Why am I receiving so many unwanted solicitation emails?
Since switching to Firefox, I am receiving so many unwanted junk emails - every day I am unsubscribing to at least 10 per day - probably more. Never had this problem before. Any suggestions on how to stop this.
Nothing to do with Firefox, which doesn't do email.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, see this forum for support.

For any one of the thirteen billion reasons why any given mail doesn't get to its intended recipient.
Seriously, there are way too many possibilities, especially given the zero information you've given.
For one, are you running your own domain? or using your ISP account? or some other account such as Gmail, yahoo, etc.?
Same question for the sender?
Is it all mail from these individuals? or just some? (could indicate a content filtering issue)
Is it all mail from a given domain? or just some? (e.g. if the sender is using Yahoo, do you recieve mail from other Yahoo users?)
Can you email them?
In other words, more data (heck, any data!) is needed in order to troubleshoot this one. -

Try looking in your Junk folder on your email account. They might be in this folder if you arent always on your account.

Why am I receiving emails saying that I have exceeded my iCloud storage, when the methods above show that I am using <4Gb of the 50Gb I have paid for?
The problem could be that you don't have enough storage on the device itself, not on iCloud. Go to Settings>General>Usage to see how much "Storage" you have available. Farther down the list is the available storage on iCloud.
Also check:
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage; there, tap the device you need info on and the resulting screen lists Backup Options with which apps store data on iCloud.
A device needs many MB of storage in order to perform a backup to iCloud.

Why do I receive the message on my Macintosh,"You can't open the (name of application) application because Power PC applications are no longer accepted"?" At one time the Mac software worked so I'm confused. Fore example I tried to open Concorder Pro snd it gave me the message.
From a recent post I answered for a similar question about the lack of PowerPC app support in Mt. Lion:
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. If your Mac will support it, restore OS X Snow Leopard;
2. If your Mac will support it, partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" method to choose between your PowerPC software or Lion/Mt. Lion;
3. Upgrade your software to Intel compatible versions if they are available, or find alternative software that will open your data files, modify them and save them;
4. Install Snow Leopard Server (with Rosetta) into Parallels or VMWare Fusion. Apple is now selling Snow Leopard Server for only $19.99 + sales tax & shipping; call 1.800.MYAPPLE (1.800.692.7753). This solution will give you concurrent use of your PowerPC applications and access to Lion or Mt. Lion.

We are trying to make an project where we can make a person register in our data base & after which he/she can search for other user.
The logged in user can modify his/her own data but can view other ppl's data.
We are in a phase of registering the user & that's where we are stuck. The problem is that after the login screen when we hit register (OK- button) the data are not getting entered in the data base.

Why am I receiving picture texts as text messages and not iMessages?
Why I am receiving pictures sent to my messages as texts but not an imessage? I know the person who's sending it also has an iPhone 4s, but everytime she sends me a picture I need to wait till I enable 3g before i receive it. I have wi-fi all day at work but I disable 3g cause sprints 3g network is useless at my work. No point keeping it on, but when she attempts to send me a picture from her iPhone I receive after I leave work and turn on 3g. Does any one have an idea what exactly may be going on? Shouldn't I receive the picture text as an iMessage since I have wi-fi on all day...? Thanks everyone

Trying to Burn MP3 CD - Why Does it Require So Many CDs?
I imported a bunch of my daughter's CDs as MP3 files. When I was done, I created a playlist in iTunes and moved all the MP3 files into it. iTunes tells me that I have 304 songs in the playlist, taking up 696.8 Mb. I then tried to burn the entire playlist to CD, but in the course of the burn iTunes told me that the burn would span CDs. After inserting my 4th CD, I stopped the process.
I might be able to understand why this would take 2 CDs (even though I used a 700Mb CD), but why did it require so many more? More importantly, how do I set up iTunes so I can import around 600 Mb of MP3 songs onto only one CD? This would seem to me to be a pretty common process, but iTunes is giving me fits!
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

ScottI have read many threads about similar situations and the only thing I can suggest is buy "music pro cd-r's". My friend and I had the same problem and that solved it, hope it does for you too.

I am so upset. Please read my messages from my postings. This has nothing to do with SIM Card, Hard Reset, Apps, Google Gmail Account, nothing. I have gone thru all of this and NOTHING has fixed this. I went to the store today and spoke to the manager on duty. He said he had to try and duplicate the problem before he could help me. I showed him "screen captures" I did, told him it's out here on the board, etc. etc. Needless to say I ended up coming home with the same phone, "he" erased the phone and started over again. Well guess what, it's not a error with "MY" Gmail account being corrupted because if that is the case Mrs. Hayden14 has a bad Gmail account too. If you guessed it, the phone just crashed again! I was able this time to capture a report with ALL the history in it and saved screen captures to PROVE to him this is not a joke. Even the report says "Crash". This time it was something else I don't even or ever have used. I have also wasted over a day , yes a full work day on this without question.
I have had to get the run around for the last day. This is totally ridiculous, including them putting me on hold for 55 min. Oh, that's another funny story. Anyways, tomorrow morning I am going to the Verizon store one last and final time and I hope they decided to do the right thing and give me a phone that does not crash and works. It would be handy at work for me, especially where I work at. I hope hope hope someone listens to and helps me. I would love for them to see me walk in, take my phone and say to me were going to get you another phone, hand it to me, see if it works and prove it's the device. I don't hear anyone having this issue on other phone types so sounds like its the phone type.
I have had 3 phones now in the matter of 2 weeks. I am sure the FedEx charges will add up to a cost of a new phone at some point and start to outbalance your requirement to give me the same phone when it has the same problem.
Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow. -
iTunes is billing my account for my purchases, but I am no longer receiving a receipt in my email, why is this ? And how do I get it fixed ?

I think they're slowly nudging people to switch, .mac & MobileMe are going away about July, may as well set it up now.
I understand .mac mail will still come through.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
• Server name: imap.mail.me.com
• SSL Required: Yes
• Port: 993
• Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)

Why am I receiving the following message when I try to move a song from my iTunes library into my iPod touch's music folder?

Why can I receive but not send in mail?
why can I receive and not send in MAIL. It is configured the same as my desktop?
Message says Cannot send message using server smtp.
When I go to connectiom doctor Connection status says mail was able to connect to internet. smtp says connection to server succeeded, login not required. but it can't seem to login inot my account. I am running it wirelessly.
