My requirement is I need to develop a query whole seller analysis.
my client wants,  there are 3 pharma depots(Daily basis sales) are there.based on that they need  a report.
here the thing is they dont know the required data where it is located.
I want to find out in  in ECC side and BI side.
Please give me the outlines wht are the things I need to check in ECC and BI side.
and what is the development procedure...

  • Frequency Analysis - batch automation Query

    Hi,
    I was wondering if its possible within adobe audition to automate a process of performing frequency analysis on a batch of audio files and saving the frequency analysis windows in individual bmp files?
    There is a file batch utility which I am aware of for processing groups of files. However with the frequency analysis window - the only way of saving this window is by Alt-PrintScreen and manually saving file to another bitmap package.
    Is anyone aware of a way/system/tools of achieving this ?

    There's no way of doing this within Audition, but I think that there are external batch process programs that might let you do this using Audition - if you see what I mean. I don't personally do things like that, but maybe somebody who does could recommend one? Alternatively, and probably rather a better bet, re-ask the question on the AudioMasters forum. You are more likely to get a meaningful response, quite frankly.

  • Analysis Authorization and Query

    Hi everybody,
    while studying the new analysis authorization concept in BI7 I tested a little bit around. I was wondering how I can realize the following scenario:
    A user should see "0VERSION" "2" and "0DIVISION" "01" as well as "0VERSION" "5" and "0DIVISION" "02" while executing the query with BEx Analyzer.
    Am I right that I have to create two analysis authorizations?  How do I have to model the query? I always get the message that my testuser does not have enough authority.

    Did you ever get a resolution to the question you asked.  I am facing the same scenario now where i want to restrict a user to seeing seeing the following:
    user must see:
    Division = 001 and Area = A
    Division = 002 and Area = B
    But he must not see Division 001, Area B for example
    Creating the analysis authorizations is not a problem, the problem is modelling the query to return this result.  I always get no results due to lack of authorization as the authorization variables try to return All Division "001" and "002" and All "A" and "B"
    As i see it, you cannot model the query to return the required result.  What would be ideal is if the query would only return what the user is authorized to, rather than returning nothing and giving an auth error.

  • Sales analysis report - in query form?

    Good afternoon. Looking for a bit if help/advice.
    I'm not a complete novice to SAP but what I need is confusing me slightly. I understand the sales analysis report uses many different table as part of its calculations. A company I've recently began working for, who has had SAP for a while, has used sales analysis reports alongside some bespoke reports that are reporting different data.
    Here is their report:

    It just doesn't give the same totals as the sales analysis report but I can't reproduce the sales analysis report. How would I go about getting the right figures? Because what we ideally need is to filter the sales analysis results by some of our custom fields:
    [U_ClientNam], [Name] etc.
    How would I go about this? Can I extract parts of the sales analysis report somehow and run it as a query I can manipulate?

  • Scope of analysis and use query drill?

    Hai Everyone,
    I have a hierarchy in my universe
    country>region>client town -->client area
    Now at reporting level if I keep country>client town>client area in scope of analysis its working fine but when I would like to have the drill in this way i.e region>client town>client area  ,here even I don't want drill up from region to country,Its allowing to drill up.
    I have tried even by disabling "Use Query Drill "  option .
    What is the reason behinde it to drill up by creating a new query?

    Hi pujitha,
    when you define a hierarchy and run a report ,that data is brought into cube. So because of this it's allowing you to drill up  
    from region to country.
    One thing you can do is try query drill. It will actually fire a query on database when you want to drill further (up or down).

    Hi,
    I need some help please!
    I need a query where I can compare sales to the previous year, preferably with manual date range entries.
    CardCode u2013 CardName u2013 SalesX u2013 SalesY
    Where the date range is the same but SalesY is for the corresponding time 1 year back.
    I can get the individual totals for each year but I cannot get to combine the two years in one report.

    Sorry, just get spare time to read and reply your post.
    I'm gonna give you explanation regarding your statement here "I notice that if I manualy type in a date in the date range and there is no posting on that date it will generate a blank report".
    Unlike SQL stored procedure or function where you can pass any value to the passing parameter (as long as you pass appropriate data type), you have to pass value from certain table in B1 if you do the query in B1 query generator.
    Thus, this following code:
    DECLARE @DateFrom AS DATETIME
    DECLARE @DateTo AS DATETIME
    SELECT @DateFrom=DocDate FROM OINV T0 WHERE T0.DocDate='[%0]'
    SELECT @DateTo=DocDate FROM OINV T1 WHERE T1.DocDate='[%1]'
    You can't do something like this for instance (in B1 query generator case):
    DECLARE @DateFrom AS DATETIME
    DECLARE @DateTo AS DATETIME
    SET @DateFrom='[%0]'
    SET @DateTo='[%1]'
    So, you need to select from certain table (I use OINV in this case) as a bait to contain the variable with a value.
    Therefore, the reason you didn't get any result if you typed the data manually, it wasn't due to manual input / you choose the date from drop down. It was merely cause by the date which you entered manually doesn't have any record in OINV table. Make sense isn't it, it is as if you try to do the following query
    SELECT @DateFrom=DocDate FROM OINV T0 WHERE T0.DocDate='1/1/2012'
    where actually you don't have any record in OINV table with '1/1/2012' date.
    So, you could change above code with this
    DECLARE @DateFrom AS DATETIME
    DECLARE @DateTo AS DATETIME
    SELECT @DateFrom=RateDate FROM ORTT T0 WHERE T0.RateDate='[%0]'
    SELECT @DateTo=RateDate FROM ORTT T1 WHERE T1.RateDate='[%1]'

    DECLARE @DateTo AS DATETIME
    SELECT @DateFrom=RefDate FROM OJDT T0 WHERE T0.RefDate='[%0]'
    SELECT @DateTo=RefDate FROM OJDT T1 WHERE T1.RefDate='[%1]'
    Because, logically, you should have much more date data in those two table (ORTT for daily exchange rate and OJDT for journal entry). It doesn't mean you want to retrieve data pertaining with exchange rate or journal entry, as I said in above, it serve only as a bait to fill your parameter @DateFrom and @DateTo used in your query logic with date value. The table itself doesn't matter.
    Hope now you could understand the basic concept here.

    Try this. It's got a bug in it but nothing to do with the invoice and crdit note listing. In any case this lists both invoices and credit notes.
    I was going to try and merge some of this with your syntax but I gotta run right now. Hopefully I'll P/U ur emails tomos.

  • Error querying OLAP universe based on BEx query

    Hi all,
    I have a problem extracting larger (more than 80 000 rows) amounts of data through querying an OLAP universe with WebI.
    The error is:
    Query 1 - NAME_OF_THE_QUERY
    A database error occurred. The database error text is: Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. &INCLUDE INCL_INSTALLATION_ERROR. (WIS 10901)
    The error occurs when I define larger scope of analysis in the query (four levels). With more modest scope (three levels or less) it's working OK. I need larger data set (more than 200 000 rows) to be populated at night through scheduling the report. We can't afford shrink the scope of analysis because it will hit the BW server during the day when it's needed by other users.
    Besides this the speed of the report refresh is very slow - more than 3 minutes per just 400 rows of data. I'm still unable to identify the source of the problem with this slowdown. Executing the same query over the web through the SAP BW BEx Viewer is much much faster - just 3 seconds. Maybe the reason for this is that the BEx viewer aggregates data on the higher level of the hierarchy rather than down to transaction level (like we do by expanding the scope of analysis).
    Anyway, if anyone have ideas about the error above I'll be very grateful if you share your thoughts. Thanks!

    Could you point me to an official SAP document regarding the 1 million cells limitation, which describes the exact version and patch level for SAP BW which removes this limitation? It will be very helpful for me because I have to convince the client to migrate BW from 3.0 to 7.01 if it will solve this limitation.

  • BEx: In Query Design I can't EXPAND Dim to select Char (missing + sign)

    I am in BI 7, but created some queries in RRMX i.e. the 3.x query designer.
    I went back to create a new query and I see my InfoArea but no means to expand it to select a cube, missing + sign and I can't expand the InfoArea.
    When I managed to open one of the old queries, in the query design, I see my design but all the Dimensions are missing the + sign and I can't expand them to select characteristics;
    In the same token, I can't expand the KEY Figure tree to select key figures, etc.
    Any help?

        1) a   There is no such rule as when to use query designer or analyzer. Essentially creating a query is done in query designer only. The only thing when using analyser to open query designer is that you can directly go to that query and change it and run the same in the analyser(Excel). To change a query when you directly go to query designer, you need to open the query manually using the "open query" button and you cant execute the report in excel from there(only web). As you can see there is no real difference, in my personal experience using query designer and then running the query on the web is much faster than using the analyser. Also excel has a limit of 65536 rows after which you cant really display the result. There is no such limit in the web analyser.

    2)      There may be a problem with maybe the patch level or something. No real idea why this is occuring. You can definitely open the report in excel using the BI7 analyser. Programs -> Business explorer ->Analyzer.

  • Analyse a partitioned table with more than 50 million rows

    I have a partitioned table with more than 50 million rows. The last analyse is on 1/25/2007. Do I need to analyse him? (query runs on this table is very slow).
    If I need to analyse him, what is the best way? Use DBMS_STATS and schedule a job?

    A partitioned table has global statistics as well as partition (and subpartition if the table is subpartitioned) statistics. My guess is that you mean to say that the last time that global statistics were gathered was in 2007. Is that guess accurate? Are the partition-level statistics more recent?
    Do any of your queries actually use global statistics? Or would you expect that every query involving this table would specify one or more values for the partitioning key and thus force partition pruning to take place? If all your queries are doing partition pruning, global statistics are irrelevant, so it doesn't matter how old and out of date they are.
    Are you seeing any performance problems that are potentially attributable to stale statistics on this table? If you're not seeing any performance problems, leaving the statistics well enough alone may be the most prudent course of action. Gathering statistics would only have the potential to change query plans. And since the cost of a query plan regressing is orders of magnitude greater than the benefit of a different query performing faster (at least for most queries in most systems), the balance of risks would argue for leaving the stats alone if there is no problem you're trying to solve.
    If your system does actually use global statistics and there are performance problems that you believe are potentially attributable to stale global statistics and your partition level statistics are accurate, you can gather just global statistics on the table probably with a reasonably small sample size. Make sure, though, that you back up your existing statistics just in case a query plan goes south. Ideally, you'd also have a test environment with identical (or nearly identical) data volumes that you could use to verify that gathering statistics doesn't cause any problems.

  • ABC Analysis (revisited again!!!)

    I saw few posts on how to do ABC analysis, but there were no concrete answers.
    To summarize the requiement (say based on Good Receipt Quantities):
    1. Top 25 -> indicate as 'A'
    2. Bottom 25 -> indicate as 'C'
    3. Records between 25 to 75. -> indicate as 'B'.
    SAP How to paper(How to.. Realize an ABC Analysis) is on counts and not on cummulative %.
    I used CKF, but it is only for display.
    I used conditions, but it does not give the middle B records.
    The last option would be VB macro, but then this would be not be a fantastic solution, as SAP Query can do ABC analysis, but BW Query would not be able to!!!

    For example :
    Classified Object (= a Characteristic)= clients
    Classification Criterion (= a Key Figure)= revenues
    You want "20% classes" (five)
    The ABC analysis ranks the records from the bigger value to the lower value of the Classification Criterion.
    - If you want the APD to classify as a "TOP N" of your Classified Object, you will have to choose the "Cumulated Percentage of Classified Object" while building your ABC model.
    ==> It will give you a classification that answers    to "who are the 20% of my clients that gave me the best revenues?".
    - If you want the APD to classify your Classified Object regarding the percentage of the Classification Criterion, you will have to choose the "Cumulated Percentage of Classification Criterion"
    ==> It will give you a classification that answers to "who are the clients that gave me 20% of my revenues?".

    I am facing a strange and I am unable to get the soulution I am trying out optimization of queries & using explain plan for tht I had analysed my tables
    Query on the table was using index earlier on a databse... there is no change in db no new rows inserted nothing but now same query in not using Index wht could be the problem. I used hints as well but no use.
    Please let me know wht should I do?

    Are you saying that the same query on the same database with the same data and the same statistics has a different plan? Are you sure that nothing is different? Different version of the database? Different statistics?
