted them, and it then played the video, but with no sound. I want to get South of Nowhere for a friend on my ipod, butt he only format they come in is AVI and MPG. MPG is quicktime, I know that so it won't work. But what is AVI. Of course I could buy it from the iTunes music store, but I am a kid with no credit card, and my parents wouldn't dare trust me with that

I gave up on my Apple Monitor and bought a new 19" LCD flatscreen, but I'm getting a lot of ghosting from my windows and text which stretches the length of the screen in both directions.
The monitor came with both a DVI port and a VGA port, whereas my Mac G4 has a VGI and an ADC port. So right now I'm connected through the VGA port, and I'm guessing that's what's causing the ghosting.
I'm wondering, then, if I'd be better off with an adapter that connects a DVI cable to my VGA port, or one that connects the DVI cable to my ADC port. If either will work, then I'll probably opt for whichever is cheaper.
By the way, I'm now getting my sound through the new monitor, and I'd like to go back to the speaker on my G4, which sounds far better. Hopefully someone can address that issue as well.

The ghosting is a grey line which matches the height of a given font, or any other image that appears on the desktop. These lines run the full width of the screen, and if I move the window, they move with it.
I made a screen capture, in the off chance that it can provide an illustration. It's impossible for me to tell from this computer, but I figured it was worth a shot.

Who knows about Jar/Manifest: Class-Path-Attribute

My question is:
When packaging my classes and ressource files into a jar file, everything works fine as long as I put the manifest-file into the parent directory of the package folders (there's the main class too) and set its Class-Path-Attribut just as . (a dot).
I'm working with WinXP Prof.
As soon as I fill in a path with backslashes or slashes as separator, the produced jar-file doesn't work (class loader does'nt find main-class).
Is the problem the drive-letter (D:) in the path or do you know something else?

Yes, and likely the . is what you need ...saying: I want the packages which begin in the same directory as the jar running this application. Even if your class is in a package hierarchy like tst.test.Support.class, if the directory tst is in the same directory as the application jar, you would use classpath . not tst/test/Support.class. If you put the tst package in a directory under the folder where the jar resides, say called testit ...you would then have a classpath in the mainifest like testit/. The class path always needs to get you to the root of any package you want to use ...but not into the package itself. Java recognizes when it is looking at a package nesting due to the package declaration syntax in the files, the classpath just points to the location of the root of that package and nothing more. Does this make sense?

I am looking for the steps to change the colors in a video clip that is about 14 seconds, but so far I have only been able to change the color in the first frame of the clip, I am also trying to figure out to apply the color change of the first frame of the clip, to the rest of the frames in the clip, so the entire clip has the same color.

You'll want to find a forum for whatever video editing software you are using. Acrobat is not an editing software.

SmartPause: who knows about?

I've just received this message from Adobe: "We have diagnosed this recording further and found the cause of Choppy audio is because of a new backend feature called SmartPause we added to our server. A recording consists of various streams like audio and video. If while playback of the recording a all the streams are not playing together we automatically pause the streams to wait for lagging streams to catch up. This is SmartPause and was introduced to keep audio/video in sync within a recording."
Since I record meeting with a lot of webcam on, with the SmartPause feature (on is the default) the experience viewing the recording is very very bad.
Adobe assistance suggested me to "Now you will need to wait until the entire part comes ie "https://yucan.adobeconnect.com/_a1145731134/p39dzyxxkeq/?launcher=false&fcsContent=true&pb Mode=normal" & then you append ?smartPause=false"
This solution works fine but I cannot ask my client to do that for ever. Furthermore I've developed an application that interface Connect via API. If I lunch the link modfied (with smartpause=false), due to a redirect, I loose this possibility.

As far as I know, SmartPause can be disabled on your account via the license level as you are hosted. Log a ticket with support and ask that SmartPause be disabled on your account.
Also, if you've got the URL in the format you mentioned below, or the "entire/full" URL like this:

Then you should be appending smartpause like this:

Thanks for the reply. Let us try the Crop way with keyframing described in another way.....
1. Are you OK with creating the 4 lines of text in the opened Titler and closing the Titler to have the created title on the Timeline?
(This is 4 lines created by typing continuously the 4 lines rather than creating 4 separate lines of text.)
2. After the Titler is closed, you want to apply the Crop effect to the Timeline title (open fx Effects Tab, go to Transform/Crop, and drag the thumbnail for
Crop into the Timeline title).
3. Now we are going to edit the Crop effect that was just applied. For that, click on the title on the Timeline to selected/highlighted, and go to
Applied Effects Tab/Applied Effects Palette/Crop Panel expanded.
At this point, you should see
Your next objective is to move the Bottom slider in the Crop Panel expanded to establish what you see on screen across
the duration of the title. We need to use the technique of keyframing to do that. If we did not and just set the Crop's
Bottom slider to hide the last three lines, we would just see the first line across the video duration and never see
the last three line. It would look like
Are you OK so far with what needs to be done. If so, I will go through keyframing of the Crop effect.
Keyframing
Refer back to the first screenshot
1. Use the -+ slider above the Timeline to expand the Timeline to get a better look at its content (the title).
Right click the title to which the Crop effect has been applied. Select Show Clip Keyframes/Crop and Bottom.
Now every time you create a keyframe (to reveal another line) where you have placed the Timeline Indicator, you will see a white dot on the orange band that
runs through the title clip
2. In the Crop Panel expanded, focus on the "Bottom" slider. Move that "Bottom" slider to the right, hiding the last 3 lines of text.
Have the Timeline Indicator at the start of the Timeline.

3. Move the Timeline Indicator to the right to an envisioned 25% mark along the clip, move the "Bottom" slider to the left to reveal

4. Move the Timeline Indicator to the right to an envisioned 50% mark along the clip, move the "Bottom" slider to the left to reveal
the third line of text. You will see a white dot (keyframe) automatically placed at that Timeline 50% point.
5. Move the Timeline Indicator to the right to an envisioned 75% mark along the clip, move the "Bottom" slide to the left to reveal
the fourth line of text. You will see a white dot (keyframe) automatically placed at that Timeline 75% point.
After you press the Render button above the Timeline, what does that look like when played back in the Edit area monitor?
These keyframes are adjustable.

To people who know about Macbook startup issues, can you please help me???

I have a troubleshooting issue regarding the bootup on my Macbook which I have been using it for a year or two since December of 2007. I have no problems of it until now and it's making me frustrated. When I was doing a homework assignment for school, I used the Spotlight search feature to search for the assignment I wanted. All of a sudden, my Mac frozed on me that I decided to press the power button to turn it off. I did it successfully until I started it back up. When the computer tries to turn it on, there are three short beeps (beep - beep - beep repeating itself for 2-3 sec) along with the blinking light indicating something's is up. Any ideas or solutions??? Please, thank you.

Hmm. Is this series of beeps similar to a "S.O.S." type sound?

I have built an application that runs as expected on Mac OS X. Take the same program and run it on OS 9 (after using MRJAppBuilder) and the errors start. I have included the error below, I never use Vector.toString() so I am wondering if this may be in my JDBC drivers code, or a problem with Apple's MRJ? The code in Question I traced from the EventHandlers actionPerformed method which calls a fetch() method in our Connector class which uses JDBC driver to access the database. For someone who knows about Micros

A friend's lent me his broken Micro to try and fix - apart from what I've already done, obviously - any ideas apart from returning it's
When turned on not connected to the charger, it starts up to the 'Zen Micro' text and then freezes. Same happens when battery is removed and replaced.
When charger is connected and it's turned on, it goes to 'Rebuilding Library' and the HD whirs for ten minutes or so, then it seems to freeze. There's no progress bar displayed on the 'Rebuilding' screen.

All you can do is try the options in Rescue Mode. I suspect Reload Firmware is your last option to try, and obviously don't format it if he has valuable data on there.
