Why can't I Drag & Drop a link from my address bar to my Bookmarks Toolbar in 4.0? I have the toolbar activated, but I can't do this. I was able to do it no problem with 3.6.
Drag & Drop for bookmarking a link from Address bar to Bookmarks Toolbar is not working in 4.0. Was working in 3.6, then I upgraded to 4.0 and everything got screwed up. How can I fix this?
I ditched 4.0 and went back to 3.6.17 but I can't drag and drop with it either. The Favicom idea didn't work for me either. Once in a great while it will work, but usually that ends up screwing up my bookmarks and everything being re-arranged. How could something so simple and basic NOT WORK anymore?

I have an ipod touch 4g (8GB), I got this about 2.5 months ago, the same time my brother get his. My problem is that I noticed that audio quality is better on his device than mine. I have been listening to music and had different music devices before (non-Apple product and mobile phone) and the quality of music is better when I used to listen to those devices as well as my brother's ipod touch. Im referring to the left and right audio channels. Im not so good about the technical stuff but the best explanation I can give you is in a music or a movie, there's an effect wherein you can here a sound only at the left ear phone/speaker that you cant hear at the right earphone/speaker. I mean for example in a song, a guitar intro can be heared only at the left
ear while the background music plays on the other ear. Or when theres and echo effect on the song that alternates sound on the left and right ear. I hope youre getting what Im trying to say. Im bothered that my ipod is fake or has an internal problem on the chips or something because I didnt bought this at an Apple Center/Mac Center. I bought it on a retailer. I am not able to visit any store or Genius Bar or contact an apple specialist through phone because of my work schedule and work load. I have contacted the retailer before when I tried to return it for replacement or repair but he told me that it is under Apple's warranty, not theirs. I do hope that I can get a help from you because I want to really enjoy my device. Thank you and Im looking forward for the responce/assistance form you.I suggest you don't apply pressure to the screen - it's a Touch - you touch the screen not push it.

In the about:config page the keyword.enabled value is set to "true". And the keyword.URL value is set to "default". When I type a phrase in the Address Bar, a page with a Yahoo! search result opens unlike intuitively loading the relevant page using Google. Why is this happening?

Contact the original owner, and ask them to remove the device from their icloud.

How can cocoa app get attachment in Drag & Drop email(s) from Mail?

I would like to drag and drop one or more emails from Apple's Mail application to a cocoa application and have the cocoa application find the path to the attachments in those emails. If I drag & drop a message from Mail to Text Edit, it creates a link with the message subject. If I hold the pointer over the link in Text Edit, it shows the contents of the link, which has the form:
message:%[email protected]%3E
If I click that link, it opens a new Mail window with the message. None of that is the message number as shown in Mail's viewer window.
I've also looked at what Pasteboard Peeker shows given a Drag & Drop from Mail. The above link data is from the public.url pasteboard type. Some of the others look interesting, but Pasteboard Peeker truncates the data read from the pasteboard, and the pasteboard types are probably nothing that we "supposed" to have access to since they have names like "Someone's super-secret pasteboard type". That tip takes me further down the field. And, I am able to do stuff like indent and change font color of my comments which is very helpful.
However, the big disappointment is that by dragging the original message to the Draft mailbox and then back to the original one after the edits is that it removes the original sender's name and puts mine in along with changing the heading info on date and time. That is, it creates a new message, rather than allowing me to modify the original one to suit my needs.
All the same, this was a very helpful tip. Thanks again.

Upgraded to 10.4.7, now can't drag & drop aiff files from a CD to my HD

I could always just drag aiff files from a CD onto my HD
to work on them before. Now, I get the "not permitted"
circle when I try to do this... and it happens on CDs I recorded,

Any ideas anyone? Thanks!I just tried it, using a commercial audio CD. No problem copying AIFF file from the CD onto the Desktop, using either an admin account or a normal user account.
If you're familiar with Terminal and Unix commands, you could take a look at /Volumes and see what the permissions are on the mounted audio CD. That might be where the problem lies, though I don't know what would cause it. -

In a new email message window start to type the name of the Group you have in Contacts/Address Book in the 'To' field - it should self-complete when it recognises the name.
(Note: this only works with 'normal' Groups and not Smart 'Groups'). -

There is no "web address" to your files and no way to "share" them with others (except photos). -
I just bought an iphone4 and is connected to my wifi at home but I can't bring anything up in the app store, itunes, etc. My husband has a droid 2 and he has no problems with the wifi? Any ideas?
If you look at the top left of your screen you will either see a 3G (or 4G if you have AT&T) or you will see the wi-fi symbol. If you don't see the wi-fi symbol you are connecting to Gmail through your cellular data plan, not via wi-fi.
To answer your question, it doesn't happen often but when it does the steps I mentioned above will normally resolve it. Hopefully you won't have any further problem with this. -
Cannot Drag & Drop Audio Files from iTunes into Project Timeline

I have an iMovie (10.0.6) project open. I click the iTunes icon to fetch an audio track and it won't allow me to drag/drop it into the timeline. Yet it allows me to drag/drop other tracks from the same playlist (all from the same CD). All tracks are the same file type and about the same size/length, yet one of them (the one i want) cannot be dragged/dropped into the timeline. This happened with another iMovie project recently (different tracks from a different CD, but same idea: can't drag/drop one track, but i'm able to drag/drop others).

I have aperture 3.2.4 on my laptop and have the serial number, but just bought a new MAC and I can't get the Ver 3.0 link to work. Anyone know how to move it from my laptop to our new mac?
I am talking about the Ver 3 download link that came with the purchase email.
That link is no longer available. Use "Migration Assistant" to copy your Applications from your old mac to the new Mac, then immediately run software update. Aperture Version 3.2 will not run on your new mac with Mavericks, you will have to Upgrade to version 3.4.5 at least - you can download this update from the Support page: Aperture 3.4.5
Then launch Aperture and enter your registration key and try now too update from version 3.4.5 to 3.5 from the AppStore. The AppStore will change your Aperture registration to an AppStore version, so you will able to reinstall by downloading from the AppSTore in future.
If you want transfer only Aperture and no other applications, do it manually: You will have to copy not only the application but folders from the libraries as well:
/Applications/Aperture.app
/Library/Application Support/Aperture/
~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/

The phone looked great with no problems and I even got the box with the accesories, so I knew it was his... I then did the reset on the phone (erase all data... from settings) and it went through and activated and everything was good... I used the phone for about a month with no problems at all, even had my apple ID in the icloud and everything... well ios 7.0.6 came out and I used my computer to restore the phone, because I feel that the cord and computer gives it a better restore, it did great no problems, and when it went to the part where I went to activate the phone, I get a enter your apple id and password to complete activation... Wait... why is this up i thought, I thought I did everything like I suppose to to succesfully switch it to me, the new owner... but now its asking for some C******@yahoo.com.... I only have @gmail.com emails and none start with a C... The guy sold me the phone because he was switching to Verizon, and I tried to call him, and now the number is disconnected... I guess he switched to Verizon with a new number... Now im stuck with a paperweight that costed me $200.00... What can I do at this point... Please help me... I restored it to give it to my Step Son as I just got me the iphone 5... Thank you for ANY HELP in advance... Thank you again.

Why can I not load pictures from a micro SD 64gb using scan disk adapter plugged into an Apple iPad camera connection kit. I have the iPhoto app but pictures not being seen on iPad. So incredibly frustrating. Apple please fix this.
Do you have a smaller capacity micro SD card to try? I seem to remember from past posts that users were having problems with cards larger than 32GB, however, Apple's page doesn't mention this.
