Why becomes 8Gb of avi's 1280x720 merged into 1 container  50 or 100 GB?

Im trying to understand why 20 avi's (1280x720) 500KB per piece merged in to a single container go's up to 50 or 100gb mpg4.
The smallest container without loss(i think), mpeg2 1280x720 go's up to 34400MB => 34,4 GB.
still four times bigger.
Can some one explain this to me?
I want 20 avi's merged in to one container and 1280x720, stereo 320kbps 48Khz samplespeed. all smaller then 500MB.
Total map size is 8,7Gb. so 10 Gb Blueray disk image is possible or not?

ATR,
Thanks for the effort,
The file size was few seconds more then 22 min (the exact time of the first episode)
The proces i did them twice: (copy /b 01.avi+02.avi+...20.avi c:\test.avi) (the file size was exacly the count up when you select all files in the folder.)
So it worked i think.
Ive had a sleep over (it) to night  (not a person but ive let my brain chuwe on the problem wile i was sleeping ) and maybe the thing is that avi's made on a camera are devided by onboard-software because of maximum of file size limits when you make a video.
So when you make a long video the camera makes serveral files of that one action making a video.
And maybe thoze AVI-files have an other end-code then a produced avi with a program/software. (so the editingsoftware can stich thoze back together in one file.)
So  in that copy proces: the(new) test.file video end-code is the first end-code its encounter and that is the one from episode one (22.6 minutes)
Infact al the other avi material is properly placed behind it but the viewingsoftware is not able to pase that endcode.
(ive tested the test.avi on my XBMC device(thats linux open source) and it did't accept it and won't start or play.=>conclusion the AVI protocol/encoding wasn't correctly made up.
The point is that the DV-Avi is only 720x576/50i and all the other formats are Mpeg-2 ;H264avc; Mpeg-4; MKV wich have bigger bitrates so al type of encoding needs extra bits to get that bitrate. (there isn't a AVi 1280x720p standaard availble in thoze edittingprograms.
I will search for a program that can recode the avi's to a other container and recode every file to lets say Mpeg4 and after that stich those files.
Thanks
Spike29
Edit: i have  found Freemake Video Converter (watch out with installation they try install lot of garbage and ad there logo in your file) its a simple converter and ive converted it to mpeg2(most equal to the sourceAVI.) It was only for testing to see of a other container was easier and smaller to stich.
(map(20 files) properties are: 13.2 Gb file prop.:1280x720; 5188Kbps/5508Kbps 25fps =>892Mb. origineel:1280x720 2683Kbps/3003Kbps 24fps=>475Mb
So basicly i can't stich without getting minimal two times the original file size.

  • Why are swatches I'm not using 'merge' into my document?!?

    Do color swatches 'stick' to an  Illustrator file even after you delete them? I have to use the same spec box on all my documents to relay info to my printer which is in it's own Illustrator doc. BUT when I copy it and paste it into any file I am working on Illustrator always asks me about merging the swatches even tho there is only ONE color being used in my spec box file. HELP!!! My printer is losing patience b/c they think my files are a mess when I send them but my swatch pallet is clean and tidy on my end! Is there a way to clean up this mess??
    Thanks!

    Sticky Colors
    There is a technical problem where swatches keep coming back, but you would see "deleted global color" as the swatch name. If your swatch palette is tidy and clean, then make a screen shot and attach that in an email to your printer, and ask them to return a screenshot showing the problem colors. Post the screenshot here and we can better help you.
    Merge Swatches Notification
    Does you clipboard and the document you are pasting into both contain the offending color? That error should only come up in that case and the colros haev the same name, btu a different color composition

  • Why is 8gb only showing total memory of less than 6.5?

    why is 8gb only showing total memory of less than 6.5?

    Because the difference is due to the operating system taking up most of the diference and the other is how GB is advertised and actually used.

  • Why Please. I am unable to Merge iPhotos Events

    Very sorry to start the title as above
    Since the latest update my iPhoto is no longer worth using.
    I used to be able to put important pictures from my iPhone and drag and drop and any Event Folder i choice
    I also use to be able to pick a Complete event folder and merge into another.
    Now is seems this option is no longer available. WHY!
    p.s. the new iMac iPhoto layout look is just a waste of time.

    Please explain a bit more. Which update are you referring to?
    Are you now using the recently released Photos for Mac with MacoS X 10.10.3 Yosemite, or are you referring to an iPhoto '11 update?
    I also use to be able to pick a event folder and merge into another. Cannot anymore.
    Since the update i cannot do this any more, i do have other issues but this is the main one that i am ****** off about..
    If you are now using "Photos for Mac" you cannot merge events any longer, because three are no events in Photos. The library will be automatically split into Moments, based on date  and location data.

  • Why does RoboHelp 8 crash when compiling merged HTML help after deleting a child project in TOC

    Why does RoboHelp 8 crash when compiling merged HTML help after deleting a child project in TOC? I would be grateful for any assistance.
    Here's the situation:
    -- I recently upgraded from RoboHelp X5 to RoboHelp 8. I upgraded my projects to RoboHelp 8 projects.
    -- One large help system I manage is built such that there is one master project and about 25 child projects. Each of these is its own item in the master project TOC.
    -- In RoboHelp X5 I never had any trouble deleting these.
    -- However now in RoboHelp 8, whenever I delete one (by opening TOC pod, right-clicking on item in question, and clicking Delete), and proceed to "Generate Primary Layout" (MS HTML Help), the generation/compilation process proceeds as far as "Generating full-text search data" and then the whole program crashes!
    Am I doing something wrong? Is there a bug in the software? I have installed patches 8.0.1 and 8.0.2.
    Once again, I thank you in advance for any pointers.

    As you say, this should not give a problem then, but the only way to be sure the system is doing what you believe it should do is to use the same variables in the test and in the insert statement. The bind variable depends on the programming language you use and may pass something else than the string that oracle generates in the select from dual. I do not say it will be as such, I just want to make sure that this is not the problem. I have seen things like this before and you keep on looking in the wrong direction for a solution.

  • JLabel Text merges into JComboBox - GBLayout bug?

    Hello,
    http://666kb.com/i/ayv9fbt03b8v1bkcy.png
    as you can see the text of the JLabel goes into the JComboBox, buy why? The Code looks ok to me:
    panel3.setLayout(new GridBagLayout());
           addJComponentToJPanel( panel3,movieFormatLB       ,0 , 0 , 4 , 1 , 1 , 1 , GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH);
           addJComponentToJPanel( panel3,movieFormatCB       ,1 , 0 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH);
           addJComponentToJPanel( panel3,movieFormatAddBT    ,2 , 0 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH);
           addJComponentToJPanel( panel3,movieFormatDelBT    ,3 , 0 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH);
           addJComponentToJPanel( panel3,playLengthLB        ,0 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH);
           addJComponentToJPanel( panel3,playLengthCB        ,1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH);
           addJComponentToJPanel( panel3,playLengthAddBT     ,2 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH);
           addJComponentToJPanel( panel3,playLengthDelBT     ,3 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH);
           addJPanelToJFrame( panel3,0,2,1,1,1,5,GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH);        another problem is why can`t I change the width of the add/del Buttons? I can enter any value in in weightX doesnt matter nothing changes?

    void addJComponentToJPanel(JPanel panel, JComponent c, int gridx, int gridy, int gridwidth, int gridheight, double weightx, double weighty, int anchor, int fill )
             panel.add(c, new GridBagConstraints(gridx, gridy, gridwidth, gridheight, weightx, weighty, anchor, fill, new Insets(0, 0, 0, 0), 0, 0));
        }when i change this line:
    addJComponentToJPanel( panel3,movieFormatCB       ,1 , 0 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 1 , GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH); to this:
    addJComponentToJPanel( panel3,movieFormatCB ,1 , 0 , 1 , 1 , *30* , 1 , GridBagConstraints.NORTH,GridBagConstraints.BOTH);
    JLabel + JComboBox are still more merging into each other not only that the add/del Buttons dont get smaller by widening the JComboBox but this is what i wanna achieve.

    Let me explain the FULL picture...
    We have 3 environments (databases) with the same table structure. I have to take the data from Table A, in DEV database, and copy it to Table A, in TST and PROD database. They don't want to loose any data that is already in TST and PROD. PLUS, I can't use any DATABASE LINKS (against OUR standards). This is why I was thinking of using the MERGE or UPDATE statements.
    I have a script that reads Table A, and builds a script with all the UPDATE statement. Then I found that TOAD could build a MERGE INTO script for me, so I did that. When I tried executing the MERGE script, I got the STRING error (max of 4000 char exeeded).
    What are my alternatives?
    Please advise !
    Thanks in advance,
    Marc.

  • Why does the keyboard on my iPad split into two sides

    Why does the keyboard on my iPad split into two sides?

    To elaborate a little more Nick, that is a feature designed to make it easier to type when holding the iPad with both hands.
    If you tap the icon in the lower right of the keyboard, you will see the option to Merge the keyboard back together. If you hold the icon and drag your finger up and down, you will move the keyboard.
    Hope that helps!

  • All tracks from one artist merged into one huge album. How to separate into correct albums?

    So all the songs from one artist have merged into one huge album. All I did was select all the songs and changed the artist name. Not sure why my iPod has it under one album. On iTunes they're separated into the correct albums but on my iPod it isn't. All the info (Artist name, album name, etc) is good, i checked a million times and still can't seem to figure out why my iPod is reading it like that. Has anyone ever had this problem?

    Thanks for the great link!
    Although it doesn't allow me to cut 'n paste, like I was hoping, the answers give me a lot of insight as to how the track fields are structured, as well as full control over whether or not I want to group tracks together within the same Album.  So, in the end, this information is more useful than the cut 'n paste function, as it prevents me from losing potentially useful track information.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    You can't merge accounts but there may be some things you can do, what exactly are you trying to achieve by merging accounts.

    Hi Craig
    Unfortunately, in your case, there isn't really a way to separate them as far as I can think.
    You could try restoring from a backup, and choosing an older backup perhaps

  • Two separate iPhones got merged into one iTunes account. How to separate them. We are sharing all of each other's contacts at this time. Thanks for your help.

    Two separate iPhones got merged into one iTunes account. How can I separate them in iTunes???????. We are sharing all of each other's contacts at this time. Thanks for your help.

    The reason you are receiving each other's text messages is because you are both using the same Apple ID for iMessage.  To prevent this you need to use different IDs.  (Note: you can still share the same ID for iTunes.)  On one of the phones, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a separate ID.
    To migrate your 3GS to a new iCloud account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep on the phone to your camera roll.  To do this, open the my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  Next, if you have any notes that you are syncing with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to email these to yourself so they can be recreated after moving to the new account.
    Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, choose Keep On My iPhone.  Next, sign back in with a different Apple ID to create the new account, turn iCloud data syncing preferences and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.
    Finally, if you have merged data in the two accounts that you want to separate you will have to go to icloud.com from your computer, sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want from each account.
