Why am I directed to Google's homepage when I conduct a Custom Search? I'm using FF 8.0 and this worked before on 7.01 and now it works with other browsers.

I'm using FF 8.0 beta. I have a tool bar called Recruiting Bar. From the toolbar, I'm directed to a Custom Search page. When I used 7.01, I would have results using the Custom Search page. I am now directed to Google's home page using 7.01 and beta 8.0. I'm was able to run the Custom Search without any hitches in the past and now I can only use the toolbar on other OS's.

Homepage verizon yahoo has small size and print but ok with other browsers and other web sites ok

The Maximize/Restore button only changes the size of the Firefox window, not that of content on web pages.
You may have accidentally zoomed out on that site, or the site may simply have smaller text than others.

No sound with Flash player. It works with other browsers

I have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions but there is no sound when the most recent version of Flash Player plays a video.
This is with Windows 7. Sound works in other browsers with Flash Player

Why all do videos stop when i maximize them on youtube ? i can only hear sound. It hasnt happened before. It works with other browsers. I wouldnt like to change mozilla.

I use babylon as my dictionary and it dosen't work properly with firefox, but works with other browsers!

Babylon as a dictionary has a feature to simplify finding of word's meanings. This feature is using of middle mouse button to click on any word and in any application such as internet browsers to find its meanings, but this dosen't work in firefox 3.6. When I press middle mouse button on a word, it dose not select it correctly or may be select another word. Any solution?

I had this problem. I fixed it by right clicking on the website page and found I had inadvertently ticked "block images from this website". Uncheck this and it's fine!

I am recieving an xml parsing error message on a website I use for work. It used to work on firefox but now it has stopped. It works with other browsers though.

Thanks for your reply cor-el. I had never heard of nor seen the pref network.http.max-connections until I read about it in some of the replies in this support forum. People were saying 256 was the old setting and a new setting of 48 would correct my problem. When I followed the instructions to get to - see - and change the setting I discovered that my network.http.max-connections was already set to 48. I never did this. The only way I can think of that this setting was changed is that it happened by an automatic update to my Firefox browser. So, the problem I have was probably happening while this setting was at 48 all along. It is still set at 48 and I am still having the same problem. I will try as you suggest and set it to 30 and see what happens. I'll let you know the results. That's again for your response.

I cannot interract with tools on a forum I belong to, works with other browsers.

Are your wireless names SMB compatible.. ie Short.. No spaces.. pure alphanumeric.
Are you using WPA2 Personal security with pure alphanumeric key of about 8-12 characters?
If you still have issues.. lock the wireless channels for 2.4ghz.. try using 1, 6, and 11 in turn.. they are the only non-overlapping channels.
In windows 7 load up bonjour for windows.. that can help.
Also ensure the windows networking is set for home, not work or public.
You may need to turn off the internal firewall.. if you have a laptop there could be more than one.

Navigation in Google search page is not working, this does not happen with other browsers or other search engines.

When using Google search I cannot navigate to pages other than the first page of search results. It does not seem to matter whether I use the page number or the next hyperlink, I cannot navigate away from search page 1.
